Happy Thursday, ladies! Thank you so much for all your sweet comments on yesterday’s post. I think we all agree that aging is not for the faint of heart, but we want to be thankful for the gift of life. Let’s rock our 40s, and 50s, and 60s, and on!
I decided to stick with my theme of boho this week and share a color block leopard kimono from Sole Society. I wore this to dinner at our daughter and son-in-law’s house.
This kimono is lightweight and perfect for a mild summer evening. It will be something I can wear through fall.
If you don’t want to wear shorts, black jeans will look cute too. I’m wearing my bodysuit, but a white t-shirt will work.
I’m always raving about Sole Society’s shoes and handbags, but they have so many cute styles. I am eyeing these leopard slides for fall.
The black satchel has an adjustable strap if you want to carry it over your shoulder. It also comes in taupe and cognac.
The slingback wedge can be worn now and through fall too. It comes in the cinnamon color that I’m wearing but also black and a mushroom color.

Beauty For the Heart~~I was reading the book of James and a verse stood out to me. Actually, it was the very end of James 2:13, Mercy triumphs over judgment. Isn’t that a sweet verse.
Mercy over judgment. That’s how we are to treat people. Even people that might have hurt us. Mercy…if God can be merciful with me, then can’t I be merciful to those around me?
Speak and act as those who are going to be judged by the law that gives freedom, because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment. James 2:12-13

This is a beautiful kimono and you look great in it but it seems to me the proportions are off in this outfit. I think I would wear with white jeans and a T-shirt or cami, or black jeans and a black top for that classic column of color. The shorts seem too short, as others have mentioned, and the shoes seem a little too heavy.
I’ve got the sweater from Amazon in my cart… also the Victoria Emerson watches are on sale that you styled last week for $39.99.
Cyndi, I think it would be very hard to grow older so publicly! You are doing it beautifully! I love the leopard cardigan. I’m 5’1”. Do you think my small frame could handle it?

Cute outfit but for me longer shorts would be better. also I noticed when I went to purchase, it has a tie string in front and in some of your pictures I can see it hanging. I’m definitely not a fan of the drawstring (as another person said, looks like a house coat) – so can the strings be cut off and the kimona still have a cute look?
You can actually pull the tie string out. You don’t have to cut it.
I was just in Walmart this morning and saw a very cute leopard print tank top that would be great for layering under a solid cardigan or kimono…and it was only $4!!! If you want to dip a toe in that trend, that’s an inexpensive way.

I want to love the kimono look. They are so popular right now. Guess I am old, cause to me, they kinda look like wearing a housoat in public, ha! I am gonna keep trying to like though!

Cyndi, I’ve enjoyed watching your style morph over the past few years that I’ve been following. I think (actually hope) that we all change and morph, not only in our style, but in our lives as well. I don’t want to be the same version of me that I’ve been in the past. I want to constantly grow and mature and learn, and yes, even change my style! (I’m pretty well known in my circle for changing my hair style pretty often, LOL!!) And as you said, my love for Jesus needs to change too- it needs to consistently GROW! Keep doin’ what you’re doin’…. and thank you! <3
Love the kimono. The outfit is really cute on you, but I really think longer, black shorts would have put it up a notch, as those shorts are just too short under a kimono, and makes it look like a bathing suit cover with the body suit. Love the shoes!!!

Carmen I know it’s hard but i think of them as neutrals and wear everything with them. My favorite with camo is a navy top or a pale pink top.
