Beauty For the Heart™You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. Isaiah 26:3

Truth: Perfect peace is not the absence of problems or trials. It is being calm, even in the midst of chaos. It is a peace that comes from knowing that God is in control and loves us.

But what does it mean to have a steadfast mind? A steadfast mind is one that is fixed on God. It is a mind that is not easily shaken by the storms of life. It is a mind that knows that God is in control and will never leave us.

Trusting in God means believing that he is who he says he is and that he will do what he says he will do.

When we have a steadfast mind and trust in God, we can experience perfect peace.

Let your beauty shine from the inside out today.

  1. Sounds like you have a pool at your new house. So fun for the grands. Where I live pools rarely are built in. Glad you already made first memories with your family. The boxes will still be there. I just sat down to read your post. I’m tired from 3 1/2 hours of chasing 4 yr olds at VBS. I’m too old for this. Lol. No, it’s been fun a time as usual. Happy unpacking. Bless you.

  2. Awww, that is precious. What a wonderful way to start making new memories in your new house.
    Love. Sharon

  3. Hi Cyndi, I can totally relate to your moving stories. A few nights ago I wanted to make a certain meal for dinner only to realize minutes before I started that some of my cooking utensils were still back at the other house! We are 25 minutes away so I had to change gears! It will all come together eventually. Thank you for continuing to post. Your BFTH’s always help.

  4. I packed up & moved from Texas to Arkansas in April of 2022 to be near family. I had been in full time children’s ministry for around 48 years & every move had been packed & paid for by a church until now. I was so exhausted after the move that it took around 6 weeks before I felt like myself!!

I had put myself in storage & began house hunting. It was a hard and exhausting process & after being with my sister for 9 months I finally decided to rent. I finally moved into my own place in January of this year, but again, the unpacking was exhausting.

I say all this to say I completely understand how you’re feeling right now. I have 3 grown nieces that stepped in & helped unpack the kitchen, bedding & bathroom items – the rest was left to me. It a lot physically & emotionally.

Praying as you settle in that things will be easier than you dreamed & that your home will be set up and feel like home soon.

    Blessings – Sherli

  5. I laughed when I read your comment on remembering how tired you are so you might not want to move again….well that might work…you never know! LOL I also like to move! The pain is forgotten as soon as we’re settled in.

  6. Cyndi, I’m glad you’re making New Memories in your New home♥️with your precious family 🥰
It doesn’t take long .. God’s timing is Always right!!
God bless you and your beautiful family 🙏🏻

  7. Good Morning! I know you are going to think I am crazy BUT I LOVE TO MOVE!!! I get excited in the organizing of the boxes, the purging of stuff, the freshness of a new place/new adventures. I love to wake up in a new house and see how the morning light comes through. I love unpacking boxes and remembering the background of the items. Have a happy unpacking day in your new fresh start and enjoy the first cup of coffee in your new home.

  8. Hi Cyndi……..Glad you have gotten moved in and survived the chaotic mess. We moved twice in 2019 in 6 months time span so I really know what you mean about never thinking about moving again ever. ha! My husband wanted a barn or shop and finally got it. Glad you found the coffee pot…..real important it is first thing in the morning. Hope today gets easier for you!!!

  9. I’m just catching up on reading. I’m so sorry that you and your husband were suffering when you last moved. The good news is, you healed and created many happy memories in your last house. I love that you set aside unpacking for the evening to start your life in the new house by making happy, family memories. Also glad you found your Keurig!

  10. Cyndi-
I’m so happy to hear that your grandchildren have filled your home with sound! I remember that being the thing that made our house feel like home for me- the sound of our grands. Getting your rooms to your liking will certainly make you two feel more at home and settled.
Thank you for the updates and for continuing to post, you are remaining calm.
    Enjoy each day-
    Donna
