Last Friday I mentioned oversleeping and I said I thought it was because of my new mattress. Well, my inbox got flooded with emails asking what type of mattress.
Who knew so many of you are shopping for a mattress. I think I have emailed most of you but in case I missed someone, we purchased a Tempurpedic Cloud Prima mattress.
Honestly, we didn’t research a lot but I wanted to try a Tempurpedic. We have to sleep on it for 30 days and if we don’t like it, we can take it back. Ummm, we love it and no one is going to take my mattress! Ha!
Another thing you all have asked it to see some of my recent decorating. Here is the deal. We did SOME redecorating but I’m not finished and it still looks a little bare.
But, as some of you know we have our house for sale. We have a contract on our house and we have a contract to buy another house. We’re not sure when we are moving. I think it will be a few months.
With that being said, I don’t want to do anything else to this house. I want to wait until we move. With some of our changes I would paint but why paint when I’m not going to be here. Make sense??
Okay, so take that into consideration when you see my pictures. I snapped a quick picture of my outfit before I headed out the door this morning. I wore this sweater here, it’s from LOFT, but it’s sold out.
I added a few new things to my coffee table. The tray was wood and I painted it white.
I added this chair and ottoman to my great room.
This is our kitchen, I recently added the tile backsplash.
I wish my fireplace had some more color but it’s hard when your TV is over your fireplace.
We purchased a different style of bedroom furniture (we had cherry furniture). I will paint the walls a different color in our new home.
This is our king bed with the Tempurpedic mattress. Again, I will add more pillows when we move.
So that is where we are right now. I need to wait to do anything else because of moving.

Hey Cyndi Girl, Love that sweater coat! I got one made similarly to that at Chico’s. It is a balck and tan houndstooth . Since the weather has been so mild this winter, I’ve worn that more often than I have my coat.

When the weather chills and we are spending more time indoors I start changing things in my house. Mostly I just move furniture into different rooms. I also sew new pillows and curtains. During this last storm I removed the doors from a piece of furniture and filled the shelves with baskets. I’d love to see your new house. You’re “old” house is beautifully decorated. I’m not sure I quite understand the TV over the fireplace placement. I see it all the time. Is it comfortable for viewing? You should continue to blog about decorating!!!

We LOVE our Tempurpedic! A word of wisdom: There is a tag attached to the mattress cover–leave it attached, or remove it & file with your sales receipt. It is absolutely necessary for a warranty replacement! They replaced ours (including the foundation) 6 years in due to a split in the mattress. As long as you have all the documentation and follow their instructions, replacement is a breeze. Enjoy!
Cyndi, it’s just beautiful. I love the blue you used. That mattress is a keeper we got one about two years ago. I love my bed. Your taste in fashion righ goes right into your house Very clean and classic. I went to. pier one imports and got just these cute little light I wrapped them around a lantern on each side. It was just the touch. You can wrap them on anything and they run by batteries. Check them out. Ps sorry about writing I am in predi. Chair getting toes done.

Oh yes, my DH had the family redo my room last spring and he bought us a new king size bed and tempurpedic mattress. Wish we had that when our children were little and co- sleeping. The best part is that he goes to bed much later than I do and I never feel him get in the bed!

I have a question about spring/summer if you know yet. Will gladiator sandals/heels still be in? I saw a pair in a boutique this weekend that were really cute and more “dainty” & dressier than some. My feet are small and narrow so I’ve had a hard time wearing them. I didn’t buy them because I was concerned it may be a trend on the way out. Just wanted to hear your thoughts.

I really like the cardigan sweater you have on! Yes, I too, would love to see pictures of your new home. Will you be downsizing? Our primary home is over 3,200 sq. ft. and our country home we will move into is a little over 1.0,200 sq. ft. So, when we make the move, we will definitely be having an estate sale. The country home is full of furniture now, but some of it came with the house. It’s going to be challenging and fun swapping out some furniture. That impending move is what has helped encourage me to start reducing the amount of clothes I have.
