Valentine’s Day Outfits

Valentine's day outfitToday I’m styling a couple of Valentine’s Day outfits. I’m going to be honest and say this is not one of my favorite holidays.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s cute and I certainly love my Valentine but if he only shows his love for me one time a year then he is in big trouble!

I would much rather Wayne surprise me (which he does) than show it on a day that someone has said he has to do something. Make sense?

What I’m saying is this, we are madly in love and we show it all year!

Anyway, I do think it’s fun to have something cute to wear, right? If you’re traditional, then you will want to wear red. This cute red tunic is perfect for Valentine’s Day.

red-tunic-2Both of the tops I’m sharing with you today are a contemporary fit which means they are cut a little smaller than the missy fit that I sometimes wear from Glamour Farms.

Bottom line: This one hugs me a little tighter! I don’t know how else to say that. 🙂

This tunic is also a contemporary fit. I think this tunic would look cute with white jeans and those gold flats I told you I wanted.

  1. I’m with you Cyndi, Valentine’s Day is an artificial holiday that puts pressure on everyone to “show how much you care.” My husband and I had one of our biggest fights ever on Valentine’s Day because we hadn’t planned a big event and yet felt that we should have (why? because some advertisement said we should??). We didn’t have dinner reservations, couldn’t find a good place to eat – because of course every place was packed – so we ended up at a lame Mexican restaurant feeling irritated that neither one had planned “something special.” We still laugh about it years later. From that point on we decided, we DON’T do Valentine’s Day.

  2. Cindy,
Previously I received your daily posts, but lately I have not. I would like to sign up to receive them again. Would you be so kind to give me instructions to find the location to sign up?

  3. You always look wonderful in everything you wear. I agree; we do not need a holiday like Valentines to tell people how we feel about them; we do it everyday. My hubby and I exchange cards and sometimes go to dinner, but we make a point of doing nice things for each other all year! As for the outfits; as I said you do look wonderful in everything; however, the tunics remind me of maternity tops. I feel frumpy in long flowy things. However, I have purchased several items from GF and very very happy with each of the items. Thank you for always helping me to look fabulous at 40+! God bless!

  4. Totally agree that greeting card companies and florists should not tell us when we should show our love!
    Love the outfits.

  5. Love both outfits, but the red is really so pretty and it looks wonderful on you! It looks like jean jackets are still in style this year?? I ‘found’ your website last year and I’ve been, slowly but surely, trying to update my wardrobe but I didn’t think jean jackets would still be ‘fashionable’ this year so I skipped it. I really like things that aren’t too trendy which really helps on my pocket book. Do you think jean jackets are still okay to wear and not dated? (This is probably a really dumb question since you are wearing one in your picture 🙂 Thanks for your help!!

  6. The contemporary fit is very slenderizing on you! You wear that red color beautifully. Love the outfits.

I have noticed on the many blogs I visit, that as soon as the video ads are added , the very things you are trying to show your audience (the pictures) are the last to load. The videos take priority and suck the speed right out of your site and often times cause my computer screen to show the “oh snap” page, There are many blogs, with multiple video ads, that load so slowly or continually crash, I just do not have the time to wait for pages to load. Hoping you get the problems solved!

  7. I love both outfits on you, but of course I LOVE RED!! We usually go to dinner the day before or after, and exchange cards. Nothing extravagant, I agree with one of my SIL…you love each other everyday, Valentines Day is just another marketing holiday for stores. Have a blessed day Cyndi

  8. Both outfits are cute! With the love tunic being my favorite. I agree with you on the gold pointy toe shoes!
We don’t do anything extravagant for VD. Normally, I cook dinner, bake a sweet treat, and we exchange cards.
Did you happen to see Fixer Upper last night? Max Lucado’s daughter was on. I thought it was special that he and his wife met with Chip and Joanna and wanted what he read at her wedding to be incorporated in their house.

    Blessings

  9. Everything about today’s outfits is perfect, especially the fit. I prefer you in something a little more fitted since you can wear it. My DH really gets on me about that since so many clothes are cut full these days; he’ likes modesty, but says I don’t need to be wearing a sack all the time. Who knew he even noticed. 🙂

  10. I’m like you Cyndi. I’d rather Mike bring me flowers just because on any other day than Valentine’s. I do get my kiddos a treat and I do send cards to friends and family just as a reminder that I’m thinking about them and love them. 😊 Red is such a great color on you! You look darling as always.

  11. Hi Cyndi!

I’ve never had any problem getting on your website until today. It took me 3 tries until it finally worked. At one point something popped up saying that you recently joined
Cloud Flare (or something like that)and that maybe I couldn’t connect was because it wasn’t fully activated yet. Just thought you might want to know. seems like it’s working okay now.

By the way, I love both your outfits today! You look great!
