Happy June 1st, and welcome summer! I’m so excited to start 22 Days of Summer Fashion with Jo-Lynne Shane.
We had taken a break from these series, but since COVID-19, we both thought we could use some normal, and these series feel very normal to us.
Jo-Lynne and I met over 10 years ago, and although we live in different states, she is a dear friend, and I love collaborating with her.
So let’s get started! Today I’ve got a colorful eyelet top from LOFT and a pair of high rise ankle flare jeans from EVEREVE.
Yesterday, we had a drive-in church service, and I wore this outfit to the service. It was a slightly chilly Kentucky morning, so this was a great outfit.
This eyelet top is 40% off, and it comes in regular, petite, and plus size. It is a shorter style top, but it doesn’t show your belly, and the style works great with these ankle flare jeans.
The jeans are Kut From the Kloth jeans, and they run big. I typically wear a size 4 in this brand, and I sized down to a 2. They have seven 5-star reviews.
These jeans have a lighter stripe on the inside of the legs, which gives them a 70s vibe.
I purchased my shoes from EVEREVE, and they’re sold out, but I found them at Bloomingdale’s, and they’re on sale.
My straw bag is from Amazon and under $20 and can be carried as a crossbody or as a clutch. I also wore this bracelet but my granddaughter wanted to wear it and I took it off and forgot to put it back on when we took these pictures.
Yesterday was a beautiful day in Kentucky, and I was thankful that we were able to go to church and worship together outside.

We had our first service yesterday. We had to sign up online for the 9 or 11am service & be seated by an usher when we arrived. When the pastor dismissed we left one row at a time as directed by an usher. Most people wore masks, a few didn’t.

Love the look of the jeans. I’m only 5’3″ and the 27 inseam would be like regular length for me. I don’t know how us short people can do the crop style. I think it looks so much cooler and I’m sure is for warm summesr having the more open leg vs. skinny jeans. I am still loving my skinny jeans but now seeing the wider legs and the crop, my eye is adjusting and I’d like to try some. Can you recommend a pant/jean like this in a petite length. Love the series you two do together, so this is going to be fun to open up each morning. So glad you got to meet for church. We go to a very small church, so meeting inside for us is a ways off. Not sure how outside drive by would work for us. I’m also eating for LOFT to open up around me to go into the store to try on pants/jeans. Just hard for me to order online. Love the top. So cute on you.
This is my exact problem. I am on 5’ and I’m wondering how us short ladies can wear this look. I love the look, and would love to wear it. Is it possible for us shorties?
I watched that top forever in the olive color and hesitated and now you can’t get the olive color! It looks cute on you and I love the jeans too!

Is the straw bag scratchy or is it soft and flexible? I really like it but hesitant that it might be scratchy and rub more delicate fabrics.
Yes, I wonder the same thing about the purse Jacalyn. Cyndi would the bag scatch fabrics?
Love the outfit and the color of the top! Nice that things are opening again… we have more opening the end of the week, but it’s far from normal with all the new protocols in place.. like they say it’s our new normal. Thankful for things moving forward with safety:)

That is a great color on you. Love the eyelet fabric, too. The sandals will allow your feet to tan without tan lines. Clear! What a great idea for eliminating tan lines. I live in Phoenix, Arizona, so a person can get a lot of sunshine just by being out 10minutes a day. That’s all it takes here.

It’s so nice to start getting back to normal again! Love the top but I have ordered way to much from Loft lately but the sales have been so good 😊
