One Pant Styled Three Ways

One Pant Styled Three Ways
Happy Hump Day! A few weeks ago I purchased these skinny ankle pants from LOFT. I love the color, plum preserve, and I knew I could style them several different ways. This style pant also comes in Navy.

One of  the things you all ask me to style is work wear clothes. LOFT has a great selection of work wear clothes that can be mixed and matched.

Here is One Pant Styled Three Ways.

I love plum and navy together so I added a printed navy blouse.

Next, I styled it with a plaid infinity scarf. This is a great early fall outfit. The scarf is lightweight and I’ll be wearing it a lot this fall!

Lastly, I added this pale pink swing back sweater that I styled with jeans a few weeks ago.

I love that I get so many outfits out of one pair of pants. I thought I might try to style one pant, different ways during my 26 Days of Fall Fashion.

Would that be something you would want to see?

Beauty For the Heart~~September is when we start our small group Bible studies at church. This semester, I’ll be facilitating a Bible study and I can’t wait to get started!

There is no better way to know Jesus than to study His word. Scripture says, For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires. Hebrews 4:12

Ladies if we are going to look and act more like Christ, we need to be in His word. Let me encourage, if you’re not in a Bible study group, find one and I know you’ll be blessed!

(You know how the older you get, the more you start to sound like your Mother? I feel like that sounded just like my Mom! She was always encouraging women to be in the word. 🙂 Boy do I miss her!!)

Have a blessed day!

  1. These pants have me thinking ….Game Day! Huge FSU fan down here in FL, but we certainly don’t get those cool temps until November, and then only IF we are lucky! Love how you styled them. I wear uniforms for work at an orthodontist’s office, so i don’t get to wear cute clothes often…. ones appropriate for my age group without looking dowdy. We definitely not very formal down here in the land of perpetual flip-flops, but these looks are very do-able.

  2. I really enjoy one piece styled 3 ways….since I’m a BIG fan of shopping my closet it gives me more ideas

  3. I love his idea of showing different outfits with one item! Looking forward to your fall series! Do you buy most of your items online or in the store?

    1. I would say it’s 50/50, I still go to the stores and purchase clothes but I also buy a lot online. I prefer to shop online, it’s so much easier!!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

  4. I love the scarf (really, the whole outfit), but it’s a bit pricey for me… I’ll be watching for a sale! 🙂

  5. Cyndi, I really like you sharing different ways to wear the same pair of pants. I have some infinity scarves, but my neck gets so hot and sweaty every time I wear them. I do like the plum color, as well.

    Thank you!

  6. Hi Cynthia! I love the color and style of these pants. I bought a similar pair last year from LOFT but unfortunately ended up donating them at the end of the season due to the “stretch factor”. By the end of the day they grew an additional size and were not flattering. Did these hold up okay?

    1. I purchase a size smaller because of the stretch factor in all my LOFT pants. I typically wear a size 6 but these are a size 4.
      Hope that helps!

  7. Hi Cyndi!

I feel so blessed to have found your blog. I love these outfits! I can’t wait to see your 26 days of fall fashion.

  8. I love the pants! Still not a fan of the front tuck ( looks unfinished) or the scarf over a top, without a jacket (always seems too bulky to me). Love the outfit on the right (white top and necklace). Very cute! Come on fall!!

  9. Thank you for the work wear post today. I have been out of the work force for a few years until now! ? I start a new job tomorrow and in a different field than I was in, not only nervous of being the new girl and fitting in to this new role is the question for many is (what to wear). Love these combinations and exactly what I needed today. So thank you for your continued post and tips on how to put all together.

  10. I LOVE the color, very cute pants. I think the price is a bit high, but do love the color and will look for something in a similar color at a lower price. Thanks for the ideas of how to wear this color – love them 🙂

  11. Cyndi:

I’ve been following your blog for over a year now and LOVE your style and how you share your faith! I am 5’7.5″ and probably the majority of the pants in my closet have come from Loft. Sometimes, I order the tall and sometimes I order the regular in the pants. It’s funny because I was just contemplating purchasing those pants this morning (they are an additional $20 off today) but couldn’t decide between ordering regular or tall. Which did you order?

