Hot Pink Top with Black Shorts

Welcome back to 21 Days of Summer Fashion! Today I’m bringing out the color with this hot pink top, and I styled it with black shorts.

If you’re looking for a summer top with sleeves, this one from the Gibson x Hi Sugarplum line is cute and comfortable. It comes in several colors, including a black and white stripe.

Hot Pink Top with Black ShortsTurquoise and hot pink compliment each other so I added some turquoise earrings from Accessory Concierge.

Hot Pink Top with Black ShortsMy Tory Burch sandals were one of the shoes I thought I had lost during our move. I was panicking a little bit! These sandals are an investment because they are pricey. They are a classic sandal that you can wear year after year.

Hot Pink Top with Black ShortsThese Caslon utility shorts have flap pockets in the back. They’re a 5-inch inseam short with a relaxed fit.

Hot Pink Top with Black ShortsI have said I like to keep my jewelry simple in the summer and this bracelet set from Baublebar is the perfect summer accessory. I love the reminder to seize the day (Carpe Diem).

Hot Pink Top with Black ShortsHave you tried any of the Gibson x Hi Sugarplum line clothing from Nordstrom?

I’m so honored that you have taken time out of your day to stop by my blog. I’m also on FacebookPinterest, and my favorite one, Instagram.

Beauty For the Heart~~As women we are very hard on ourselves. We look at other women and wish we looked like them, or we wish we had their personality, etc.

If we sat down and had a face to face talk, I could tell you all my flaws and believe me there are a lot! But I don’t think God wants us to focus on the negative. He created each of us unique, and we are beautiful in His sight.

Song of Solomon 4:7 reminds us, You are altogether beautiful, my love; there is no flaw in you.

Let your beauty shine today!

  1. Always love your blog Cyndi and super cute outfit as always! I would be interested in hearing more about dermaplaning or have you blogged about it before I could read? Blessings!

    1. I haven’t blogged about it but I need to. I think I’ll try to do that in July. It’s one of my favorite treatments for my face. They use a blade and remove any hair and dead skin cells. I have it done once a month and it cost around $35.
      Blessings,
      Cyndi

  2. Oh My Gosh!!! I love everything about your outfit!!! I promised myself I was not going to buy anymore summer clothes, but that shirt is sooooo cute!

  3. Loved this post!!
On another note…font is still pretty small and links are still super light…in my opinion!

    1. Hi Lorelei, Thank so much! Have you cleared your cache? The font should be darker and the links should be underlined and darker.

  4. Oh we will never be happy and enjoy life if we spend time comparing and wanting what others have. We are all so blessed in our own individual ways. ( and life is too short to always be striving for perfection) that day will come in heaven only…. From your comments I will admit I am like you and my sister like your sister. I have run out a few times unprepared and ALWAYS run into someone I know LOL… So now I know better… again that’s just me:) I’ve heard someone say before if your on vacation don’t worry so much about what you look like as you will never see those people again… Funny and yet true. But we still seem to want to look our best. I heard a lady at bible study one time share that she got up in the morning before her husband to get done up before he was awake and up. I will never do that lol but thought how different even that idea was. Your outfit is super cute and I am enjoying and embracing wearing shorts again. Love the T- shirt. I have never ordered that line but I’m getting very interested as I’ve seen those pieces styled by you and Living in Yellow. Have a great day… and thanks for the BFTH

  5. this was so interesting. I must say that having the only hurried trips to a store or a necessary component and those were the times too many people from work and or church wee also there. so i realized why i had never seen my own mother without hair and makeup properly done. not sure ho
    w she managed .
i ckd with your blogger and hope she will accept my sign up

    thanks

  6. I totally agree with Sharon B. I have to get up and get everything perfect 5 days a week. On the weekends I am a little more at ease around the house. I am totally ok with going out and watering my flowers in my robe with hair in a ponytail. But if I am going out even to Target I have makeup on. it isn’t as much as during the week but it is still there. My sister is more like you. Always put together and beautiful. Love your blog. Thanks Cyndi

  7. I totally laughed out loud reading your email! I’ll admit that I’m likely more like Traci than you…If I’m in the middle of a project I will go to Lowe’s just like I am, paint covered, sweaty, dirty – I don’t care at all – I probably should. I have to “put on the face” and the clothes 6 days a week and the one day I don’t is almost a celebration day for me. It’s work doing the face, the hair, the clothes – whew! I’m exhausted just thinking about it. This past Saturday we had a community garage sale, afterward my daughter and I went “Target and TJ Maxx hopping” as we called it. I did change my shirt, but put on a hat and called it a day. We had a blast!

  8. Love your comment
“I don’t leave the house (99% of the time) without makeup and never with paint all over my clothes. ” It made me think about something that happen with my sister last week, she is the same way your sister is, she will go out with a house dress on and hair uncombed, me I have to put on something nice and do my hair and makeup, last week we was going somewhere and I was down at her house I told her before we left I had to go to the house and put my make up on and change clothes cause we had been painting and I had on my paint clothes, She threw a empty water bottle at me jokingly and told me to hurry up. Oh well that’s me even if its just foundation , mascara, and lip gloss oh by the way I took a quick shower and changed and put my makeup on. 🙂

  9. Your words today were just what I needed to hear! Comparison is the thief of joy, a reminder I needed today. Have a blessed day Cyndi! 😊

  10. I am a private person, too. I always have hair/makeup done, even if it’s just for me. This made me think of that video that you and Tracy did awhile back showcasing your differences–it was hilarious and I loved it!

  11. Yep! I’m more like you,Cyndi! However, I will admit to having gone thru the Starbucks drive-thru in my pajamas. ☺️

  12. I love what you said in your email, Cyndi. We are all so different, and it’d be boring to be all the same. Kinda like the stepford wives—creepy!! But I do try to get out of my box occasionally…LOL
Isn’t Paula the best?? She’s part of our Ageless Style group, and I love that she’s not only beautiful on the outside, but has a heart of gold too!!
    XOXO

  13. I totally see that you are a private person but that’s ok. I’m more like your sister. Maybe too lax.

  14. You comments about how different people are cracked me up today! I am more like you. We had this very conversation at our lunch table a work a few weeks ago. I was the only one that as soon as I get up in the morning I shower and get ready even if I don’t have anything to do. I’m 47…I’m not changing now! LOL! 🙂
