Spring Taco Salad Fiesta with Walmart+

Tremendous thanks to Walmart+ for sponsoring this post.

I’m excited to share a spring recipe with you that my mom used to make for us. She loved making things special for her family, and I hope to pass that tradition down to my children and grandchildren.

Springtime Taco Salad got its name because of its flower-like appearance. This special taco salad is served on individual plates, and for smaller children, use dessert plates. It is perfect for patio entertaining or special families, just like yours!

As always, I ordered all my groceries using my Walmart+ membership and had them delivered right to my door. It’s so convenient, and with my membership, I get free grocery delivery (with a $35 minimum, restrictions apply).

I can’t tell you how much this helps me after working all week. I can order my groceries and have them delivered on Saturday without ever leaving my house. My Walmart+ membership makes entertaining so easy!

SPRINGTIME TACO SALAD

1 1/2 lbs. hamburger
1 package taco seasoning mix
8 oz. can tomato sauce
1/2 cup water
Tomatoes chopped
8 oz. cheddar or Mexican cheddar cheese
Shredded lettuce
Crispy round tortilla chips
Sour cream
Salsa
Brown hamburger in a larger skillet over medium heat. Drain grease. Add tomato sauce, water, and taco seasoning, and mix. Simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes. Stir occasionally.

While the meat mixture is simmering, chop tomatoes.

Layer the lettuce, meat mixture, tomatoes, and shredded cheese on each individual plate. Arrange tortilla chips around the edge of the plate. Top with sour cream and salsa, as desired.

My pretty plates are from Walmart, the Pioneer Woman Vintage Bloom plates. I love using them on Sundays when my family comes over.

I love making this for my grandkids on Sundays when they come for Sunday dinner. I let them place the tortilla chips around the plate and create their own flower.

It’s so good! And I love making memories with my family making a Siesta Taco Salad.

My Walmart+ membership makes creating memories with my family stress-free! I can order all my groceries on Saturday to have everything I need for Sunday dinner, and the best part is I don’t have to leave my house.

Beauty for the Heart™So if you are suffering in a manner that pleases God, keep on doing what is right, and trust your lives to the God who created you, for he will never fail you. 1 Peter 4:19

Truth: A season of suffering is a small assignment when compared to the reward. Rather than begrudge your problem, explore it. Ponder it. And most of all, use it. Use it for the glory of God. -Max Lucado

  1. Great minds think alike! I made taco meat yesterday so that my husband and I can have taco salads for lunches all week long. I never thought to turn each salad into a flower. Brilliant!
