Black Blouse + Green Skirt

Happy hump day! When I saw this dark green skirt at LOFT, I knew I wanted to style it for fall. The great thing about this skirt is it will easily transition to winter with black tights and boots.

Black Blouse + Green SkirtI style different handbags at different price points. This JCrew bag is on the higher end because it’s Italian leather. I love the metallic top handle, and it has a magnetic closure inside so everything stays in your bag.

There are limited sizes of my leopard flats, but this is a similar option for a flat, and this is a similar slingback flat.

Black Blouse + Green SkirtI purchased my chain necklace from JCPenney, and it’s under $10. Remember when I shared this post on 3 JEWELRY TRENDS FOR FALL 2018?? I shared how chain necklaces, earrings, and bracelets are trending.

Black Blouse + Green Skirt Black Blouse + Green Skirt Black Blouse + Green Skirt This is a great classic outfit with some pops of trendy pieces.

Now, head over and see what Jo-Lynne is styling for fall!

I’m so honored that you have taken time out of your day to stop by my blog. I’m also on FacebookPinterest, and my favorite one, Instagram.

Beauty For the Heart~~I don’t know about you, but I like when life is going well. I don’t care for the difficult days. I often think I can control the things around me but God quickly reminds me that I am not in control.

When I can’t wrap everything in my life in a pretty box with a big red bow, I get antsy. And let’s be honest life is not always a pretty box with a big red bow.

Psalm 34:17-18 says, The Lord hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.

Whatever our day holds, Jesus hears us and He is with us.

Have a blessed day!

  1. Cute outfit and I love the color combo and of course those shoes.. our humidity is back and will feel like the high 90’s for the next week.. oh my I’m not sure if we will see fall at all.. crazy weather and hard to know what to wear..

  2. I like the pops of color and pattern you have shown us in this series to perk up basic outfits! You also have a knack for finding inexpensive accessories that don’t look cheap, like the necklace today. I’m sure many readers appreciate this.
I still have an old fanny pack I get out for air travel, hikes, etc. I like having travel documents, keys and money readily accessible and leaving my hands free. And bonus: you can still carry a large tote for your one personal item to put under the plane seat.

  3. Is that faux suede fabric back in style? If so, I could kick myself since I got rid of a short sporty jacket I had because I thought the fabric was out of style. It was this same green color.

    1. Getting rid of something too soon is a specialty of mine! That rule of ‘if you haven’t worn it in a year, toss it’ does not always work!

  4. Good Morning, I look forward to reading your notes and blog and have found it fun again to dress, thank you. I would like to know if you have ever done a review of jean jackets??? I love th AG jean feel and would really like it in a jacket but not too short. What are your suggestions? Thank you again for encouraging all of us to look nice. Also thank you for your Godly encouragement. Have a blessed week

  5. Very cute outfit! I love that skirt. I have trouble with skirts unless like you I keep them very tonal in color value. If they are tone on tone, almost identical in the same color then I get the lengthening effect of a dress. I need to buy more skirts…..they are fun tomix & match and wear tights with for fall. You look fabulous & the leopard is just the right punch to the outfit!

  6. “Whatever our day holds Jesus hears us and is with us.”…. such comforting and strengthening words.. thank you!

  7. Hello Cyndi,
I really enjoy your posts. Curious about the skirt – I’m quite curvy or a ‘pear’ shape. Is this a straight cut skirt so if it fits in the hips it’s large in the waist?
    Thanks in advance.
