Hershey Cookies

Floral Stripe Apron | Polo Sweater

I start by mixing the butter and the sugar together with my KitchenAid Mixer.

Next, I add one egg and a teaspoon of vanilla.

I fold the flour and baking soda into the cream mixture.

This is the fun part! I break up the 6 Hershey Bars and fold them into the dough.

I use my cookie scoop to spoon dough on my cookie sheets. Then I put them in the oven and bake for 8 minutes. The key is not to overbake them!

Serve the cookies warm with a glass of milk. Delicious!

Hershey Cookies

½ cup butter softened
1 ¼ cup all-purpose flour
¼ teaspoon baking soda
½ cups packed brown sugar
¼ cup sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
6 Hershey Bars broken into small pieces

Mix dry ingredients and set aside.
Blend butter and sugars. Add egg and vanilla, and blend.
Slowly add dry ingredients and blend.
Add Hershey Bars and mix by hand.

Bake 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. (I usually only bake them for 8 minutes.)

Beauty For the  Heart®Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Hebrews 12:1

Truth: In this verse, the author of Hebrews encourages us to persevere in our faith and compares the Christian journey to a race. The “great cloud of witnesses” refers to those who have gone before us.

The verse emphasizes the need to let go of anything that hinders spiritual growth and the sin that easily entangles us. This can include worldly distractions, unhealthy habits, or attitudes that hinder our relationship with God.

Ultimately, Hebrews 12:1 encourages us to stay focused, persevere, and run the race of faith with endurance, looking to the examples of those who have gone before us as a source of inspiration and encouragement.

  1. Hi Cyndi,
I love all of your posts. I love your style and the Beauty for the Heart section. I have followed you for many years now. Have you done something different with your emails? Just recently when I get an email, I cannot see the images and at times cannot get to the links. Also, I cannot enter the giveaway. When I click on the link it takes me to a picture of you in a dress walking on the beach with the heading- Giveaway. On this page there is nothing else to click except for a pin tab. Don’t know if it is my computer, or something has changed. Thank you for any help you can give me.

  2. Yes I will be trying this cookie recipe! We always love a dessert after dinner. Looking forward to the 333 post as it will be very helpful when going on vacation!

  4. Getting the tax information together is one of the things on my list at the start of every new year! Now I just need to drop it off to our accountant 😉! That cookie recipe looks yummy. I’ll definitely be trying it! My 2 1/2 year old granddaughter loves to bake when she comes to Nana’s house! Her little sister will be helping soon too!
