22 Days of Summer Fashion-Striped Clutch

It’s Monday and it’s Day 19 of my 22 days of summer fashion! Today it is all about the accessories. I have been wanting to carry my striped clutch from Stella & Dot and I thought it worked perfect with this outfit.

My pants are from Gap and I fell in love with the color.

coral and black-00I added a tassel necklace from Baublebar. (It’s on sale for $28 for a limited time.)

I had a pair of wedge heels on but my husband loves these tassel heels and thought they looked better. I typically don’t take fashion advice from him (wink) but I do like these tassel heels.

This outfit is perfect for the hot and humid weather we have been having lately.

Beauty For the Heart~~I have a tendency to be a worrier. When I feel myself start to worry over a situation, I turn to scripture.

Proverbs 3:5-6, Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

Whatever you are worried about today put your trust in Him.

Have a blessed day!

    1. Hi Denise,
Yes they do sit below by belly button and they are a skinny pant so I feel I need to wear a longer top with this pant.
      Blessings,
      Cyndi

    1. Cyndi, I figured out the problem. I mistyped my url. I was unaware when I chose my domain name that there would be a porno site only two letters off. I am soooooo sorry. Please delete if you can. – Amy

  1. This is an inappropriate website for this type of blog. Cyndi, please check it out, not sure if it can be removed by you or not.

  2. What a nice summer outfit. It looks practical for the heat but still stylish. The shirt looks like it would work for those of us who have a midlife middle to hide too! I have the same colored pants and I love wearing them just for the color spark.

  3. Love everything about this outfit! You are such an inspiration and my “goal”. To be positive, inspiring, fit and good hearted! Blessings to you!

  4. This outfit is so cute! Is the shirt black? The link to Loft is to navy and I’m never good telling the two apart. I have the coral pants you styled from Loft earlier this spring and thought this top would go well, but don’t know if I should get navy or black. Thanks!

  5. What a cute outfit. I love that clutch. I don’t have many and you have inspired me to add one or two to my stash of purses. You are quite the enabler..lol

  6. I love the whole outfit on you. God Bless you on your Mission trip. God will watch over you. All you need to take along.

  7. I think as long as you have your heart of love and a desire to serve, you don’t really “need” much else on a missions trip 🙂

  8. I hope that the one gal will send a list of what she has for her trips…I ALWAYS
PACK way too much…love your outfits even if I am 70 years. thanks for keeping
    us with your clothing outfits.

  9. For some reason this outfit really stands out to me!! Oh-so-cute! Love the color combination–and the striped clutch, how it picks up the black top and the taupe shoes. So nice!!

  10. Hi Cyndi, you always look SO cute! I am SO SO jealous of your shoes because I can’t really wear heels due to my height (5’9″). Tried wearing them to a graduation, my husband liked them, but the women in my family reminded me how ridiculous I look in heels – way too tall – “Gigantic!” – according to them – and I have no desire to look gigantic.

I’m also not sure how you’re wearing an 8 in GAP pants. I wear a size 8 in GAP pants – but you are SO much prettier and tinier than I am. In pictures I look like I weigh at least 275, although last I checked I was about 155. I’m not sure why I look so fat – I just do! :o) Anyhow, I can tell by your pics that you are way, way smaller than I am, so I’m thinking maybe you misread the size on this one. Of course, I am HUGE everywhere except where it counts – in the backside – and so that might be why my pants are smaller. I am actually put together kind of upside down. Whereas normal women (like my sisters) are smaller on top and bigger on the bottom, I’m built like a linebacker on top and I have no butt. So I love separates because I can never wear the same size top and bottom.

Anyhow, you look super cute as always! And I love your shoes – although I’m crazy jealous that I could never pull it off. Everyone in your comment section is so sweet and positive – I wish I had women in my life like you ladies!! :o)

  11. I bought a pair of pants this color (hesitantly!) last year, and I wear them all the time and have so much fun w them! I wore them for the first time, on a job interview, despite the advice of a friend, and I got the job! I now consider these my favorite pants!

  12. I have to admit, Wayne was totally spot on with these shoes—love them! And the clutch adds so much fun to the outfit!
As for packing light—everyone has their gifts, and that definitely is not one of mine. To me, that is the biggest disadvantage of travelling. Even though I know it’s not important to have everything with me, it’s still a bugger to decide!

  15. This is one of my FAVORITE verses. I love your outfit today. I ordered the clutch last week and received it on saturday. I am excited to begin using it,

  16. Thank you for the beautiful words of wisdom. I am a bigger worrier too.bless yiou. Y’all have a good safe trip.God bless.

  17. Hi,

Thank you for the verse and bit of encouragement about not worrying. I am a worrier but am SLOWLY learning!

Bless you on your trip to Cuba. I will keep you and your husband’s travels in my prayers. May you have good health and a refreshing, wonderful experience.
    Have fun packing! lol

  18. My verse for the year!! Proverbs 3:5-6.

And sometimes when I am worrying, I add Isaiah 55: 8-9
For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
I must remember He is smarter than I am and His ways are so much better than my “perfectly planned out” ways! Thank you for the encouragement!

  19. Hey Cyndi!
I feel your pain about packing!
I have been leading mission teams to East Africa for 10 years now and I am by all accounts a southern belle, girly-girl! I have learned to pack EVERYTHING I need for 3 weeks in my carry-on and my back-pack. ALL my checked luggage and the luggage of my team is devoted to items we need for ministry and items we donate.
Throughout the years, my teams have been blessed to carry more than 10,000 pounds of toiletries, baby supplies, clothes, school supplies, medical and dental supplies and even keyboards and sound equipment to donate.
I have learned TONS of tips! (My first trip, I packed like I was going on a cruise or something instead of a mission trip. lol)
I’d be happy to pass along what works for me to you and your followers. Just email me and let me know.
    Blessings!!
    Sherri

    1. Yes, please do if Cyndi says ok! Always need packing tips…especially with your comment that you can pack for 3 weeks in your carry on and your backpack….and you are a girly-girl too! Wow! Can’t wait to hear your tips!
