5 February Style Tips

Welcome February! It’s forty five days until spring so what do we do with the rest of winter? Here’s my February style tips to get us through the last full month of winter.

1. Think Color! We can easily get in a style rut by wearing only black and gray. But to help with those winter blues, add color.

Whether it’s a vivid color like royal blue….

A  pastel that will take you into spring…..

Or the Pantone color of the year for 2014, radiant orchid……

Color can help us get through winter! You can also add it with accessories like jewelry, scarves and shoes.

2. Grab some of those end of the season deals! There’s still time to get some great end of the season deals. Stock up on some sweaters, boots, scarves etc. for next fall/winter.

3. Pick a new shade of blush color. Sometimes a new blush color can make all the difference! Bobbi Brown has some great cream blushes that are perfect for women over 40.

4. Think Romance. You can’t get through February without thinking about Valentines Day. If your spouse is wandering what to get you, perfume is a great gift. Here’s my favorite perfume, Gucci Guilty.

5. Moisturize! Although warm weather is a distant memory. It will eventually get here and we’ll once again wear our summer clothes.

Make sure your skin looks its best by taking care of it during these cold winter months. I love a body butter and this one is good and it’s inexpensive.

These are my February style tips. I hope this is a warmer month than January!

What do you do to get through these winter months?

Beauty For the Heart~~This is a good time to re-evaluate any spiritual goals you set at the beginning of the year. If you’re trying to set aside time each day to read your bible, let me encourage you to continue on.

Psalm 119:105 says, Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.

Have a blessed day!

  1. I was given body butter as a thank you gift a few years back and I have been addicted ever since! Not only is it a wonderful treat to our skin that makes us feel pampered when we put it on, but it also makes a wonderful “just a little something” gift.

  2. Great tips Cyndi! I am feeling so guilty living in Southern Calif and we have had very little rain and unseasonably warm weather for the most part. We did get some rain yesterday and it was chilly for us today at 60 degrees. I empathize with those living in the cold weather states and how difficult it is. Your blog is a ray of light and your sunny personality encourages your readers always! God bless! Beth

  3. My dickensian life is over! They finally finished installing my boilers on Saturday. I cried when I felt the first heat all season. I really thought of all the people around the world who could never look forward to a warm house ever, and live like I did all the time. We take so much for granted. So, I say let it snow and bring on a polar vortex!!! I want to wear my beautiful Winter clothes! (It was too cold to access my winter closet!)

  4. Love the Psalm pick for today. I’ve either never heard it, or more likely didn’t pay attention. It’ s perfect for me today – thank you!

  5. LOVE that blue on you, it is very flattering. I too have to remember to add color to my wardrobe and brighten things up. It makes me feel better when I do.
I also love your Beauty for the Heart. It literally changed my life when I picked the same time each day to spend with the Lord.
    Love and Blessings,
    Kathy

  6. Hi Cyndi.

Great tips! I bought the Gucci Guilty a while back thinking who doesn’t love anything Gucci, but the scent wasn’t for me. I’m going to try another Gucci scent and see. I’ve always loved Dolce & Gabana Red.

Hope you have a great week.
    Gina

  7. I read your blog every day! I enjoy all your post, but love “Beauty For the Heart”! You encourage me daily.

    Thank you!
