Holiday Activities | Ice Skating

The holiday season is a time of magic and wonder, and one of the best ways to unleash your inner ice queen is by hitting the ice rink. Below is an example of an outfit from Old Navy. Ice skating can be pretty active, so I prefer a more active look, and to stay warm, I like to add a thick scar, gloves, and leg warmers.

Holiday Activities | Church Service

As the holiday season approaches, many people are caught up in the chaos of shopping, party planning, and endless to-do lists. A church service can be a meaningful activity where we celebrate the true meaning of Christmas. It’s a time to come together, sing joyful hymns, and reflect on the birth of Jesus.

Beauty For the Heart™This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in clothes and lying in a manger. Luke 2:12

So God throws open the door of this world—and enters as a baby. As the most vulnerable imaginable.

Because He wants unimaginable intimacy with you. What religion ever had a god that wanted such intimacy with us that He came with such vulnerability to us?

What God ever came so tender we could touch Him? So fragile that we could break Him? So vulnerable that His bare, beating heart could be hurt? Only the One who loves you to death.

  1. Hi Cyndi,
I’ve been enjoying your posts so much. Love your style! Always spot on, but modest.
Wondering which size you purchased of the Kohl’s Plaid Sweater dress? . I can’t find a post of you actually in the dress. I would love to see you modeling this one as it helps me with the fit and sizing choice.

  2. Great post. My favorite would have to be cozy night and going to church. Friday evening I will be going to a girls night out event at a church. There’s arts and crafts shopping, dinner and a Christmas play. They do a great job on the plays. This year the play is It’s a Wonderful Life. The plays always teach the Gospel message. I don’t do skating unless I want a broken bone. 😊

  3. Me, my Daughter, Sister, Nieces & Mom have an annual Christmas baking day & we even have matching shirts that we wear! We also have a day that we each decorate a gingerbread house. This year we are going to decorate gingerbread ornaments.
Also there is a Pour Room where you make your own candles from picking out the scent and the container. They also have breakfast for the customers. You have to book in advance as they fill up quickly. These are some traditions that we do each year.

  4. Good morning! I’m looking for a good makeup bag for my daughter. She is in college and living in a dorm. Any good suggestions?? Thank you 🙂

  5. Fun post. I love all the ideas and would add driving around in the car with Christmas music on, looking at all the light decorations and another one is Christmas shopping with a speciality coffee in hand while doing so. Lol Although, with all the easy online shopping these days, the latter isn’t as appealing as it use to be. I do love a good bookstore this time of year. Have fun with the grandkids. Mine all get here Dec 15 th. I’m so excited.
