Holiday Try-On

Happy Tuesday! The holiday season is in full swing, and I’m sharing a holiday try-on with you today. You can wear these outfits to work, church, or a casual holiday get-together.

I love wearing white and black, so I paired a white sweater with black coated pants.

Crochet Sweater (Small ) • Coated Reese Utility Pant (4) • Black Booties (similar option here and here) • Earrings

You can’t wear this out and about, but I wanted to share some pajamas with you. My plaid pajama pants and slippers are from last year, so I included the updated options from J.Crew Factory.

Holiday Crew Shirt (Small) • Plaid Pajama Pant (Similar option HERE) • Slippers (Another option HERE)

This green sweater is perfect for some holiday shopping or a casual work option.

Turtleneck Sweater (Small) • Bootcut Jeans (4) • White Bootie (I sized up 1/2 size)

I paired this pretty blouse with black pants and booties.

Green Blouse (Small) • Black Pants (6) • Black Bootie (similar option here and here) • Earrings

Another pretty green blouse and I paired this with my plaid pants and black heels.

Green Blouse (Small) • Plaid Pants (6) • Black HeelEarrings

Here are more options for the holiday season: (click the picture for details).

I love wearing red and green during the holiday season. What’s your favorite color to wear this time of year?

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to stop by my blog. I’m also on FacebookPinterest, and Instagram.

Beauty For the Heart™Where you set your hope this Christmas season will determine how you find joy. -Ruth Chou Simons

Truth: I have been going through the 25-day journey from the book Emmanuel by Ruth Chou Simons. I love the above quote because it reminds us when we look for “things” to bring us joy we will always feel empty.

If we want a Christmas that is filled with joy, our focus needs to be on the gift of Jesus. He’s our hope and our true joy.

  1. Hi Cindy, I was interested in the black heel with the plaid pants. The link below the picture took me to the pajamas instead of the shoes.🙁 Interesting to hear that you were once in full time ministry…we share that piece of life history with you – great idea to take everyone lunch .

  2. Thanks for sharing what you and Wayne do for your church staff. It’s so heart warming to hear and is truly in the spirit of the season. Also, I like that you included a cozy pair of winter pajamas in your post. Cute!

    1. You and Wayne are so kind!!! How nice you give to your church leaders like that! What a blessing you are to us women on your blog — and everyone! Thank you for all you do —and have a lot of fun today 😊❤️

  3. I wish Amazon recognized that many of us need XS as a size option! Especially as so many pieces run bigger than usual. They have lost a lot of my business because their clothes are too big!

  4. Sounds like you have a busy, fun day and night ahead. Such a great idea to take lunch to your church staff. You both know how it is and so you know what they need. That’s great. Have a fun womans social. We just had ours last Saturday. Always a good time when ladies get together. Share your outfit you decide to wear. I’m sure you have lots of good options to choose from. Enjoyed the options you shared today in your post.

  5. What a fun day you have ahead! I work for Refuge for Women! It’s a fabulous ministry where God is doing miraculous things in the lives of women! And I love that I am a part of his work! Have a blessed day!

    1. Christine….. That’s wonderful that you work for such a great ministry. I haven’t heard about it before. Bless you.

  6. Cyndi, thank you for the recommendation of the Emmanuel book by Ruth Chou Simons – beautiful and inspirational…definitely setting the right tone for the holidays…I have gifted it to my daughter and daughter-in-laws…

  7. Hiii! Cyndi, good morning is it to much to ask what are you serving for your church lunch staff? I’am planning or would like to do the same for my choir group, but have no idea what to serve. Help me. interesting/funny you posted this as have ben thinking about it all day yesterday ~.~ thank you ruthy & Merry Christmas

    1. Oh gosh, we ordered chicken minis from Chick-fil-A and their fruit cup, and yogurt. We also brought water, tea and soft drinks.
My husband also writes each of them a note and gives them money. We feel it’s the least we can do for them, they are servants and we appreciate them so much!
