Casual Striped Dress from Old Navy

Happy Friday, ladies! I hope your Friday is off to a good start. I’ve already worked out, had a few cups of coffee, and now I’m heading to the grocery store because we have friends coming over for dinner.

Last night we had a ‘park and eat’ at our church, and I wore this casual striped dress from Old Navy with sneakers. The dress is only $16 with code SWEET.

One of the things you will notice is I wear the same jewelry a lot. I love jewelry, but I love wearing classic jewelry that goes with all my outfits.

I have gold bracelets from Maple and J that I wear all the time. I never take them off. For summer, I’ve been wearing this white beaded bracelet from EVEREVE. And of course, I wear my Apple Watch.

I’m carrying this straw bucket bag from Amazon. It works great as a crossbody bag.

I love to mix stripes with animal print, and these sneakers have just the right amount!

This might be a good option for summer if you don’t like to wear shorts.

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to stop by my blog. I’m also on FacebookPinterest, and Instagram.

Make sure you head over to see what Jo-Lynne is styling for summer!

  1. Cyndi!!! such a cute outfit. I was looking and the white tennis shoes on the web site, and they look more cream than white, Are yours white?

  2. I purchased this dress on your suggestion and I really like it! Thank you for all your blog suggestions. It has really helped me update my wardrobe. 😊

  3. Do the gold bracelets that you tend to wear every day tarnish easily? I have a terrible time being able to buy gold jewelry that isn’t 10K or above, because it tarnishes so quickly that it just isn’t worth it?
Do you know when you might be able to share outfits according to body-type-especially pear. LOL

  4. Most the sizes are all sold out of the dress. I guess its been popular. Its so cute on you. I wish I could be more brave on being around more people. Things are just starting to open up around here where I live, but still only groups of 25. We got an announcement our church is going to meet Sunday, but don’t understand how when its a small church, with close quarters and we have about 100 plus attendees. I don’t know if I feel comfortable going yet, as I’m trying to stay safe, so I can see my grand babies. When you meet for your church outings, do you wear a mask? I’m glad you are venturing out to have people over. I’m trying to decided what to do. So many have been out and about and then it just opens up the circle so much more, but life is short and I’m afraid we might be locked down again come Fall. I need to pray about it. Have a great weekend…..you are right, it feels like a long week.

  5. Thank you so much for all the hard work you do on your blog! I love it and look forward to it every day. I love the things you style and your personality and perspective on life. I especially enjoy Beauty for the Heart. Today’s was wonderful!! I agree that in these turbulent times, spending time sitting quietly with Jesus is the best thing we can do. Thank you Cyndi!!!

  6. Oh I love this dress, I have a few of theirs already and love them to just through on and go. Unfortunately my size is sold out so I will keep checking. It sounds wonderful to hear of your get togethers. We are only allowed to visit outside with others that are not part of our two family bubble, and must distance at the 6 feet, and no food or drinks can be served, everyone pretty much has to bring their own. Max up to 10 people. We have restaurants and hair salons opening today, I will get my hair done finally on Monday and I cant wait…. Church doesn’t sound like it will be happening here until at least the fall if we are lucky or they may wait until there is a vaccine, not sure. Well enjoy your weekend and happy visiting:)

  7. Hi Cyndi! Love the outfit and thanks for the tip on the Maple and J bracelets. I just checked out their website and ordered a bangle. I love their tag line “Never Take It Off” – such a classic piece that I know I’ll have for years. I’m a fellow Kentucky Girl (I live in Louisville) and I just love your blog. Thanks for always providing a positive, pretty place to brighten my day.

  8. Too funny, I pulled out my stripped dress from Old Navy to wear to work today. I ordered two of the swing dresses and thought they would be super comfortable because I have a few extra pounds on now. I work in a casual environment and these dresses and be dressed up or down with sneakers as you styled it. So happy to hear your having friends over for dinner. Enjoy because life is too short to live in fear.

  9. Cindi they had my size I am so excited and i cant wait to get each day to get your blog . Thank you Vicki
