September QVC Finds

Thank you to QVC + Collective Voice for sponsoring this post.

I’ve shared with you that we are traveling to Israel at the end of October. I’ve asked what things I should pack, and almost everyone has said Apple AirTags.

Technology finds from QVC

Apple AirTags help keep track of your keys, wallet, luggage, backpack, and more, all in the Find My App on your iPhone. QVC has a 4-pack bundle for $119.98 (Reg. $199.00). I was so excited to get these for our upcoming trip!

With the tags, you play a sound on the built-in speaker or say, “Hey Siri, find my luggage.” With select iPhone models, precision finding can lead you right to your nearby AirTag.

If it’s further away, hundreds of millions of Apple devices in the Find My network can help track it down. All are anonymous and encrypted for privacy. I added an AirTag to my key chain, but I will also put one in my suitcase when we travel to Israel.

I’ll feel better knowing I have an AirTag in my luggage to track it, but let’s hope it doesn’t get lost!

Beauty for the Heart™– For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7

Truth: Fear is a real problem for many of us, and with all that is going on in our world, more than ever, people are living in fear. Fear does not come from God, and He doesn’t want us to live in fear.

When I’m feeling fearful, I read this verse and claim God’s promise. God has given us a spirit of power, love, and self-discipline.

Let your beauty shine from the inside out!

  1. I just read about your planned trip to Israel. Today is Oct 8, with the terrible war in Israel going on. I hope you are still home, if not, I pray for safety for you and your husband. Also I pray for Israel and all its people. You mentioned fear. It is very real now.

  2. I’m curious…my niece is currently in Israel. Many ladies here are commenting about trips planned there as well. Is this the new travel destination? It seems like an inordinate number of people going there. Just curious?

  3. Elemis is the best skin care on the market! You will never want to use anything else. I know this was a QVC ad but Amazon carries Elemis and prices are much better than those at QVC of course. It helps knowing that for those of us who might be very limited to spending huge amounts of money on self care. Have a wonderful time on your trip to God’s Country and enjoy every moment!

  4. Hi Cindy- I am also traveling to Israel at the end of October. Do you have a packing list to share with the ideas you have received from your followers? I am only planning on taking a carry on bag so I need to be very intentional on what I pack. Thanks!

    1. So I have this list but I’m sharing
      Packing for Trip to Israel

Of course, everyone will have different needs, but here are the things we talked about.

We’ll want to check the weather a few weeks before and see if they’re having normal fall temperatures.

It can be chilly in the mornings and evenings, so layering is a good option. We will be riding on buses a lot, and you can leave jackets or extra items on the bus when we get off if you need to.

      Packing suggestions:

Compression socks for the long plane ride.

Converter (changes the voltage found in an outlet to match that of your devices.)

Universal Adapter (helps the plugs on your electronics fit into foreign outlets.)

The dress is casual; we won’t be dressing up for any event.

      T-shirts
      Long sleeve shirts
      Sweatshirt

You can wear jeans, pants, skirts, or casual dresses. Whatever is most comfortable for you.

A poncho/rain jacket in case it rains and a lightweight jacket.

Comfortable walking shoes since we will be walking a lot.

      Sunscreen

If you’re going to swim in the Dead Sea or get baptized in the Jordan River, you can wear a conservative swimsuit or, if you prefer, a T-shirt and shorts. Also, you might bring a pair of water shoes.

Bring some small plastic bags (grocery bags are fine) to put your wet clothes in.

If you want to keep up with your luggage, a lot of people use Apple AirTags in their luggage.

  5. We just came back from a trip to Belgium. I used packing cubes to keep my self organized. This worked great. I usually pack lots of shoes but kept it simple. Sandals for the evening and tennis shoes for the day. (ones that look good with dresses and pants). Air tags a must now when we fly. Also brings small bottles of medicine. The food is cooked so different from here. I also brought a small fan that I have in my drawer in the bathroom to put on my makeup. We didn’t have any air conditioner where we were staying so it came in handy applying my makeup in the morning.
Have a wonderful time in a beautiful and holy country!

