3 Ways To Wear The Little Black Dress

Well, here we go! The Christmas season is in full swing! Today I’m sharing 3 Ways to Wear the Little Black Dress.

I always have several places to go during the Christmas season that I can wear my black dress. I try to mix and match things I have in my closet to get the most wear out of the dress.

Pair a black dress with a statement necklace. This blue necklace came from Francesca’s. I’m wearing black tights with black heels.

Add silver or gold to a black dress and you’ll look festive for the Christmas season. I added a silver shrug with big earrings and ring. I’m also wearing black tights with black wedge boots from TJ Maxx.

My favorite thing to pair with a black dress, is a red scarf. Red is the perfect color for the Christmas season.

Do you have a black dress? Do you try to mix and match things from your closet?

Beauty For the Heart~~We sang this song at church last night and I was reminded again that this is not my home. In John 14:3 Jesus says, “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.”

Have a blessed day!

Love your little black dress and the three ways you trim your up!!
Yes, I do wear a little black dress. In fact, I have three of them. The sleeveless one I mix and match different shrugs with as in your second pic. With another one I also use a scarf…and I love pairing red with black. A red shrug is nice with the sleeveless. and another way I wear my little black dress is with a cardigan or belt(red) to match red pumps!

I really love your blog, I’m over 40 and find some good suggestion from you especially taking care of myself and how dress by my age. Thanks for always sharing your idea emotionally, spiritually and physically. It’s all in 1.

I really, REALLY like your black dress! I have been looking for one classically styled black dress that I can wear year round and change it up with accessories. The dress you have is what I’m looking for! The red scarf is so beautiful (just like you), particularly for this time of year. I DO however, really like the blue necklace, gold bracelet and gold earrings accessories; they look gorgeous with the black. When I finally find the dress, you’ve given me some great ideas for how to ‘dress’ it. Be blessed Cyndi!

Hi Cyndi, I love all the ways you’ve changed up a basic wardrobe staple. I also have a red scarf that I pair with my black dress, but I’ve not worn black tights with heels before. I love that look! I think this Sunday will be a good time to try that one. ;o) Thanks for fresh ideas, as I seem to be pretty stagnant with my wardrobe right now.

First the green blouse, now the necklace…the jury is in and jewel tones win. You look smashing in them…they completely uplift your complexion, not that the others don’t look great as well.
I actually have more than one black dress both short and longer, Summer and Winter. I wear them all different ways, but not really with boots. I’ll have to try that.

Kim I have had it for a while. It’s Nine West and I got it at TJ Maxx. That’s where I would look first. Lots of times they have designer dresses, cheaper.
    Thanks for stopping by!

Some things in fashion never change and the little black dress is one of them. I love yours and the different ways you styled it. I love the red scarf! Right now I am loving a simple black t-shirt dress or jumper for a casual and very versatile look. Tuesday & Wednesday on my blog I will be showcasing them…
