Happy Monday! Today I’m sharing things I’ve recently purchased for our new home. These are small items, and most of them are to help us get organized.
It takes time to put everything away, but hopefully, we’ll have most of it done in the next few weeks, and it will start feeling like home.
Things I’ve Recently Purchased For Our New Home
1. Touchless Bathroom Garbage Can – I finally decided to try this small garbage can in our bathroom. So far, I like it; I just need to ensure I always have AA batteries.
2. Disposable Bathroom Napkins– I use these in our guest bathroom since there’s no towel rack. We may put one in there at some point, but it’s not a priority at the moment.
3. Silverware Drawer Organization– I love this bamboo silverware tray!
4. Wood Lazy Susan Organizer– I use this in my cabinet for my olive and avocado oils.
5. Non-Velvet Hangers– I like the thin velvet hangers, but not for all my clothes, so we’ve been switching over to these hangers.
6. Weighted Paper Towel Holder– I needed an extra paper towel holder for a sink near my laundry room and purchased this one.
7. Stripe Pot Holder Set– I needed new pot holders. These come in several colors; I like the blue ones.
8. Utensil Organizer– I purchased this for some of my utensils to help keep them organized.
9. Heavy-Duty Hooks– I love hooks! I use them everywhere, including under my sink area for my dishtowels.
10. Bamboo Drawer Organizer– I’m using this bamboo container in my bathroom for my makeup.
We’re slowly putting things away in our new home, and trying to make sure it’s organized. Let me know if you have any great organization tips that you use.
Thank you for taking the time out of your day to stop by my blog. I’m also on Facebook, Pinterest, and Instagram.
Beauty For the Heart™– Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Matthew 6:34
Truth: We all worry about things, big and small. But Jesus tells us not to worry about tomorrow. Why? Because He holds our tomorrows.
When we worry about tomorrow, we’re saying that we don’t believe He will take care of us. But God is so faithful, and He loves us. He’s promised to provide for our needs, both today and tomorrow.
So, if you’re feeling worried today, I encourage you to take a deep breath and remember Jesus’ words. Don’t worry about tomorrow. Trust God, and focus on the present moment.
Let your beauty shine from the inside out today!

I live in an apartment but find that I could use all your new finds for your new house. I also like your message. Did you downsize your home? I really like it.
Hi Cyndi,
Why did you move? I’ve missed so many posts (because of heavy work + life schedule) and I don’t know where to find it. Maybe you or one of your readers can fill me in?
Thanks!
This one item that has helped me tremendously in keeping the clutter down. are 24 shoe pocket over-the-door holders that hangs inside the closet door, I have one in the office and another in the guest bedroom. The one in the office keeps my gift tags, cording for wrapping presents, small gift boxes etc… The one in the guest bedroom I use for all the dress-up accessories. The grandkids love to play dress up, so they can easily access the crazy glasses, jewelry, scarfs etc.. It is easy to cleanup when they are done.
Thanks for the beauty for the heart, I needed that today. Have fun organizing. My biggest tip is to put everything up somewhere, even if you’re not sure it’ll stay there. It’s easier to decide if you like things in a particular spot after living with it for a few days, and having it all out of sight keeps it from being overwhelming. Hope y’all are very happy in your new home!
I have a question. Does the little furniture Bisell cleaner you bought work. I need to try something for my light beige chairs. They are only two years old and the arms are spoiling. Not sure what to clean them with. I use to have darker furniture. Thanks cyndi. Happy organizing.
I LOVE to organize and can usually be found “tweeking” stuff even. one thing I like is lazy susans in my fridge and you can make your own with platters or plates to the size you need and then buy the hardward to turn it at a hardware store very cheap. Also, I find that when setting up the pantry no matter how big or small, grouping like stuff together and possibly even putting in a basket or tub to contain it helps. If you have specific things your trying to organize throw it out there cause I bet someone from our group has ideas 🙂

hi Cyndi! You’re doing such an amazing job; how you do this? Is unknown to me, but from where I’m at, I can see God’s Blessing and Prayers being answered, I thank God for You every time I open up my email, for the Special gifts and talents HE has bestowed on You. You are a Wonderful Blessing in my life:) Xx-ruthy *Ps. You Got This!
Cyndi-
My most important organizing tip is to declutter as you go. I think I remember you posting that you and Wayne were doing that before the move. I try to remember- one thing comes in, one thing goes out- whether I donate, recycle or trash it.
Thank you for sharing yesterday, I remember that being a tough journey for your whole family, especially Courtney and Caroline. We all have so much to be thankful for, all we need to do is look around.
Enjoy your family celebrations, setting in will be there when you get around to it. Thanks for the home updates!
