Friday Fashion, Sales, and Trends

Happy Friday! Yesterday we spent the day in Beaufort, South Carolina. What a beautiful place! It was definitely hot, but it was worth the trip from Charleston.

Today I’m sharing some fashion, some sales, and a couple of trends that I like.

First up, I wore this casual black swing dress from Amazon. I knew I would be comfortable, and since we were sight-seeing, comfortable was a must.

This printed halter dress is perfect for Charleston weather. You can dress it down with a cute pair of flat sandals. I noticed it’s on sale for $39.

This striped blouse is on sale and a good option for workwear.

LOFT has a 40% off sale, and my favorite camo pants are included. They are great for fall!

In case you haven’t noticed, bracelets are having a moment and the more, the merrier! I love these, and I’ve ordered several.

If you love to be on the trendier side when it comes to jeans, these stripe down the side of jeans are a great option.

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to stop by my blog. I’m also on FacebookPinterest, and, Instagram.

Beauty For the Heart~~When we hold onto anger, bitterness, and unforgiveness, we do the devil’s work for him.

But when we give evidence to the inner workings of God by trading anger for kindness, resentment for compassion and bitterness for gentleness…it splits this cold world wide open with the warmth of Jesus. Not one person who sees it walks away unaffected. -Lysa Terkeurst

Have a blessed day!

  1. Hi Cindi, I love all your weekend picks!! I always look to you for outing inspiration. I saw you in Charleston yesterday while out walking the market..I was like…wait..is that her? And then after reading your blog to my wonderful surprise it was….you always looks gorgeous!

  2. Welcome back from what sounds like a wonderful vacation! The halter dress is beautiful and you look stunning in it.

  3. It is beautiful. Kind of a secret down there, my Mom, & sister moved down 10 years ago, and now my brother lives there too! Still too hot for this Northerner tho.

The dresses are definitely a cool choice for the weather.

  4. Hi, Cyndi! The home inconveniences will be worth it in the end! My husband and I are on day 117 of living in a small camp trailer while our home is being renovated. We finally get to move back in on August 8! The finish line is in sight! Hang in there!

  5. I don’t have instagram, so please share about your Charleston trip on your blog once you get home. Love your post from there. I love the outfits your took to wear. I just read the last 2 days of your sisters blog. Oh, my. The good-bye video was hard to watch…..I can’t imagine how hard it was for you and the rest of your family to see them go. You’ve all lived so close to each other for soooo long. Lots of memories with them. I hope you get to go visit them often. I would never be able to do what they are doing. They left that beautiful house they redid and now starting over. Its their gifting. I bet you can’t imagine with your fire place remodel taking so much time and like you said wanting your house back together. Can you imagine the whole house? 🙂

  6. Great photos. I love the ones in front of the beautiful trees with hanging Spanish moss. I grew up down south, so that was a nice, familiar image to me.

  7. Hi Cyndi.
Hope you had a wonderful vacation! I’ve missed some of the stories on instagram but wondering if you will be saving those in a highlight for Charleston or doing a blog post on Charleston?
I am curious because we will be visiting in the Fall from WA state.
As always, love your blog and reading it daily and especially the Beauty for the Heart!
    Thank you!

  8. Love the Lisa Terkeurst quote! so true. Forgiveness brings such freedom! Glad you had a great week in Charleston… thx for your posts while on vacay.. do you ever get a vacay from your blog? 😉

  9. Glad you’ve enjoyed your vacation in my “home state”. Having lived most of my life in SC, and now living in TN I can tell you that SC is a beautiful state! From the coast to the mountains, there’s something special about all of it. Charleston is beautiful, as is Beaufort, Hilton Head, and Edisto Island. Some of the best seafood! I miss being a couple of hours from the beach/ocean!

  10. Can you provide link for the neutral purse in the outfit with striped top from social threads? I love the look of the amazo. Jeans, do they stretch out much? Enjoy the rest of your vacation!

  11. Wow! Just wow! Today’s BFTH is so perfect for me today. I know the words aren’t original to you but thank you for being the vessel willing to pass them on to me.

  12. Glad you enjoyed your trip and also glad you reminded me about the Social Threads sale on this top. I really like that I can wear it now and into fall as well because of the colors. But I couldn’t pay full price but now that its on sale I’m going to get it. Also the Caslon sneakers are so cute but sold out in my size 6. It said they run small and to order up, did you find this to be sure?

  13. So glad you’re having a wonderful time on your vacation. You sound like me … any time we go somewhere I always jam pack every single day with plans and while we always enjoy them we get back home so tired. Ha ha. Maybe you should just take today to relax and not do too much. (I need to take my own advice next vacation.). 😉

Lots of choices from what you featured today.

    Love the BFTH! ❤️

  14. Hi Cyndi! I traveled to Charleston and Beaufort for the first time last year at Christmas and fell in love with both places! Beaufort is where my boyfriend was stationed with the Marines and we are going back the first of September. I can’t wait! There is a fantastic restaurant in Port Royal (close to Beaufort) called Fishcamp on 11th Street. Great casual restaurant. We found it last December and ate there twice during our short stay. Give it a try the next time. Hope your trip was wonderful!!
