Summer Fashion-Black & Khaki

Summer Fashion-Black & Khaki

It’s day 22 of 31 days of summer fashion. I’m heading out to get my hair cut and colored so it’s a perfect day for a hat.

If I’m going to be out in the sun all day, I like to wear a hat because it protects my hair and my face from the sun.

Do you wear hats? Have you tried a fedora hat?

***Thanks for all your sweet comments on my dress from yesterday’s post. Several of you mentioned trying a different pair of shoes. I’m going to try that and I’ll take a picture when I find something I like. Thanks!

  1. stopping by from wiww… love the black + tan combo.. classic and cute! and yes, i love a fedora… but sometimes i feel silly wearing them if im not at the beach.

  2. I looked at that exact hat for 3 days trying to decide if I wanted it to wear to a concert. Of course, once I committed to it, it was sold out. haha story of my life. It looks very nice on you.

  3. Did you see this comment because it was great!
Lillian- I would recommend starting with Pinterest. Start pinning different outfits that are to your liking. You’ll soon begin to see a pattern in some of the articles of clothing that you have pinned. Once you’ve pinned quite a few things you’ll start to remember things you’ve pinned. When you’re out & about you’ll be able to find different things here & there & your wardrobe will start coming together. This is what I’ve done. I shop at all kinds of shops. From the mall to Goodwill. Buy out of season as well! I find really cute clothes at Walmart on clearance. Like sundresses on clearance for $5. You can wear them with sandals in the summer or pair a sundress with riding boots & a denim jacket in the fall.
You can also print off store coupons from http://www.retailmenot.com.
I printed off a 15% off coupon for JC Penny last week. They took 15% off of each item I bought! I found Cyndi’s outfit with the coral sweater & flowered pants already on clearance plus they took an additional 15% off each item. They didn’t have the coral sweater in my size but they ordered it for me & are shipping it to the store for free. The sweater wasn’t on clearance on the web so I asked if I would get the clearance price since the same one in a different color at the store was. They gave me the clearance price with the additional 15% off.
    SCORE!
    Hope this helps!
    Blessings!

  4. I was in tears reading your post about the adoption!! I’m so excited for you. What a blessing your family will be to this sweet baby.
    Blessings,
    Cyndi

  5. That hat looks terrific on you! I also wear hats – mostly because the sun if you hard on hair color and also to protect my face from the harmful rays.
Khaki and black is one of my favorite combination.

  8. Cyndi, no I dont have a hat like that but now I want one ha. You can certainly wear one and look cute as can be! Love the outfit and jewelry too.
I agree that you should be a fashion model. 🙂

  9. You look adorable in a hat! I have yet to find one I love, other than a ball cap when necessary. LOL Love your cut. I go back and for…short, long, short again for the same reason as you. Right now, in-between.

  10. Hi Cyndi,

Love, love you outfits and fashion. Quick question, how does one get such fashion and look as wonderful as you look especially when on a strict budget. How can I get such awesome outfits and look as great as you do.

  11. Cyndi I just giggled when I saw you in your hat! I thought “is that Cyndi?!” Just haven’t seen you in a hat. In cognito–cute! You’re so creative. I like khaki and black and you’ve put together a cute one! I bought the Kimberly necklace and love it! Have fun at the salon!
