Refresh Your Winter Basics

Thank you to Gap Factory and ShopStyle Collective for sponsoring this post.

This time of year, I love having cute sweaters that I can easily style with denim. Gap Factory helps you refresh your winter basics, and right now, they have a Winter Sale, so this is a great time to grab some basics.

They’ve got almost everything marked 40%–70% off through 1/17, plus you’ll save an additional 65% off clearance items with the code GFCHILLY.

Refresh Your Winter Basics

This striped sweater is a soft cotton knit with drop shoulders.

I paired it with these destructed slim straight-leg jeans. If you don’t like jeans with holes, keep scrolling. I have another pair without any distressing.

This denim jacket is a must for me. I love wearing it when winter is mild, but I really wear it a lot in spring.

This ribbed sweater has colorblocking and is super soft.

It also has banded cuffs on the sleeve.

Lastly, you can’t go wrong with a neutral sweater, and these ’70s flare jeans are amazing!

If you’re a flare jeans fan, you will want to grab these. They run TTS.

Beauty For the Heart™Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. 1 Corinthians 9:24-25

Truth: Perseverance, persistence, the prize! We were never promised an easy life, but Paul constantly reminds us that we must have a purpose and a plan because times will be difficult. We never persevere without the promise of a prize–a promise God will keep.

  1. I was looking at their jeans yesterday. I like the flare jeans you are styling. I’m afraid of going true to size because lately it’s hit or miss. Old Navy is a sister company of Gap and their size 4p, which is my true size, is too big for me. Another thing is petite inseam length. I need no longer than a 28 because of my short legs. I’m trying to find crop flares in regular length so they can fit me as full length pants.

    1. I have found petite cropped jeans at Banana Republic outlet. That is all we have here in central Mississippi. Not a regular BR. I have recently bought a black cropped flare and 1 dark jean flare pair. Both fit to a T. Then got online later and found another pair at BR factory of cropped flares for $13 on clearance so ordered them too. There are slight flares and I always get a 2P and they fit great. You can use your Old Navy rewards there too I believe. I have short legs too. Good luck!

  2. You are in for a treat once you get to Florida. I live in Jupiter and the weather has been spectacular. It will be a bit chilly this weekend but will warm back up. Enjoy your stay. By the way, I was searching Pinterest for hairstyles, clicked a link and there you were amongst the recommended styles.

  3. I think I’ll never get used to distressed jeans. The idea of wearing something with holes in it is embarrassing to me, but that the holes were put into perfectly good (and expensive!) clothing ON PURPOSE confounds me.

  4. Hi! Llloooonnnnggg time follower here! You look great. Two questions – is the front tuck still in style and if so, with or without a belt? If full tucking is back, I’m also wondering about a belt. Thank you in advance.

  5. Love all these and will check out. I have a problem if not petite jeans or pants being too long. I have solved that this year by buying cropped flares. I love these 70’s flare jeans. Will check out the sizing chart on inseam for short. Thanks for passing this on to us!