  6. I just got back from Israel. I wore mostly long dresses and comfortable shoes. You will need your shoulders and knees covered in the holy sites I took a backpack and one carry on piece of luggage. I used Air Tags as well. We lost one piece of luggage, but received it in 2 days. It’s an amazing place! Have a wonderful time!

  7. My daughter and her husband travel to Florence, had 3 suitcases, 2 air tags. The suitcase with no AirTag was lost. It had all their Italy purchases in it. I’d suggest one for each bad you take.
    Have a wonderful, safe trip.

  8. Hi Cyndi, I’m so excited for you and can’t wait to hear about your trip. We go in March with my church. I’m banking on your expertise when you get back. Thank you for all the information you send our way.

  9. I look forward to learning what you are packing for Israel. My husband and I will be traveling there with a group from our church the middle of October. I hope to get everything in my 2 carry on bags. Thank you for all of the suggestions you send our way!

  10. Layer, layer, layer. It will be chilly in the am and warm up as the day goes on. Your life will be changed by your trip to Israel and when you come home you will be homesick for it. It is an amazing journey!

  11. Hi Cyndi!
My husband and I actually leave for Israel mid October. We are super excited! Thanks to all the comments submitted to help us out with packing and especially to the person that reminded us about Matthew 6.

I too am an over packer and over thinker and need to be reminded to just go and experience all that the Lord has in store for me.

  12. Great tips from your readers here! My friend just went to Israel, she said comfortable shoes and a jacket are a must!! What a blessing to be able to go!! <3 Enjoy every moment!

I was just listening to a podcast where the host read Mathew 6, it reminded me that God gives us the grace when we need it, and that gives me freedom to no longer fear about news, or current events, what I will eat, or wear, or sleep… I can rest in knowing this. <3

    Blessings!

  13. I was just reading the verse from Timothy. It’s a verse Christians need to remember when they listen to the news. I agree with your reader that said it’s not a fashion show but take what will keep you comfortable. When I went I just wanted to be warm and my feet not hurt. Being cold did distract me especially one day. I think going in the fall will be better than winter. Please show us what you pack. I’m excited for you.

  14. Pack as light as you can, you can wear a pair of jeans 2-3 days, I took plenty of socks/underwear, light jacket and rain jacket-dress in layers, you can always shed them and tie the jacket around your waist.
Don’t see Israel through the eye of the camera and it’s hard not to as you want to take pictures of everything. My favorite two spots were the garden tomb and the See of Galilee mainly because they had not been changed by man. Keep your hands in your pockets or close to your side-if your in a market place or a street vendor is near by. If you take something they are trying to give you, you have bought it, I pray your guide is a Jewish Christian. I pray God has something special just for you!!!

  15. I really hope you will share what you pack/wear to Israel. I am going in March and would love ideas on what to take! I pray you have a safe and memorable trip!

  16. Great suggestions Cyndi!!! I have been traveling more since I retired and just started using “packing cubes”, which for me was a game changer. I don’t think I can go back to my “old” way of packing. I will say do “whatever works for you and where you are traveling too”. I also limit my wardrobe to a certain color theme so I can mix and match easily because I am definitely an over packer. I look forward to seeing more posts about what you pack to wear and lots of pics after your amazing trip.
    ~Lisa~

  17. My only packing too is to limit your colors. I went to Ireland with black, white, and green clothes. And two bright scarfs; scarf were popular at the time! I was able to mix and match my outfits throughout the trip👍
    Have a wonderful vacation!!

  18. Just remember, traveling is not necessarily a fashion show…. Comfort and multi wear use is the key along with comfy shoes!
Keep your valuables close and don’t take your best accessories. You carry your crossbody bag and your husband Carrie’s the backpack.
I always have own and small pad handle for writing down interesting stuff.
This is a wonderful trip and will overwhelm your heart and soul but be watchful of your surroundings!
Have a wonderful time with memories which will last a lifetime! After many years of traveling, this was a major highlight!!
