Navy Blazer/Casual Friday Fashion

It’s Friday! I’m glad so many of you liked yesterday’s post on What to Pack for a Weekend Getaway. I struggle when it comes to packing so this will be a good reference for me too!

Today, I’m sharing a navy blazer that’s perfect for casual Friday wear. This navy blazer has 3/4 sleeve length with a striped cuff. It’s made of a soft knit fabric, and it’s on sale. It comes in three colors.

Because our weather is cold, I added a plaid scarf.

This navy blazer can be worn all year long, and you can style it differently for each season.

I’ve been wearing my riding boots a lot since the weather has turned cold.

Sole Society has 30% off their tall boots. Sizes are going quick!

Thank you for taking time out of your day to stop by my blog. I’m also on FacebookPinterest, and, Instagram.

Beauty For The Heart~~I have shared this before, but I think it’s worth sharing again as many of us our right in the middle of winter.

I’m not a huge fan of winter. Cold, dreary days get old quick. But this quote from Richard Foster reminds me that winter can be a season of growing.

“Winter preserves and strengthens a tree. Rather than expending its strength on the exterior surface, its sap is forced deeper and deeper into its interior depth. In winter, a tougher, more resilient life is firmly established. Winter is necessary for the tree to survive and flourish.”

Although I don’t love winter, I think I need winter. It’s a perfect time for me to dig deep into scripture and allow my faith to grow.

Colossians 2:7 says, Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.

Winter prepares me for the year ahead!

Have a blessed day!

  1. Hi Cyndi! Every time you wear those coach riding boots I LOVE them! I ordered a pair through your link to Amazon. They just came yesterday. I am disappointed. I could barely get them zipped over my calf. I don’t have large calfs. I’ve never had to wear extended or wide calf in any other boot. Do you have the regular shaft or extended? I would welcome your thoughts. Thanks in advance! Melinda

  2. Good Morning, Cyndi!

I LOVE this outfit…ordered the jacket and the plaid scarf—got it for $7 👏🏻👊🏻 Loooovvveeee plaid!

Enjoy your day…we already have 2 inches of snow and still coming down!❄️⛄️❄️

    Blessings,
    Kathy

  3. Thank you for today’s outfit, great for Friday’s
and weekends also your BFTH today speaks to me,
I feel as though the winter is needed to fix your soul!
Have a blessed evening and weekend!!

  4. I noticed you never button your blazers. When you purchase them do you do it with the intention of buttoning? Since I’m larger in the bust area if I like a blazer I buy it regardless of buttoning, since most of the time I leave it open. Oh and I love all the outfits, being retired and over 60 I’m more casual these days.

  5. What a Beautiful BFTH. I sure needed that. I live in NW Oregon and its been pretty dreary here lately. I heard you are going to get Winter. I think I’d welcome a pretty snow about now. Brightens things up. Love your scarf you are styling today. I love scarves and glad you are still styling them. I don’t see as many people wearing them like they use to and they are such a good accessory and keeps me so much warmer. Have a great weekend.

  6. Love all of these ideas!i posted the verse on my Instagram. My son Zac said, that happens to be exactly what he is teaching on in his bible study. 😊♥️

  7. OK TOTALLY NOT RELATED TO THIS SPECIFIC POST BUT I HAVE A HAIR QUESTION… I AM TRYING “STRESS TRYING” TO GROW OUT MY BIG BOB CLOSE TO WHAT YOU USE TO WEAR…SERIOUSLY HOW DID YOU ADJUST TO THE MORE FLAT LONGER LOOK WITHOUT FEELING LIKE IT BOGS YOU DOWN OF FRUMPS YOUR FACE?? IM AN 80’S GIRL LIVING IN THE SOUTH SO BIG HAIR IS ACCEPTABLE..LOL…BUT I WANT A NEW LOOK AND HAVE LOVED WATCHING YOURS CHANGE ANY HELP???? and as for thoday LOVE the BFTH as usual!

    1. Good question!! I LOVe you hair style Cyndi!! I would like to know how your hair is cut, especially your bangs. How do you keep them from falling in your eyes and/or from pushing them back I tend to want to tuck mine behind my ear. Maybe I need them shorter? A video would be GREAT on this topic!!

      Love and hugs,
      Dorian

  8. This blazer looks way better on you, and the color is a lot nicer than on the Nordstrom site. I think blazers are always a good investment, as you can wear them as a light jacket in the spring and fall.

  9. Cyndi, I have the same Coach boots and LOVE them. How do you keep them looking good? Do you use a specific shoe polish that you use?

  10. Hey Cyndy,

Love the outfit today and I really liked your ideas about packing. I never know either and pack way too much, but thanks for the tips.

God Bless and have a great weekend.

  11. Cyndi, I REALLY like this outfit, and I like that the blazer can be worn year round. I need more pieces in my closet to be that way since we don’t have really cold weather. Thank you for sharing how you will care for the blazer because I was going to ask you about that. When it says to hand wash something, I get turned off. I added the blazer to my wish list for now. I’d love to find a pair of riding boots with arch support. Stay safe this weekend! God bless!

  12. Where did you find the navy jacket and also the scarf love you scriptures every day and love your blog just found you can’t wait for your spring collection

  13. Nice color combo that I would not have necessarily thought of for winter. I’m loving all these scarves:) Have a great weekend… Boy the weeks just fly by. I never looked at winter that way either in your BFTH thanks for sharing. Hope your bible study is going well.
