Target Home Decor For Our Family Room

Happy hump day, friends! I knew the longer I stayed in every day that I would want to spruce up some of my rooms around the house, so I’m sharing some decor I recently added to my family room.

Target recently launched a new line with Studio McGee, and there are so many pretty pieces. Some of the items are already sold out, but there are still some left, so I grabbed a few.

We spend a lot of time in our family room when my kids and grandkids are here, so it’s very lived in!

Also, every time I take pictures of my family room, I realize I need to hand my Pottery Barn curtains. They’re too long, so I need to get them hemmed.

I’ll have to wait until we get past this season, but it’s on my to-do list.

I did some rearranging of my white bookcase, and I added the items below.

This chair needed an ottoman. I also wanted to add some touches of pink, so I purchased this lumbar pillow, and I added a navy throw. You can find the rug HERE.

I love all the pillows she has in this collection!

My pictures are from Minted. I texted a picture of this wall, and they picked out my prints for me. I love this service, and you can find it HERE.

Reflections in the Blue (14″ x 11″ Matte Brass Frame)//Rift Art Print (24″ x 24″ Walnut Wood Frame)//Watercolor Botanical I Good Mornings Art Print (16″ x 20″ Rich Black Wood Frame)

Here are some things I added to my Family Room.

Make sure you check out the entire line from Studio McGee HERE.

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to stop by my blog. I’m also on FacebookPinterest, and Instagram.

Beauty For the Heart~~  I read these words in my devotion yesterday from Jesus Calling, My everlasting Love is at work in every event of your life.

It’s comforting to know that God’s love for us is everlasting. Also, He is with us in every event, including this season with COVID-19. Let’s seek Him today.

Have a blessed day!

  1. Asking again because I really want to know: where did you get your sofa? Several people have asked but no response. I may have missed it in a previous post : (

  2. If i keep moving things, my husband is going to leave cuz he feels like he is in the wrong house……i am working from home and he is still leaving everyday…..Lord help me……

  3. Loved this idea for a post. Thank you for NOT doing another stay at home leisure wear. I didn’t notice any personal photos in your living room. Mine has kids, grandkids, and hubs and I all over the place and pictures of places we have vacationed. Do you not have personal stuff in your home? Not a criticism, just wondering.

    1. Penny Jo, Did you see Cyndi’s post about cozy pieces from JCP? The room she took her pics in for that have family pics on the wall. Looks like it might be a smaller living room.

  4. Love how you arranged your bookcases. Ever think of painting the back of bookcase with a color. I think a darkish blue would make all your accessories pop.

  5. shoot we’ve done more home projects, rearranging, organizing, building during this “at home time” than I care to think about – i mean i’m glad we did all of it but i’m also glad its done cause I’m tired from working on stuff and tired from being home 🙂

  6. Good Morning!
Your family room looks comfy! I have the same couch in my family room! I have been doing spring cleaning and playing with and rearranging my decor. I look forward to your posts every morning. Keep up the good work!

    1. Donna – where did you get your couch? Hers looks so comfortable. I have a leather sofa that I absolutely hate!

    1. Gorgeous room! Where did you find the wooden beads with tassels that are on your coffee table? Love them!!

  7. I love this new line!! You picked some really great pieces!! What color is the ticking on that ottoman? Gray? Blue?

So far my home purchases haven’t been quite as much fun as yours. Yesterday I was outside watering my flowers and got tired of messing w/my old water hose so I ordered a new one! lol! Needed, I guess, but not that exciting!

  8. Just hang the curtains higher. Don’t hem them. It will make your window look larger too. Your room looks very comfy and inviting!

  9. I love your added touches. I was hoping we’d get over to the states this spring or summer and I’d get my regular visit in at Target but doesn’t look like that will be happening:( and they don’t ship internationally anymore:( the many items you added would match our family room decor as well. We re painted last spring a light neutral before our daughters wedding and also did our living room in a nice blue shade.. I added shades of blue to the family room bringing that color out of our rug and our sofa set is almost the exact color as yours. There’s a new Home senses opening here and I have a list of things I’d like to get once things are back to normal. I was out before all this and picked up some new things for our guest room.. The longer I’m house bound the more things I’m adding to my list 🤦‍♀️

  10. The prints are the first thing I noticed about your room. I will have to check that service out. They look great!

  11. Hi Cyndi – I am from Calgary, AB Canada and I am pretty sure that small photograph they sent you is from Banff Canada – about an hour from my house! If it is, enjoy that little piece of Canada from all your Canadian readers! Your house looks so cozy – a nice place to be quarantined in!

  12. Hi Cyndi, I think one of the links to your artwork isn’t working correctly. One print is linked twice and one is not linked up. Thanks!
