Get Ready With Me!

We have moved to our new house, and there are boxes everywhere! Even though we’re unpacking, I wanted to share the tarte sale with you. They’re having a 30% off sitewide + free shipping sale with code FAM30. I use quite a few tarte products, so I thought I would do a Get Ready With Me post.

Beauty For the Heart™But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me. 1 Corinthians 5:10

Truth: This verse is a powerful reminder that everything we have and accomplish is because of God’s grace. We can never boast about our accomplishments because they are all made possible by God’s grace.

Paul was a perfect example of this truth. He worked as hard as anyone else to spread the gospel, but he always acknowledged that God’s grace enabled him to do so. He knew that he was nothing without God’s help.

This verse can also be a source of encouragement for us. When we feel discouraged or feel like we’re not good enough, we can remember that it’s not about us. It’s about God’s grace. And God’s grace is sufficient for us.

  1. Hi Cyndi,
I’m just finding you! I know…where have I been? lol I just turned 55 and I love your look…hair, makeup, all of it. I’ve ordered the giorgio armani foundation to try and I want to get the charlotte tilbury finishing powder. Could you tell me what shade you use in the finishing powder?

  2. Ummmm, I think I missed something…you moved??!! Are you still in Georgetown? Have been following along but must have blinked when you mentioned it. I saw the post with the Walmart boxes and that’s when I figured things out. Not the sharpest knife in the drawer over here!!

Anxious to see pictures of the new house. My sister and I love to go to a scrapbook store in Georgetown when we visit KY. I always think of you when we are there.

  3. Hi Cyndi, I love this new feature “Get Ready With Me” I’m always I need of new makeup application tips! Since I just moved to a new house, buying cosmetics and clothes are on hold. I need to focus on area rugs since there is luxury vinyl flooring throughout the entire house. It’s what we wanted so it’s fun. Enjoy your new home and can’t wait to see how your paint colors came out!

  4. That was a very helpful tutorial. I like Tarte products. Lately I’m getting cheap and buying Elf products. They copy Tarte. I wish I could wear mascara on lower lashes. I end up like a raccoon.

Looking forward to seeing how you decorate your new house. You have such good taste it’s going to be beautiful.

  5. Blessings to you on your new home, and may He use it for His Kingdom. I have not moved very much in my 68 years but I find I love to declutter and only have the things in the kitchen that I use. Enjoy unpacking and enjoy making it YOURS…. My husband’s favorite saying is “Grace in, Grace out”.

  6. I have been obsessed lately with your hair. What product do you use that gives it that healthy look and SHINE 🙂 (the shine is what I am obsessed with). Lol

    Love your blog.

  7. Cyndi – the most beautiful part of your face make-up is your smile!

I’ve moved a lot – best wishes with your settling in.

  8. Wishing you all the best in your new adventure with a new home. I’ve been following you for many years and remember when you purchased your last home and the peace and healing it provided. I’m sure this home will become the same comfort to you with time and memories.

Question on the brown pencil you show using in the picture for the lower lash liner, yet the link takes me to the eye shadow pallet. Wondering if you could link the brown pencil if that’s what you use. I also would love a tutorial on putting the liner pencil on the waterline.

    1. Hi Linda! I’m using a small eyeliner brush on my bottom lashline. I use the tarte brown (there’s two and I use either one) eyeshadow and line my lower lash line. I try to keep it soft.
      I hope that makes sense!

      1. Yes that helps explain. I have that shadow pallet so will try that. I plan to order the duo eyeliner for the waterline. I love that simple yet effective look

  9. Cyndi,
Thank you for continuing to post during your move. We move frequently, and the stress and to-do lists can be overwhelming. I use a lot of tarte products too, and I love them. Could you give a quick explanation/tutorial on lining your waterline? I love the natural look it gives but don’t know how to do it.
Thanks again and good luck with the painting.
    MM

  10. Cyndi-
The walls will look wonderful and a fresh coat of paint makes everything smell and feel fresh.
Yes, when you can find the light switch on the first try in a new home, it’s going to be a great day! Please don’t worry about those boxes, they will be a memory and a good laugh in six months.
    Donna

  11. Good morning!
I’ve been meaning to write and wish you all the best in your new home! I look forward to seeing it completed.
I enjoy your daily tips and I enjoy taking this journey with you!

    1. Sara I use all of them. They’re all such great colors. If I have to choose the bottom ones are probably my favorite (funny girl, sweetheart, rebel and leader).
