Velvet Blazer Outfit-Winter Fashion

Welcome back to my 25 Days of Winter Fashion! It’s hard to believe it’s less than 3 weeks until Christmas day. Time is flying!

Today I’m styling a burgundy velvet blazer from Old Navy. I am loving the velvet trend this winter. I’ve styled a velvet skirt, velvet pants and today a velvet blazer. (The burgundy is not online, only the green and black blazer.)

I styled this tie neck blouse during my fall fashion series. It’s a great layering piece.

Beauty For the Heart~~There are tinsel and holly and songs to be sung. There are bright lights and candies and bells to be rung. There are shopping trips here and there and everywhere. And folks hiding things with no time to spare.

There are cards to write and visits from friends. And it seems cookie baking just never ends. But there’s one special time that I like the best.

What is it? I’ll tell you, if you haven’t yet guessed. When all are in bed, I tiptoe back down. And pretend that I’m standing there in Bethlehem town. I look at at the star in the creche and I think. I’m there with the shepherds quick as a wink. And I’m beside the manger of hay. The place where Christ Jesus, that sweet baby lay.

It’s a very special time just between God and me. And I thank Him that Christmas will always be! ~Anonymus

  1. OMGoodness! I love those shoes. I needed a pair, don’t wear heels that often but needed some dressy ones. Wow! Target? Thanks for doing the shopping .
I need to check out Old Navy more often. I only have a couple of items from there and I am always pulling out those two tops for what I do the most…play with grand babies!

  2. Love this outfit, its just elegant enough for a party, yet not fussy! Love your poem too! Have a marvelous day!

  3. Looking great as always Cyndi! I love tbe shoes and the velvet blazer! I like the look and feel of velvet. Unfortunately I read that Old Navy is on the list of boycotting using “Christmas” for advertising. Really enjoy your style! And loved the poem!

  4. I love burgundy. Beautiful. I’m enjoying the velvet jeans from Loft. Thank you for the the inspirational meditation.

  5. This outfit look great on you. I’ve been needing some new black pumps. Those look like an expensive shoe. I might just have to get 2 pair.
But most of all, I love the poem. What a wonderful picture, in my minds eye.

  6. Cyndi – Love the outfit! And you just reminded me that I have a velvet burgundy blazer in hanging my son’s closet (where I store my off-season clothes – ha!) Love the poem too! Enjoy your week!

  7. This would be something I’d totally wear to the office—it’s so sophisticated and beautiful, Cyndi!
I may have to check out Old Navy—they have the greatest deals and I don’t have any velvet in my closet (except for a choker necklace)!
And i love how that purse adds a touch of whimsey!

  8. This is such a classy and beautiful look! I like how the blouse is not tucked, but doesn’t hang below the jacket and just the front hem peeks out. The length of the jacket is so nice. That bag – oh my!! Too, too cute!

I enjoyed the poem about Christmas, so very true.

  9. Beautiful look! I’ve been looking at the velvet trend and thinking how perfect they are for the holidays. Plus, now they’re usually stretchy fabric so good for someone like me who needs a bit more room for the buttons to button! Love your pumps too though I cant do that height anymore.
