Tassel Cardigan + Step Hem Jeans

Happy Tuesday! Today I’m styling an open front fringe cardigan from Old Navy and some trendy step hem jeans. This season it’s all about the hem when it comes to your jeans.

The cardigan is lightweight and comes in gray and the tan color I’m wearing.

  1. I just found your fashion pics on Pinterest!!! !! Love your combinations with all your outfits. I want some stretch, skinny jeans in a dark blue with no holes. Any suggestions??

  2. I am currently taking the Adore your wardrobe class based on your and JoLynne’s recommendation. I am a short-waisted pear. Can you tell me what your body type is. I love your outfits and wonder is they fall into my body type category. Thanks

  3. I see that this shirt is dry clean only! ARe you really dry cleaning a 24 dollar Tahiti? HOping you don’t have too?….. Thanks! Susie

  4. Very cute. Went on line looks like they are out maybe I will try again. Very nice with the jeans and boots jewerly is beautiful. Thank you..

  5. I am late reading this today, but I love this outfit!! I just ordered the sweater from Old Navy. I have several long cardigans in this color, but the fringe really caught my eye.
You look soooo pretty in this outfit. I have a couple pairs of jeans with the split hem, and released hem, but I don’t have any with the step hem. They are really cute on you, and add interest to the outfit. You look beautiful as always.

    1. Love all your outfits Cyndi and your hairstyle. Could you send me some pictures of the back of it maybe? Is it layered or all one length ? You always look so sharp and so nicely put together!

  6. this look will be great in 5 years as well as now. !!

If Wayne is still your photographer, he is doing some pretty fine work.

  7. Happy Tuesday!

I’m loving this outfit! I’ve always been fond of long sweaters…..so cozy. Bring on the cool crisp weather please.

  8. Cute Cyndi. Love all these pieces together!!! I have to get the sweater. It looks like the perfect weight for So. CA. I especially love the Beauty for the Heart today.

  9. I love the raw hem and unfinished frayed hems. I’m having trouble getting on board with the step hems and the ones that look like a shark got a hold of them…LOL I saw that cardi and thought it was cute. Thanks for “taking one for the team” and trying all of these hems out. Happy Tuesday!

  10. Very cute and fun outfit. Is there anything you don’t look good in? I agree with a lady above……you should have been a model. You make everything look good. 🙂 Maybe you could model for LOFT in your next job? 🙂 I won’t be doing the step hem jeans. I just don’t care for them. I do like the frayed ones though. If the step hem goes out, then people could cut them off and roll them maybe so no lose.

  11. I think this look is so cute on you! I just ordered the sweater in grey- can’t wait. Thanks and hope you have a blessed day!

  12. Adorable outfit! I just tried to order the cardigan and it sold out as I hit the button! I’ll keep checking, gotta have it!

  13. I like them – but they probably wouldn’t work on casual Fridays at work though. I would wear the entire outfit on the weekends, and to church 🙂 – we keep it casual.
Yes, need to slow down, and breath deeply. Life is flying by

  14. Thanks for keeping me in the know because I’ve not seen step hem jeans until nowl! I think they’re fun when worn the way you have styled them with booties. I would give them a try. I’m not particularly fond of the way the other fashion models have styled them but you’re rocking ’em! You should have been a professional model Cyndi because everything you wear is so flattering on you! Blessings!

  15. I’m glad you are willing to try the various trends for us. This style of hemmed jeans is one that won’t be added to my closet. I like the rest of your outfit! Yes, we do need to slow down.

    God bless!

  16. Thanks for being versatile Cyndi:) you don’t know what you like until you try it. I do love my distressed jeans and just bought a pair that have the frayed hem love, love!! I have seen that cardigan in store but you make it look much better in quality… enjoyed your beauty of the heart. Agree we do need to slow down. Life’s too fast😉
    Have a great day:)

  17. OK I will be the one fuddy duddy in the group and say I don’t care for those jean hems and I don’t think they are flattering……but to each his own and I agree they would be away to step up an old pair of jeans as I don’t see them staying in style too long. Love the cardigan and the boots. I have an small older Coach bag that very same color….guess it true what they say, hold onto something and sooner or later it will come back into style! LOL

  18. These remind me on a pair of Chic jeans I had in 6th grade…hahaha!!! They look cute on you! Question about the shirt…is it thin? I don’t like when you can see your brassiere through the shirt. I teach high school and that can get you fired…hahaha!!!

  19. I like to try out new stuff always so thank you for posting these. You never know what something looks like until you try it on and different looks look different on different people. They are perfect on you and you look up to date, stylish, and fun. Some one that you would want to go have lunch with & chat. I love the bag and boots too!

  20. Love this look, precious on you!!! We need to pray for Hobby Lobby. Because they are a Christian store, they are getting hounded by people trying to close them. Now i see because they sell cotton on stems, as do many other home stores, they are being sued. We know Christianity is under attack, we just need to pray and stand up for CHRIST! Have a blessed day! Love your blog. 😚

  21. Amen! Love the beatitudes! Outfit. On. Point. I’m in my 30’s, and have always dressed very conservative, and feel worried about trying new things, but, hey, you make everything so fun and classy; I love it!

  22. You crack me up, Cyndi!! I’m an (ahem) older fashion blogger too, and it’s fun to try out the new styles I think. Sure, we may not like them all, but it’s only clothing, right?
I think the hem on the jeans lately is a fun detail!! The nice thing, is it could be DIY’ed!!
I love your saying today….it’s a good reminder that I need to slow down.
Sending you and your family many blessings today and always,

  23. Cute! I’ve been looking at similar jeans and just wondering how long they will be in style and if it’s worth the outlay. Though I do see they work well with booties and I don’t see those ever going out of style! The green bag adds so much to this outfit too!
