Welcome to a new week! Every Monday this month, I’ve shared fashion trends for the fall season. On this last Monday in August, I’ll finish with 5 Fall Trends I’m Adding to My Wardrobe.
These trends are wearable pieces and are perfect for early fall.
Here are the 5 Fall Trends I’m Adding to My Wardrobe
1. Vest
Whether it’s a sweater vest or a button front vest, you’ll see them everywhere this fall. Wear the vest alone if the weather is warm, or add a shirt under it if the weather is chilly.
2. Cropped Cardigan
Cardigans are always great for cooler weather, but crop cardigans are the way to go for a trendier look.
3. Teardrop Earrings
Chunky teardrop earrings are trending for fall. They’re inspired by the Bottega Venta earrings, but you can get the look for much less.
4. Sweater Dress
Whether fitted or loose, sweater dresses are a great and trendy option this fall.
5. Sneakers
I love shoes, and this is not a new trend, but sneakers are still trending. You can wear them with casual looks and dresses.

I already have 2 vests I bought last Fall and a cropped cardigan as well. So glad they are still on trend. I’m considering adding a sweater dress and the Steve Madden sneakers. I love the cableknit sweater dress from Amazon. It looks so warm, cozy and easy to wear, one and done! Now if I could just find a pair of low heeled suede boots to go with it!

Don’t like vests without a blouse under and then that adds bulk so not for me. Loves weather dresses but weather not cold enough to wear very much in my area.

Love the beige Steve Madden tennis shoes. I’m all about comfort at this stage in my life as a stay at home grandmother to my two year old granddaughter. Even though I’m not buying many clothes right now I still enjoy everything you share with us Cyndi and I have to say the clothes always look much better on you than the models. Enjoy your birthday celebrations over labor day ….family is so so precious!! I live in the beautiful North Carolina mountains and me and my daughter are always ready to get our fall decorating started when September gets here . Fall is our favorite season but it just doesn’t last long enough. Love the BFTH ….we are only making ourselves miserable when we cannot forgive others and thank goodness we serve a God who forgives us over and over again when we ask him too. Have a blessed day!
I will have my Fall decorations out in the next couple of weeks. Fall is. my favorite season! I will try all these trends except the fitted suit like vest.
I won’t wear a vest and I personally don’t think a vest without anything under it is a classy look for women over 40.
Only thing I’m not sure about is the vest, just not me. I like everything else. I will bring fall decor out before we leave on the 13th heading to the East Foast.

I like the crop cardigans. Not found of vests but I don’t work in an office, nor chunky earrings. I remember ages ago having to remove earrings to talk on the phone 😂
I have all these trends from last year except a vest. I like the ones above. I hope I get to wear my sweater dress this year. I bought one last December. Every Sunday from January to March was to warm to wear it to church. It would be cold during the week but too warm on Sundays. It has to be in the 40s for me to wear a sweater dress with wool and a high neck. I decorate for fall in late September. I can’t get in the mood if it’s full blast summer outside. We had light rain at my house yesterday afternoon. It was nice to see it and the cool down. Praying for more.

I have some form of all of these, but looking forward to how you style them! I wore a neutral style sweater vest yesterday to church with a wide leg linen pant!
I don’t decorate for fall until the weather consistently feels like fall! Today will be a pool day not sure how many more we’ll have!
I also have two immediate family birthdays in September and one in October! The fall is always busy for us!
