My Latest Stitch Fix-July 2018

Happy Tuesday! I recently received my monthly Stitch Fix box, and I’m sharing all the items with you today. Stitch Fix is a personal style service for men and women.

A styling team picks pieces based on your style and preferences. You can schedule your fix every 2-3 weeks, every month, every other month or every three months.

First up is this blue dress. I love this style of dress, and the color is gorgeous. I also feel the price is reasonable so I’m keeping this one.

WISP Madi Eyelet Knit Dress
SIZE: 6
$88

Next, I’m styling a cold shoulder top and this one I would have to wear a strapless bra which I wasn’t wearing in these pictures. This top is cute but it was a little low cut, and I decided not to keep it. (My jeans can be found here and my wedge heels here.)

SIZE: XS
$54

They sent a floral sleeveless top, and it has crotchet detail in the back (I should have snapped a picture of the back). I liked this top but I didn’t need it, so I decided not to keep it.

MARKET & SPRUCE Cassie Crochet Detail Top
SIZE: XS
$54

Up next are these cargo straight leg pants. I’m not a peach color fan, and I also felt they were pricey, so I decided not to keep them.

LILA RYAN Kati Chino Cargo Straight Leg Pant
SIZE: 6
$98

Lastly, they sent me a lace-up wedge in a gray color. I don’t have any gray wedges, so I decided to keep these. I feel like I can wear them well into fall.

  1. Hi Cyndi, I hope your extended family and your family find strength during this time.
May I ask for some details on your home decor in the photos? It looks lovely!

  2. I am so sorry to hear about your what you & Wayne are going thru with his parents. We are doing the same on both sides of our family too. My mom is 92 & is in an upscale nursing home close by and is doing well. My father in law is not doing so well and is in hospice care. I will keep you and your family in my prayers. I do visit my Mom a lot and ride her around & get milkshakes & cookies. Really enjoy her close by . I have a portable transport chair that I buckle in the back of car & keep for dropping by……we take her to the park , Jason’s Deli, shopping etc. Hope she will be continue to be healthy! Love your choices on the clothes. 🙂

  3. Cyndi, as you know, we have been through such a season of grief with the recent loss of my mom, so my heart is with you and Wayne during this time. Hospice was a real blessing for us, as we could not do what needed to be done to keep my mom comfortable in her last days.
My prayers are with your family. It is so hard to see a loved one between this world and the next. God gives us strength when we feel depleted. 😘

  4. Sorry to hear about your in laws!! Prayers going up for you and your family… Congrats on your new grand baby..
I always love your blog… Wise choice on your picks from your Stitch Fix Box…
    Have a way day…
    Lori

  5. Your “Beauty for the Heart” really spoke to me today. My mom has been diagnosed with cancer (not sure what type yet. We find out next week). The words gave me strength. I hope to pass that on to my mom and family. Thank you for sharing that. It was good timing! Love your blog!

  6. The dress is perfect for you! Maybe you and Wayne can have a date night before fall. Sorry to hear about your in laws. I’m praying for your family.

  7. Beautiful dress definitely a keeper . Sorry to hear about your in-laws . God has a plan and they are so lucky to have the support of you and Wayne both.. it’s hard to feel helpless but I’m sure your presence with them means a lot 😀 prayers for you all.

  8. Hi Cyndi! I like several of these pieces. I also loved the home decor items in the background. Have you already shared the rug, pillows, etc?

  9. I LOVE Stitch Fix! I only treat myself a few times per year, but always find unique and cute things! I adore the grey shoes💗
Thanks so much for all of the cute outfit, hair and make up ideas for us over 50 gals! You’ve helped to make me realize I don’t have to dress “old”!!!💗. I also really love the inspirational messages you post! You are such an inspiring person to me!! Thanks again! Prayers to you and your in laws🙏🏻

  10. Absolutely LOVE the Beauty for the Heart today! Prayers for your in-laws. For sure, it’s a difficult time. The stitch fix shares are such a tease. Totally love that blue dress but can’t find it online. Drat! Also like the gray lace ups but they don’t come small enough for me. However, I don’t really need gray wedges since you hooked me up with a pair from Lucky Brand last year!! Thanks!

  11. So sorry to hear about Wayne’s parents. I will be praying for all of you. 🙏🏻….Love the blue dress & grey wedges 😊 thx for sharing

  12. So sorry to hear about the difficult time your family is facing. Hugs and prayers!

I’ve tried Stitch Fix, too. I haven’t had much luck, but the pieces you received are cute! Love the dress! 🙂 I’m glad to see the lace up style shoes are still “in.” I have a pair in cognac with a block heel that I’ve avoided wearing because I wasn’t sure about them. 😉

  13. thank you for the update on Wayne’s parents. Both of our parents who required hospice care required more advanced care than could allow them to remain in their private homes. Neverthe less, they did receive great care and kept us updated throughout and we were able to come and go as we pleased so it was nearly like being in their homes. God bless them and your family in this part of the journey.
i so wish i could see more of the neckline o the blue dress and the crochet trim on the top. have a blessed day.

