Spring Trend to Try: Cuffed Jeans

Cuffed jeans are becoming a popular denim trend in 2024. These jeans come in ankle or floor-skimming lengths and pair well now with winter boots or retro trainers in the spring. They also look great with ballet flats, kitten heels, loafers, and more, making them a versatile choice for any outfit.

Spring Trend to Try

If you want to rock the cuffed jeans trend and wear a pair of jeans you already own, you need to make sure you’re going for a big cuff. A good rule of thumb is to fold the cuff over once and aim for a length of around 3-6 inches. Although big cuffs look great on wide-leg jeans, they can also work on straight-leg jeans.

Who Can Cuff?

Anyone! Cuffed jeans are incredibly versatile and can be adapted to various body types and styles.

  • Petite frames: Opt for ankle-length cuffs with heels or platforms to elongate your legs.
  • Curvier figures: High-waisted, cuffed jeans create a flattering silhouette and balanced proportions.

  1. I feel that the wide cuff does make us petite ladies legs look shorter. I just can’t, don’t like them on me. They are cute on taller ladies.

  2. I haven’t purchased apair of the wide cuff jeans yet because I am only 5’4″ and think it may make my legs look to short and based on the feedback here it sounds like that is everyones opinion. I do like the straight leg jeans and have purchased a couple pair of those as well as the boot cut.

  3. LOVE THE CUFF look been wearing mine this way since the straight legs came back in !! I am just 5″3 and love the look!!

  4. I like cuffed jeans and have been doing this for awhile, because they show off your shoes/short boots. I prefer to cuff straight leg jeans, though. The cuffed wide leg jeans feel too cumbersome for me.

  5. I bought these same jeans when you styled them the first time, but so far they sit with the tags on them and I’m still deciding if they look okay on my height 5’3″. That probably answers my question, if they still haven’t been worn or I’m still deciding. I’m trying to make better choices. They look cute on you, but everything does. 🙂 So, I think I’ll return both sizes of these I bought and look for a more flattering style on me. Thanks for trying to update us all.

  6. A cuff shortens the leg no matter what shoe. As a petite short leg woman if I was to try this trend I would cuff a jean if there wasn’t a big contrast in color of the cuff and jean. For example I wouldn’t cuff a dark rinse jean because there’s a high contrast. A light wash jean would be better. I’ve been following Petite Dressing for years because she gives best advice on how to look taller. She’s petite with short legs like me. The jeans look cute on you.

  7. This trend is not for this petite size girl. My goal is finding jeans that will make my legs look longer not shorter like these cuffed jeans do.

  8. I bought mine in the fall last year when they first appeared in Old Navy in the boyfriend style. I had to order online but tried them on in the store to know what size to order. I have loved them. I have my jeans held on skirt type hangers with boyfriend first, girlfriend second, cropped flares, then bootcut and flares full length, then straight. Flares in full length are my go to with 3 inch boots and if I get tired by end of day slip on 2 inch or cute black sparkly tennis shoes that are a dupe from Target. Boyfriend are favorites too when doing a casual day of wearing a super cute top. Flares I wear fitted tops most of the time.

  9. I feel like the cuff pants make you look short. The belt cuts you in half also making you look short. I know these are trendy pieces. Placing your foot up off the ground really doesn’t give you height and normally us girls wouldn’t stand that way. I’m just saying this look would not be for me. I do like the colors for spring very pretty.

    1. Just a suggestion: Try a fitted top and match the belt to your jeans with a heel that gives good height. Have fun with it!

  10. Good morning beautiful soul Cyndi!!
    You rock the cuff look😍
But then you can rock anything 😉
I myself like the cuff look . Have a Blessed day!!
