22 Days of Summer Fashion-Old Navy Shorts

Welcome back to 22 Days of Summer fashion! Today I’m styling a pair of Old Navy shorts. These are a great pair of casual shorts and they come in several colors.

The problem is we are coming up on the 4th of July and believe it or not summer clothes are selling out! I love the color of these shorts but the only size left online is a 0. Unbelievable!

Old Navy is having a 40% off everything under the sun online sale going on right now.

This top is perfect for a hot summer day. I added a white tank from JCPenney so that I didn’t have to wear a strapless bra. These tanks from JCPenney are thin enough to wear during the summer.

I was acting silly and taking a picture trying to look surprised. I’m not sure why??

This salmon color clutch was in my Stitch Fix box and I have added it to so many outfits. I carried it with this floral dress to a wedding on Saturday.

I think this gold tassel necklace is going to be my “go to” necklace and I love these Stella & Dot earrings.

Beauty For the Heart~~I read a devotion about how our appearances are transformed when we come to know Jesus in a personal way.

Our frown lines soften, we have a sparkle in our eyes. It’s amazing how we glow when we are covered from head to toe in God’s grace.

Liz Curtis Higgs says it this way, “A heart full of love produces a face full of joy.”

Let your beauty shine from the inside out today!

Have a blessed day!

  1. I am fascinated with the outfit. I love the salmon colored clutch. It works perfectly with the outfit. I also love your hair style. I have wavy hair but I’m thinking of trying this style. I am in a dilemma with my daughter getting married in August. Can’t wait to see what wardrobe you have for the fall.

  2. Very cute outfit. Love the colors you paired together with the khaki green shorts! Cute shoes and clutch too. I will have to go to the link and look for some of these shorts. Yes, I know Jesus, he is my savior and one day I look forward to seeing him in person! God Bless you, Cyndi!

  3. I absolutely LOVE these ON shorts!! I picked up a few pairs before Memorial Day when they had a great sale on them! I bought the 5″ length, I’m 5’2″ and they’re a great length for summer! I plan to go back for a pair or two of the 7″ lengths, there are times when I do prefer a longer length, like when I volunteer at my children’ schools or want to wear them with platform wedges.
The fit on these shorts is GREAT!
Prayers for your back, trip or no trip, we should always take care of our backs!
    Peace and Blessings!

  4. I had a chronic back issue for 11 years…herniated disc. Slept in a recliner for 2 years. Someone directed me to accupuncture. God send! Now I am basically pain free with no surgery or meds. Try icing first because if it is something simple like over or misuse then you don’t want accupuncture expense. It is also not a quick fix. Prayers going up for you!
    And as always….cute outfit😊

  5. I love this color combination. Looks very cute on you but the shorts are shorter than I can wear so will need to look for an alternative.

  6. Wah…. I can’t find the shorts in the color online, which means I’m making a trip to Old Navy over lunch tomorrow! I ordered the top. I also ordered a black top to go with the rosebud colored pants I ordered yesterday! That means I can return the $59 top I just bought from the Loft (tags still on; haven’t worn it). The Old Navy top was $8 something. For $50, I must return.

  7. Cute look that looks cuet on you! ICE your back. It’s a miracle. Do it know before these condition becomes chronic. Just use a frozen bag of peas. After you’re numb, you can gently stretch. Almost all back problems go away on their own, just try not to let it get chronic. Swimming was the one thing that cured mine, but ice helps for an occasional issue due to heavy lifting or gardening. I’d also suggest a couple of plain aspirin, but I don’t know your personal contraindications.

  8. SUCH a cute look, Cyndi! SO sorry about your back. “Heavenly Father, please watch over Cyndi as she prepares for her mission trip to Cuba & heal her back injury & let it be well for the trip. Thank you, Father, for your provision! Amen”

  9. Such a cute look for summer. I love everything about this outfit. I own a couple of trapeze style tops. What a great idea to wear a tank underneath! I don’t like wearing strapless bras, and sometimes the armholes are just a tad too big for my comfort level. So, adding a tank would be perfect.
You, and JoLynne have done such a wonderful job with your summer series.
I hope your back feels better soon.

  10. Hi Cyndi, I have been using the sunless tanner Beauty by Earth that you recommended and I’m loving the color. What I do find challenging is the tacky feeling I when I apply it. It never really seems to dry completely and I’m left feeling like I have sunless tanner on.

Have you found other products that you like that do better in this area and don’t leave you feeling sticky and tacky?

    Kim

  11. I love this outfit! What a fun summer outfit. I need to get some shorts that fit right. Thanks for styling this!

  12. Call me weird but these shorts are to short for me especially when you sit down. I love the old Navy Harper pant you styled in the Spring

  13. Very cute outfit. I’ve always loved the corals and oranges in the summer since they became a fashion item. You are very adorable in these Old Navy shorts too!! Yes, You have that God-look appearance all over your face… So glad to know another lady of the Lord! Have a blessed day!

  14. I love this look and these colors! I tried this top on, along with a bunch of other prints and colors in the same style, and it looked very maternity. Maybe I should’ve sized down because it doesn’t look like that at all on you. Love that clutch too, so cute!

  15. The link from the email did not seem to work, I went into FB and clicked on your link that way, and here I am.

    Cute outfit!

  16. I think Old Navy shorts are their best/reliable products…I bought six or seven pairs in colors and prints a few weeks ago (but chose the 7-inch length…better for my “slightly” more mature legs, lol). LOVE that trapeze shirt you styled with the Thyme color…have to admit: I bought that color short but was a little stymied on what to pair it with. Great choice as always!

    Comfy, generously sized

  17. Yay! I own this top, and I am so excited to see that I finally bought something stylish! I am so bad at shopping, styling,, etc. – this blog has been super helpful to me. At 40, I wanna look cute and in style, but I really don’t want to look like I’m trying too hard or trying to be 20. Thank you for all of your great tips!