  14. I’m so sorry to hear your in-laws aren’t doing well. We are also dealing with aging parents and it is very difficult to watch.

  15. Loved your message today. I just lost a father-in-law in February after a time in hospice care. The hospice caretakers are angels. They were so helpful and caring and allowed him to stay in his home until he passed. What a blessing.

Prayers to you all during this difficult time.

  16. Yes I agree your fixes are adorable. Blue dress is a keeper. I’m looking for neutral area rug too and really like the one in your pictures. Was that purchased recently?

  17. Love that blue dress, but think your stylist is getting to know you well as all the pieces look right for you.

Prayers for your in-laws and your family. I thought Wayne retired? Has he accepted another pastorship?

  18. Hi Cyndi,

You got some really nice pieces in your Stitch Fix. I didn’t really like it the one time I tried it, but maybe I need to give it a few more shots. I’m sure it takes some time for them to start understanding your personal style. I do kind of like those peach cargo pants, though!

Praying for your in-laws today, and for you and Wayne as you go to see them this afternoon. The Bible teaches that for everything there is a season, but some seasons are just really hard, aren’t they? Blessings, dear one!

  19. I don’t use StitchFix, but my DIL does and loves it. The blue dress is definitely a keeper. Just darling!

I’m sorry about your in-laws. We are in that season with my parents. Daddy is 91 and Mother is 85. It started last July 4th, so we are a year in. I know God uses these times for lessons and I am patiently waiting to understand it. Blessings to you and Wayne, and his family.

  20. So sorry about your in-laws. We’ve also walked that road and it’s so hard, but what a joy it is when you know they’re released from this earth to heaven! Also wanted to say that you may not like peach but it looks great on you!

  21. So sorry about your in laws…it is so hard to watch. Praying they’ll be comforted by God & those helping them.

Love the blue dress & the shoes you chose. I haven’t had good luck at all with Stitch Fix or Dia.com. I felt like they weren’t reading my likes or dislikes. Very frustrating.

    Have a blessed week.

    Sherli

  22. Lovely photos as always.
I also am dealing with a parent in a nursing facility. It is heart breaking and tiresome. God has a purpose for what he allows into our lives. I try to accept all things quickly now so that I can deal with the problems. Treasure the brief moments that are left and with God’s help, he will shelter you through the storm. Prayers.

  23. That blue dress is absolutely gorgeous on you! I’m so sorry about your in-laws and their failing health. Praying for you and your family.

  24. The royal blue dress is gorgeous and looks so nice on you. I am so sorry about the failing health of your in laws. It is so very hard to watch them go downhill, and as you said, there’s not much we can do, but love them and let them know you are there for them. I will keep y’all in my prayers!

  25. Do you know where I can purchase the dress? I am not a fan of Stitch Fix, can I purchase it anywhere else?

  26. The quote was a much needed reminder for all of us. Thank you.
I, too, have a mom that is on Hospice. Prayers for you all.
Your choices were great. You are such a blessing to me.

  27. Cyndi, your parents parallels what mine are going through. Seems like a wives become collateral damage. Giving everything til they drop. My step father has hospice care at home and all the running and fetching caused my mother’s 2nd stroke within one years time. Meanwhile he is doing pretty good. What I am trying to say is spare your mom if you can.

  28. I’m sorry you are going thru such an emotional time. The new baby to bring such joy and then the heartache of watching our loved ones age and their health fail. Prayers for you, Wayne and his family.

  29. Praying for you and your in-laws. So hard when you are a “doer” and feel that you can not “do” anything. Your presence is DOING so much and bringing so much comfort. You can trust God to fill in the “gaps” and supply your inlaws with what they need whether it is through you and Wayne or through others or the Holy Spirit.

  30. Cyndi,
I’m sorry to hear about your in-laws. My husband’s best friend was killed in an accident a couple weeks ago. Life can change in a moment.
    I love the gray shoes!
    Prayers to your family,

  31. Oh, Cyndi, that quote!! Love it so, and I have two friends who need it today. Thank you for sharing.
Said a prayer for your family.

  32. You hit it today! Loved your honesty about Stitch Fix. Currently on a break with them – but I probably have 200 style cards from all the clothes I’ve bought over the years. But lately I’ve thought some of their peices a little too sheer or “dear” for the quality.
BUT… what really hit me was your quote! I can’t wait to share it with my daughters! Blessed.

  33. I love your sense of style. May I say, are you petite? In some of your photos you do look petite. I’m petite and I have a hard receiving clothes from Stitch Fix in petite even after requesting numerous times.