    Melissa

    1. This may not help but I’m 5’6″ and purchased the regular. 🙂 I’m not sure which one you should order but I’m leaning towards the tall.
      Blessings,
      Cyndi

  12. I really like the plum pants! I’ve wanted to add some colored pants/jean but I end up not getting them because I think I only have one top to wear with them. I need to be able to wear a clothing item lots of ways! I would love it if you did more of this type of post!! I also enjoy when you take 9 items and make 9 outfits or whatever. Sometimes I just need to make what I already have seem fresh and new by changing it up.

    Thanks!

  13. Cyndi, I have a personal question, but you are small so it shouldn’t be painful to answer. What size are you wearing in the plum pants? I’m about your size, but sometimes in “skinny pants” you might need to get 2 sizes larger. I like wiggle room 😉

  14. I like these pants! I typically shy away from anything other than black, navy, gray and an occasional muted plaid, BUT seeing how you put these together is inspiring. I may just have to go get-me-some! 🙂 Keep up the good work – and I love the idea of 1 pr pants 3 ways b/c as a working person I have to mix it up a lot with the same items. Question: do you find the Loft pants get baggy in the rear after wearing a couple of hours? I haven’t purchased any from them in a couple of years b/c I had a real problem with that. They would look good when I put them on and by the end of the way they looked really bad. I’ve found the ones from The Limited are made of a different material and they keep their shape much better.

  15. Cyndi: Thank you for the post. Plum is not a color I have in my wardrobe yet but would love to add it. On the pants, what size do you usually wear and what size works for those? I ordered some shorts from The Loft a few weeks ago and they seem to run larger than I expected. Thank you for all of your posts-love them!

  16. Love the plum pant’s I would have just worn white with them because I just never know how to mix and match. Then today I see the navy blouse and loved it. I am so happy you do your monthly fashion blogs.

  17. Love the plum colored pant!!! my favorite is the navy blue shirt with the pants!!! Looks great together.. I may have to hunt down those pants! 🙂

  18. Hi Cyndi, I ordered the 3-D lash kit. I hope I like it. I looked on your “makeup” heading. You always look so nice. Even though I am tall and can’t buy in the stores you shop at, I get ideas how to put clothes together. Thanks. Sherry

  19. Love that style. I love the wedge shoes but have seen before so guess they are not available. I have one pair of skinny jeans from old navy. They are really skinny below knee. Yours don’t look as tight. Maybe my calves are big from years of jogging. 🙁 love your blog.

  20. Cool Scarf, and sooo beautifully matched with the Plum pants!!
I learned how to buy the material and make them from a lady in Corbin, KY who sets up at the Local Farmer’s Market with a booth of nothing but hand-made beautiful scarves! I bought my first two scarves from her 2 years ago… and now make my own in colors to fit my wardrobe! I’m not real fond of scarves, but will wear them from time to time.

  21. Hi Cyndi,
Woot-Woot….. time to get out those Plum pants!! I have a pair of plum-maroon colored pants that I love to wear when Fall is near & here!! You look lovely in yours! My favorite is the middle and last outfits!! Especially the last one from head to foot!! WOrk wear or just going to town wear… these are my kind O styles!! 🙂

  22. This is the first time that I comment on your blog. I have been following you for quite of time and I really enjoy your blog. Really like these outfits today. Specially those boots, out of my budget but very cute. It will be nice to see other options where the price is more economical. Looking forward for your Fall Fashion.

    1. Hi Millie!
So nice to meet you. I style clothes from Nordstrom, LOFT, JC Penney, Macy’s, Old Navy, and Target, to name a few, so hopefully they hit everyone’s budget.
I purchased the boots during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale so they were cheaper when I purchased them.
      Blessings,
      Cyndi

  23. A great shade to add into your style and wonderful for Fall. I just bought my first pair of Loft pants in a red and white print and they are Fabulous, As a SAHM, I wear a lot of jeans and pants from Old Navy, and these are a nice change.
