Puffer Vest from Amazon

Happy hump day ladies! Today I’m styling a puffer vest from Amazon. Amazon has stepped up their fashion game, and I recently ordered a Prime Wardrobe. This vest was one of the pieces that I kept.

Many of you live in the south and have asked for winter fashion that’s not sweaters and coats. If it’s warmer in the winter, I like to wear vests. You can take them off if you need to, but they’re great for layering.

Puffer Vest from AmazonThe plaid shirt is from Old Navy, and it comes in lots of different patterns, including this buffalo check that I might have to grab.

Puffer Vest from AmazonI’m wearing my favorite AG jeans, and they’re on sale at Bloomingdales. I do wear less expensive jeans; I have a closet full! The problem is, they sell out and they don’t restock them. I am on the hunt for a less expensive jean so stay tuned.

Puffer Vest from AmazonI picked up this suede, slouchy hobo bag with an adjustable shoulder strap. It’s great if you want extra room.

Puffer Vest from AmazonI will wear this outfit here in Kentucky but we are beginning to get some colder weather, so I’ll add my booties.

Beauty For The Heart~~While we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good. Titus 2:14

If we are to be like Christ, we need to be eager to do good. Today, let’s be women that are eager to do good.

  • Smile at a stranger
  • Hug your family a little tighter
  • Call a friend and check on her
  • Give grace to someone who you’re holding a grudge
  • Today, compliment someone you work with

Have a blessed day!

  1. I love this outfit! Great pattern mixing and the bag goes so well with the outfit. I can see myself replicating it with some booties for the winters we get here in New England!

  2. You look adorable in both outfits! Just love that plaid top and of course the leopard vest! What size of the Nickel & Suede leather earrings are you wearing? The medium? Very cute.

  3. Love the puffer vest! Just picked up a similar one at Old Navy for $20. Love it with the plaid shirt 🙂 Have a blessed day.

  4. Hi Cyndi! Thank you for styling an outfit for a milder winter. I live in southern California where the temps rarely go below the 60s during the day in the winter. I still like to wear cute, wintery outfits, though, and appreciate your ideas. Also – The leopard and plaid looks cute together! I struggle with my leopard shoes and belt. I over think and try too hard. I need to think outside the box with it. 🙂

  5. What a great casual outfit today!
I’m sure your Thanksgiving dinner will
be a dinner to remember, “Trust Yourself”!!
    Have a blessed evening!!

  6. Ha. I know what you mean about working at home. We are self employed and it’s hard to turn it all off it could actually be 24/7…. I love this outfit and I can duplicate too with pieces I already have which is bonus:) I would have never thought of putting my leopard print flats with the red plaid.. Thank you for taking it up a notch:) it’s 65 and sunny here today in my part of Canada so on these milder days this is great… but I know the colder days will be back have no fear.
    Blessing xo

  7. I love my vest. I think I own about 5. 🤔. They are great when shopping and running in/out of stores. I often get hot when shopping and don’t want to carry my winter coat. They are easy to accessorize with a scarf 🧣 long sleeve T’s, button down or turtle neck. My red one is my favorite and looks quite festive when picking up holiday gifts. 🎁

  8. I love this! I love the way the plaid and leopard look together- classy yet casual! Love that BFTH too…
I am positive your Thanksgiving will turn out sweetly perfect! I adore what you did with your dining room!

    Blessings!!

  9. Love today’s style and heart tip. Im working on the grace/forgiveness thing….some days it is so hard, but I know God will bless me for changing my attitude and heart towards ones that have hurt me.

  10. I really wish I could wear AG jeans – they seem to give me a “funky crotch thing” and it ruins the look for me. I’ve lucked out with American Eagle as a cheaper brand – I’m not overly curvy and they are not only cheap but fit to a T. Love the vest on you and I’m debating on that leopard one, but I think I may be overdosing on that pattern – I love it so much!

    1. This is available directly from J Crew at J Crew Factory – just double checked and it’s available in the navy in every size for 39.50

  11. I have so many puffer vests in many different colors and wear them a lot here in Colorado where layering is key. Also like the look of the plaid flannel shirts with the vests.

  12. Hi, Cindy. I love your blog and your fashion sense! One problem – I live in So Cal and we just don’t get the winters here that would allow me to wear some of the great styles. That, coupled with the fact that I think I’m now in the “hot phase” of life have led me to swear off long sleeves! 🙂 In fact I’ve been thinking that in my next career I may start a blog for 40-50-ish ladies out here on the West Coast! It’s hard to look in fashion when it’s still 75-80 degrees during the day! Anyway, thank you for your great insights and ideas. Kimberlee in San Diego
