Vacation Style from Nordstrom

Hello Friday! Today I’m sharing some vacation style from Nordstrom. I have been packing for our Caribbean cruise, and I’ve ordered several items from Nordstrom.

I love that I can order and get free shipping and free shipping on my returns. Some of what I purchased didn’t work, but Nordstrom makes sending them back super easy.

Vacation Style from NordstromThis Leith dress is perfect for a vacation, it’s lightweight and takes up very little space in your suitcase. It doesn’t wrinkle, and it’s comfortable to wear all day long. I’m 5’6″ so it’s a bit short on me, but this will work great for my petite ladies.

I would not wear this dress to church but if I were 5’4″ or under, I would wear it to church with a denim jacket. It would be cute styled with wedges and add a long necklace.

Vacation Style from NordstromA hat is a must for me on vacation because it protects my hair and my face from the damaging sun.

Vacation Style from NordstromThese Tory Burch sandals are more of an investment shoe; you can wear year after year. I don’t typically keep my shoe boxes and store my shoes in them, but I did keep the box for these.

Vacation Style from NordstromYou can style this dress so many ways, for fun, I added a bright pair of earrings.

Vacation Style from Nordstrom Nordstrom is the go-to destination to shop for all occasions. Nordstrom has the latest trends, best brands, and products you cant get anywhere else. I love their Wear to Where page with ideas for work, vacation, weekend, workout and more.

  1. LoL I love your vacation clothes! And such a coincidence, I started ordering vacation clothing a few weeks ago and my 2nd item that I ordered was a Fedora hat just like this. Then I ordered a dress and several tops and bottoms and a couple sandals etc… My clothing theme is navy and Nautical. I’m heading to the beach with my sister’s and daughters only!!

  2. Oh yes, please, tips on how to wear a hat would be fantastic. I love the look, but don’t know how to pull it out. Love this look for a beach day, too!

  3. Oh Cyndi what you won’t do for us lol… you look great:) I bet you’ll appreciate that outfit more on your cruise. I know what you mean about black dresses it’s a weakness😉. I plan to visit an assessory store in Florida that carries pretty much everything and look for a straw clutch. I hope you and Wayne have a fabulous trip. Look forward to your pics when you return.
    Happy cruising

  4. Darling, Cyndi! I especially like your hat. I always have such trouble with hats. I buy them with good intentions, but end up not wearing them because I don’t exactly know what to do with my hair. Maybe you could do a post sometime showing us what you do with yours when you’re wearing a hat and what others should do with different hairstyles. It’s such a conundrum to me!

I really hope you have a lovely, WARM time on your cruise!

By the way, I opened the doors to my own new style blog today!!! Wowza! This is a big step for me. I’ve scoured yours, and Jo-Lynne’s and others’ blogs constantly the last few weeks as I’ve set mine up. I’ve done so much research and prep work. Now it’s time to get the show out there!! So I hope you’ll stop by some time and take a look. You’ve been such an inspiration to me!! Oh, the address is http://www.dressedformyday.com 🙂

  5. Such a cute look. Have fun on your trip. Bet it feels funny to model for those pictures out around people in the cold wearing summer clothes. 🙂 LOL

  6. When you’re wearing a cute hat like that, what do with your hair underneath? Are you pulling it back in a barrette or something? I have curly hair and so it gets all messed up under hats. But I love the look of them.

  7. Love this look, so classy and fun. I would like to purchase the dress in black, but when I went out to the Nordstrom site it does not come in black. Wondering if you purchased this some time ago? I like the fact that this dress does not wrinkle, which makes a perfect travel item.

    Have a great trip.

  8. I rarely have that trouble with dresses being too short…LOL!! But my mom has one that she actually layers a skirt under it, so it just shows a little longer….isn’t that so smart? That’s why I include her on the blog—she’s got so many fabulous ideas..ha ha (well, and also because she’s my mom…she’d be upset if I didn’t include her)
    Have a wonderful weekend, Cyndi!!
