Most Popular Items-10/6-10/11 and Microneedling

Hey there! I hope your weekend is off to a great start. Yesterday I had an appointment at Prive Med Spa here in Lexington for Microneedling (I share all this on Instastories if you want to follow along, go HERE).

If you’re not familiar with Microneedling, it’s a procedure that uses small needles to prick the skin. The purpose of treatment is to generate new collagen and skin tissue for smoother, firmer, more toned skin.

I’ve seen bloggers post the procedure on their Instastories while they’re having the procedure done, so I thought easy breezy. Well, I’m glad the procedure didn’t last long because I thought it was a little uncomfortable.

Afterward, I looked like I had a sunburn, but it didn’t hurt. You can’t wear makeup for the rest of the day, so thankfully, we didn’t have any plans last night. This morning it’s looking better, and I can wear makeup.

Lucky me, I get to do it two more times! I prepaid for the procedure last year during an open house when it was discounted. So since I’ve paid for it, I’m going to do it. Have any of you had Microneedling?

Let’s move on to the Most Popular Items of the Week!

First up is this crew neck sweater from Old Navy. It comes in a ton of colors, and it’s on sale for $20! This sweater is super soft and not itchy at all.

I shared this t-shirt a few weeks ago, but it is still in the top five this week. I love the details, and it comes in several colors, and it’s on sale for $15.

Target Shirt (I’m wearing an XS)/Frayed Hem Jeans (I’m wearing a size 28)//Steve Madden Leopard Flats (size up 1/2 size)

These Good American camo jeans are on the higher end, but they fit like a glove. They’re so comfortable, I will probably wear these on my flight to Texas this week.

Lastly, this plaid shirt from LOFT was #5 on the most popular items. This is such a cute plaid shirt, and it’s almost sold out. I think this shirt would be fun to wear to the pumpkin patch.

  1. Oh my…so glad I discovered you!! Where have I been?!? Your outfits are adorable and REAL!!! I’ve already been shopping from your blog.

    Keep up the good work.

  2. Hi, I may have misunderstood, I thought you were posting your microneedling experience? I only saw a video of the spa itself.

  3. I volunteered to be part of a research study so I had four microneedling procedures for free! It was VERY uncomfortable but I wouldn’t say it was painful. I was sore and read afterwards like a bad sunburn but after maybe a week I looked normal again. After the study was finished I did see a slight reduction in my fine lines and wrinkles so that was one positive. I don’t know that I would pay the full price though to have the procedure. I didn’t really see extreme positive results to make up for the discomfort that I went through but glad that I got the opportunity to do it! 🙂

  4. I have not tried microneedling in a spa, but I did buy an inexpensive derma roller (microneedler) on Amazon to try at home. I have used it once, way too early to tell how/whether it will work. I am especially targeting the smoker’s lines (though I’ve never smoked) around my mouth and some forehead lines.

  5. I have had microneedling with PRP, also known as the vampire facial, 3 times. I have 1 more to do. I didn’t find it extremely uncomfortable as I had a lot of numbing cream on. I have had great results. I do look like I have a sunburn for a couple of days, but the worst part is you can see the little holes for about of week, so I have to cake on the make-up.

  6. Cyndi, enjoy your blog so much & like the fact you choose less expensive items. Enjoy your grand babies. They’re precious!

To Lin: what is the name of the face cream you talked about. Would love to try it.

  7. I’ve had 6 Microneedling over 2 years and it’s extremely painful! The forehead is the worst!! I am so sunburned afterwards that they tell me to put burn ointment on it on my face! After the last one, I decided the pain and the sunburn wasn’t worth it anymore. I’m glad you had a better experience!

  8. I can see why these would be favorites. I love the plaid tunic blouse outfit. Sounds like the Microneedling is painful. What results will you see after all your treatments? Have fun with your grandkids.
    Blessings
    Karen

  9. I have a pair of camo pants I’ve had for some time now but I just didn’t know what to wear with them. Apparently anything goes with them, well maybe anything, I love pink and I would have never put pink with camo but I love the look. I’ll be digging them my camo pants out and tomorrow I’m wearing them out later in the day.

  10. I love your daily e-mails and the great clothing suggestions! Thank you, e-mail friend for brightening my day and deepening my walk with the Lord!!

    1. Microneedling sounds like a nightmare! I use a 100% natural, organic face cream day and night with hyaluronic acid, and it works wonders for your ageing skin, no needles required! I am 49 years old, and people that hear my age are shocked and think I am in my early 30’s. Try this First Ladies for a dew months before going through all that pain.

  11. Another blogger went for Microneedling and left. She said it was more than she could stand. My take away from you is that it was painful. I guess the final results are what we are interested in.
So nice to get Colt & Claire to yourselves. Lots of snuggle time!
