Hi ladies! As you all know by now, I’ve been talking a lot about fall trends and classic pieces to add to your wardrobe. Athletic Jackets

These lightweight, thin jackets are perfect for layering in the colder months. Athletic jackets are also very slimming as well. They look good on all body types and help add some definition. I’ve added alternative options below that range in style and price.

Puffer Vest

Puffer vests are one of my favorite fall jacket trends. They are versatile and the perfect accent piece for a more casual look. There are so many different colors and styles, whether cropped, long, hot pink, or neutral brown.

These are classic pieces that can be hard to style at times, but I recommend pairing them with a casual crew, straight-leg jeans, and your favorite sneakers!

These quilted jackets have always been a favorite of mine. I love the detail, design, and how unbelievably comfortable they are to wear. They are not too heavy to wear for extended periods, and they will keep you warm.

They range in style and color, but my go-to is always a neutral-colored one because it can be paired and layered on top of almost any look.

Another trendy style is wearing these jackets as an oversized look, giving you the perfect throw-on-and-go look.

As we all know by now, denim is THE fall trend this year, and this one from Gap Factory is perfect! The puff sleeves add a nice touch, making it look more chic. I styled this denim jacket with a casual t-shirt and joggers, but it could also be paired with a fall sweater dress and tall boots. Below are different alternatives.

  2. Love the Beauty for the heart message. I have a version of all these jackets except the puffer vest. I never wear vests as outerwear because my arms get too cold. I just bought a new Sherpa jacket at Kohl’s. I wish it could get cold or even chilly soon.

  3. I love jacket season time. I have a new quilted one I just wore for the first time from Evereve, that I bought on sale awhile back, but too hot to wear before now. It hit Fall here in the Northwest overnight.

  4. Love these jacket choices. I’ve been wanting to get a Sherpa and a new black puffer! Super cute.
    Question about how to style high waisted jeans/pants…I’ve been trying to wear high waisted pants for about a year now. I’m 5’3, 123 pounds but have a muffin top. Ugh!! I’m trying to get rid of. Until that time these pants look terrible on me. Any suggestions? I love my skinny jeans but know they’re not really in style. Thank you 💭

    1. Lauri I find high waisted jeans keep me from having muffin top. It holds all the fluff in. I get muffin top when I wear midrise. Im petite and I style my high waist jeans with a more fitted top. You also could get a top that covers the part you want to hide and wear a jacket or blazer. Your weight and height seem normal range. I’m an inch shorter and a few pounds lighter. High waisted jeans and pants work for me.
