Welcome to 25 Days of Summer Fashion! Jo-Lynne and I are teaming up once again to share summer outfits with you specifically for women over 40.
We are beginning our summer series with a Lucky Brand outfit. I am styling a cold shoulder top with a pair of their Sasha jeans.
This is the first time I styled the Sasha jeans but I have to say I fell in love with them. The light color is perfect for summer and they have slight distressing and a frayed hem.
I think these sandals are incredibly comfortable, and I like the low wedge heel. I typically like to wear heels with my outfits but I don’t always like to wear a high heel. These are perfect for running errands!
This cold shoulder top is lightweight and perfect for hot summer days.
The top has cute details like back button closures.
Finally I added this adorable fringe pendant necklace. It’s right on trend for summer and I have already worn it several times! I’m also wearing the hammered drop earrings. If you want to add matching earrings, they do have fringe earrings that match the necklace.
This outfit is casual but stylish and I can mix and match the pieces with other pieces in my wardrobe. Lucky Brand has so many cute pieces in right now.

Cyndi , As always you look great in this outfit . I have already ordered the top and earrings . I just have a few questions, are you wearing a cami underneath the top or is it thick enough to not have to wear one and I have the Jaleela wedge so would they look good with this outfit also ? I loved being able to shop from the last picture , that was awesome and yes I did need to hear that verse today !!!

I’m not wearing a cami under the top. The top is not real thick but it’s not see through so no need for a cami. Also the Jaleela wedges would work great with this outfit!

I’ve never ordered from Lucky, how do their sizes work?
Are they Junior sizes?? I usually wear a Med Or Large in tops…
I don’t think they are junior sizes. I typically wear a small in a top and that’s what I wear with Lucky Brand so I would say they are true to size.

Cindi, I looked on the website at the top and it says the length is 24.5″ long but it looks much longer than that. I like my tops longer like 27 to 28″ to cover my bottom. Is the top just made differently? Thanks!

I’m not sure the length but it doesn’t cover my bottom. It’s not super short but not a tunic length. If that makes sense!

Did you have to size up on the jeans? The Details for these jeans say to size up 1-2 sizes. I usually have to go down one size for Lucky jeans.
I was wondering about the rise, too. Would you include information about how pants/jeans fit as far as rise, compared to others, etc.?
I did not size up but I have lost a few pounds with the faster way to fat loss program. They do run a little small so I might size up one size but not 2.

I just picked up a pair of light wash jeans like this a couple months ago, Cyndi!! I know all the “rules” say that older women should stick to dark wash jeans, but it’s nice to have some variety! Besides they are kinda like white jeans from a distance!!
