Colorful Floral Kimono from Sole Society

This post is sponsored by Sole Society.

Happy hump day ladies! Kimonos seem to be here to stay. They’re the perfect thing to wear on a summer day that’s not too hot, and they’ll transition into fall on a day that’s not too cold. Today I’m styling a colorful floral kimono from Sole Society, and it’s on sale.

As a matter of fact, they have quite a few items on sale, and you can check them out here. They also have free shipping on orders $50 or more.

I have to say the colors in this kimono are gorgeous!

Since it’s summer, I thought I would wear a white tee and white jeans under the kimono. It gives it a fresh summer look.

Colorful Floral Kimono from Sole SocietyInstead of wearing a sandal, I wore these peep-toe booties in the brown sugar color. These are perfect for summer, but they’ll transition right into fall.

I’ve been carrying this tassel satchel as my everyday bag.

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to stop by my blog. I’m also on FacebookPinterest, and, Instagram.

Beauty For the Heart~~My sister was going through some things she had kept of our Mom’s, and she found a piece of paper. Mom had this typed on the paper:

In addressing the church of Corinth, Paul writes, “You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, known and loved by everybody.”

In a sense, a grandmother’s life is one long love letter to her family, friends, and God. Nothing would make her prouder than to know that her family has tucked that letter in their wallets and purses–better yet, hidden it in their hearts–and lived the same kind of other-oriented life that she had lived.

She would want her family to look for the best in one another. To “make do” with what circumstances they’ve been given. And of course, to stop and look at the sunrises and sunsets, for as she wrote, “they are gorgeous to behold…the handiwork of the Lord.” -author unknown

It doesn’t surprise me that Mom would have this written down. Her life was a beautiful love letter, and we have all tucked it into our hearts. Think about the love letter as a mom, a friend, or a grandmother, that you are writing. Let’s live a life worthy of our calling (Ephesians 4:1).

Have a blessed day!

  1. I love this outfit, but I think I’d wear the shirt underneath untucked, to cover the top of the jeans. The waistband and zipper placket kind of detract from the soft, fluid lines of the kimono, and to my eye, break up the flow.. Other than that, it’s lovely.

  2. Cyndi, I love most things you show us but don’t you think this Komono “swallows” you up? As a petite woman I feel this wardrobe piece is meant for those taller. Way too big!

  3. Oh Wow!!!!! What your mother wrote is so precious and such a treasure for you guys to find and keep. Its so true. We are responsible for the legacy we want to leave behind for our children and grandchildren and I think it has to be intentional and not expect it to just happen. With God, we can live the life he has planned for us. Thank you Cyndi for sharing your mother’s words. She would be so proud of you all. Love the Kimono on you. Such pretty colors. I’m afraid it would be too long for my height but you’ve given other options I’ll have to check out. I love kimono’s and glad they will be around for awhile. I can’t believe we are starting to talk Fall already, but its going to come fast and the NSALE always does that to us. 🙂

  4. Pretty. What tanless foam lotion did you post couple weeks ago. Think it came from Target. I’ve looked and your past post named 3 but not this one.

  5. Lovely Kimono, beautiful colors! I can see how it would also work very well in the fall …… great choice!

  6. I appreciate your sharing your Mom’s thoughts on the legacy we’re writing on the hearts of those we love. We’re all are writing a legacy, weather we realize it or not. I pray mine is one the Lord will be pleased with and my lived ones can glean from.

  7. Morning Cyndi I didn’t receive your email yet I just happened to scroll down the the bottom if yesterday’s page and found the pic of you wearing this beautiful kimono:) the colors are gorgeous and I love that you paired it over white with white. So fresh looking. Have a wonderful day
    Blessings
