Truth: I tend to worry and focus on the what-ifs. We are leaving for a 2-week trip to Israel next month, and I’ve been worrying about the what-ifs.
I have to remind myself that Jesus doesn’t want me to worry. When I’m worrying and fearful, I’m looking at my situation through my own eyes and not looking with eyes of faith.
When my eyes are fixed on Jesus instead of my circumstances, I remember He is faithful. He has been faithful in my past and will be faithful in my future.
Is there something worrying you today? Change your focus. Look up and remember that He is faithful!

Prayers for safe travels and a blessed trip.
When we were planning our trip to Israel in 2009, I was very concerned about our safety. My husband reminded me that there never has been, nor will there ever be, a “safe” or “better” time to go to Israel. Israel is surrounded by her enemies. The youth of Israel all mandatorily enter the military. It is not unusual to see a young person seated with their rifle across their knees, eating their lunch in a local restaurant, or girls hanging out on the street with guns slung over their shoulders. They are protecting their homeland. Tourism is Israel’s biggest industry. They will do whatever it takes to protect their tourists. Most tourists travel from site to site on tourist busses that cost anywhere from $400,000 and up (ours was a Mercedes). These tourist companies not only want to ensure your safety, but they want to protect their busses too! I never felt unsafe in Israel. Visiting Israel is a once in lifetime trip. The words of the Bible will jump off of the page after your trip, as you remember the specific places you visited and remember what it looked like and felt like as you stood there, the very place mentioned in the Bible. I am so glad you are able to make this trip. I will be praying that it is truly a blessing to you.

I’ll be praying for your trip. I understand as I can be the same way when traveling. God is so good and I love His promises He gives us in His Word to take care of all our needs. What a wonderful opportunity you have, to get to go on this trip. I’ve never been but friends of mine have and they say it changes you to walk where Jesus walked etc. enjoy. Great ideas for organizing. I plan to keep this list for future reference. I could use that belt rack. 🙂
