Happy first day of fall! As if the weather knew today was the first official day, the heat has left, and we have a cool, crisp morning. There’s something about those first cool mornings, don’t you think? It makes you want to linger in your pajamas, drinking coffee, just a little longer.
Last night we went to visit Wayne’s mom, and we snapped a few pictures of the outfit I wore. This is my signature style outfit! A comfy black top, jeans, and leopard flats.
I have spent a lot of time on this little country road where Wayne’s mom lives. It’s where Wayne grew up, and it’s such a peaceful place. Right down the road from where we took these pictures you can see the beginning of the Appalachian Mountains in the distance.
My black blouse is from Social Threads. It’s a great piece to add to your fall wardrobe. You do have to wear a cami under it because of the neckline and the sheerness, but it’s still a great top. (There is a button closure at the neckline, so it doesn’t drape open.)
Here is the back view, it hangs long in the back, which most of us like.

I love to wear a black top with jeans also. I had my daughters girls this weekend, 3 year old and 9 month old twins. My husband & I are exhausted. Took them to daycare an hour away and got to work about an hour late. We’re not as young as we thought we were. Exhausted but miss them already.
I just love FALL and the cooler mornings etc. Sounds so special to have Colt for over night and pancakes. He’s so cute. That huge big smile. My go to outfit is one that includes jeans, a sweater and a scarf. I love scarves. Are they going to still be in? Love the outfit.

Should have complimented you many months ago -really appreciate the what and how you post. Realize your coloring is more ‘winter/summer/cool’ (whatever the term is now) but would love to see the same styles in perhaps warmer colors.
I’m deep south so the hot seems to never leave, It’s 90 today and will be in high 80’s for a while – dressing for fall means basically summer weight in fall colors! It’s difficult to dress and decorate fall when the pool is still open……
This is my kind of outfit too. Most days I wear jeans with a cute top. If I’m going out I add fun accessories and shoes. This weekend I’m watching 4 of my grandkids play hockey! I live in Canada and we are a hockey family😊

I bought a white button down you featured Social threads.. a few weeks ago. I ordered my usual size Large. It was the smallest size large I have ever tried on! Is this a junior line? I don’t think they run true to size for women. I read another review for that shirt and a woman said the same thing about the medium. I liked the shirt style and tencel material but they’re sizing is off. And they don’t carry a lot of XL either. I know you are very petite but their line appears to run small and carries junior brands.
Love the outfit.. It’s my go to outfit as well. When in doubt pick your favorite jeans, a black top and add some cute shoes and accessories, and a way you go… We’ve had a few fall like days but getting sun and heat again today… Perhaps now that’s its fall the weather pattern may change. Hot one day… Cool the next.. Who knows what to wear. Looking to get some fall decorating done outside as well… Have a great weekend
