Personalized Gifts From Shutterfly

Thank you to Shutterfly for partnering with me on today’s post!

My Christmas decor is up, and I have been wanting to add a few special and meaningful ornaments to our family Christmas tree. I was so pleased when these personalized ornaments I created with Shutterfly arrived that I hung them up immediately. I find myself smiling every time I walk by and see these one-of-a-kind keepsakes!

The first ornament I created was one featuring my three adorable grandchildren. I chose the Modern Year Heart Glass Ornament in the square option, but you can also do a circle or hexagon shape.

I love that it’s dated, so we can always look back to know when this special memory was created. It came with a storage bag so I can safely put it away at the end of the season. One of the best things about personalized ornaments it can be enjoyed for years to come.

My husband’s mom and dad both passed away in 2018, and I wanted an ornament with their picture. They loved the holidays, and this is a great way to remember and feel their presence through the season. While browsing Shutterfly’s website, I found this beautiful Keyline Border Keepsake Ornament that worked perfectly for the look I wanted.

I loved the gorgeous silver scalloped shape and red ribbon tie that goes so well with my existing decorations. The back of this ornament can be engraved, which is perfect for commemorating loved ones that have gone on, remembering the year, or adding a special memo.

It’s hard going through the holiday season without our loved ones who have passed, but I know seeing this sentimental memento warms my husband’s heart (and mine)! I need to order a matching one with my mom’s photo.

Beauty For the Heart™“We love because he first loved us.” 1 John 4:19 NIV

Truth: If Christmas could be summed up in one word, I think it would be love. Love shown by a baby that came down from heaven to change us forever.

As we think about love, it’s easy to think about loving those who love us. It’s easy to love people who think like us or act like us. But what about the people who are different than us, the people who aren’t kind to us? True love is demonstrated when we show love to those who haven’t acted so lovely.

This Christmas, give the gift of love!

  1. Those are really pretty and such a good idea to add our loved ones who have passed away and are no longer able to be here to celebrate with us. I just may be looking into this for my tree. This is the first year we’ve had a artificial tree. We’ve had LIVE all these years. I found a beautiful one with pinecones and red berries and some of the branches look like they have snow on them. I looked for 2 years to find one that is good quality and looks real. I just added white balls and left it. It looks simple and beautiful. I’ve been trying to simply things during the holidays and this is one way I did it this year. I will probably miss having my ornaments on it, but I never really had ones that were of value to me(you know all those from ornament exchanges etc.) other than my German made ones I got in Germany years ago and I only have 8 of those. So, I think it might be fun to find pictures like you did that I want framed on my tree and have these ornaments made. Thank you for this post.

    1. Jennifer, I purchased similar berries several years ago from Hobby Lobby. Perhaps they may still carry them. Good luck.

    2. Jennifer……I bought my berries years ago from Micheal’s. I think you should be able to find them at any craft type store. Other ideas may be Hobby Lobby, Big Lots, Ben Franklin. You might even try Target or Fred Meyer in their Christmas section but with any of these places, things have been selling out fast since they’ve been out for over a month now.

  2. Thanks for sharing about these!! We do keepsake ornaments every year, but I love the idea of the photos, especially of our loved ones who are no longer with us! Now, if I can just remember this for next year…
    Thanks again!!

  3. I love personalized ornaments!! I also love that sweater. Can you send me a link for it?
    Merry Christmas!

  4. I love those ornaments. I think this is the 3rd or 4th year I’ve had one made from our Christmas card picture, and I get one for us, and both of the kids. I can’t wait to have a tree with them, and have sweet little pictures of grandchildren as they grow.

  5. Goodmorning Cyndi. My mom passed in September of 2020 from covid and it just devastated our family. She was a great women of faith. She loved Jesus with all her heart. My dad was a Pastor for 42 years and has retired as pastor but is still very much active in our church. He has started I guess you could say dating a lady who lost her husband too. She seems sweet. It has been very hard to see this happening as my dad and mom were married 52 years. I know ur dad has since Married too. How did you accept the new of your father being with someone else. It’s so scary that we’re gonna lose time with him to her family but we also know he has been very lonely.
