When In Doubt Wear Neutral

I love a good pop of color but when in doubt, I’ll wear neutral. Not only is it easy to put together but it’s very chic. It’s makes getting dressed easy too!

This time of year we still get a lot of cool days, so a light bell sleeve sweater is perfect for our spring weather. This sweater is from Macy’s, and it’s on sale for under $25. It also comes in several different colors. I’m wearing winter white.

When In Doubt Wear Neutral The sweater has side slits and a hi-lo hem.

When In Doubt Wear NeutralWhen In Doubt Wear NeutralIs there anything better than a nude pump? They go with everything, and they add a little class to your outfit. I wore these all day yesterday with this jacket. They run small so order 1/2 size up.

When In Doubt Wear NeutralI’m carrying my new handbag from Sole Society right now as my everyday handbag. It does have a longer strap if you want to carry it as a shoulder bag.

When In Doubt Wear Neutral I’m wearing my AG jeans that are pricey. I purchase them when they go on sale. I have said this before, but they are my go-to jeans. If I could only have one pair of jeans, these would be the ones I would want.

Beauty For The Heart~~If you can still weep with someone crushed of spirit, if you can still laugh with someone whose dream came true, if you can still pray in the bleakest darkness and take one next step in the light, if you still believe Jesus speaks and lean your ear to the page to listen, SATAN LOST. -Beth Moore

That is the kind of quote that makes me want to jump up and down and shout YES!!! Keep leaning into Jesus!

Have a blessed day!

  1. I love the blue mirror sunglasses you had on your cruise. I’ve had zero luck finding a similar pair (you’d told us Amazon had sold out). Any idea on other inexpensive resources?

  2. You look gorgeous as always, Cyndi. I love the sweater with your tan. I ordered the purse you’re carrying yesterday when you styled it. In fact I’ve now ordered three purses from Sole Society and have been very pleased with the quality.
    You always look so classy!

  3. Love this outfit. Ordered the sweater in white and peacock. I also would like to know if this sweater will pill and if so what do you do to avoid this.
Love your blog and the BFTH today. I always look forward to your blog to help me get my outfit and closet ready for the season.

  4. Thank you for your ministry, fashion such a great platform to spread the gospel. Are the Ag jeans that you linked today the ones you prefer? They have so many with many different material combinations. I would like to try a pair if I could catch a sale! Also, have an upcoming appt with Holly for brows. Thanks for sharing your experiences with us.
    God bless
    Dee

  5. Love this! I’m a (mostly) neutrals girl anyway- but whats more funny is even before I saw this post, I put on a white sweater, navy pants, and my nude pointy-toe flats (from JCP)!! So basically the same outfit! Lol! I love the handbag, the sweater, the shoes- obviously the jeans… all of it! And thank you for sharing this BFTH today- I needed that reminder… <3

  6. Love a neutral and a bell sleeve. I totally agree when in doubt pick a neutral and some fun jewelry and run with it. I’m getting tempted to order that purse the more I see you style it… Have a great day. I just bought the Warm Me Up lipstick you wear to give it a try…

  7. This look is spot on! I love the white, bell sleeve sweater with the dark wash jeans. If I could wear heels, those would be in my cart. Bump this lady up to First a Class! 😉

  8. I am looking for a denim jacket that is a bit longer. My current jacket hits far to high for my back side :(((

    Any recommendations???

    Thanks, Maria

  9. Love everything about this outfit! A white sweater and neutrals look so fabulous and the AG jeans are the best!

  10. Really love your blog and how it is my “go to” on what to wear. But I have a question about caring for sweaters. I find that they quickly pill and look worn. Do you have any suggestions?

    1. Cindy, you Always look better than the models! You’re the best. I love your blog. Keep up the good work. You are such a wonderful witness for the Lord!

  11. I’m a neutral fan! So much so it’s almost a joke when my daughter and I shop – the rule is, no white, no black, no tan when we shop – it’s so hard though because it really does make dressing for work so easy and all the pieces can be mixed and matched.

  12. Just ordered this sweater. Looks like the perfect sweater for the spring. I still can’t get into wearing pumps with jeans, but this outfit looks great on you.

    1. In the same, Anna — I can remember when jeans with heels was considered a trashy look, so it’s hard for me, too. I’m glad that Cyndi is helping me move with the times! – I wore some red block heels with jeans on Sat – good to get out of my comfort zone, and find out i like the way I look!
