Ready to Shed the Winter Woes? Casual Spring Fashion Inspiration

This post is sponsored by Kohl’s and Collective Voice.

Spring is right around the corner, and soon, we’ll shed the heavy winter layers and embrace some spring fashion. This season, casual fashion is all about effortless chic.

Kohl’s has new spring arrivals, and right now, they have (sale?)

Casual Spring Fashion Inspiration

A key piece for any casual spring wardrobe is the versatile white shirt. This one is oversized and can be worn out, or you can tuck it in.

I like that the white shirt has side slits if you prefer to not tuck it in.

Denim is a wardrobe essential. Try different washes and silhouettes to discover what suits you best. This season, wide-leg crop flares are popular. I’m 5’5″ tall, so I prefer wearing them with a slight heel.

While spring brings warmer temperatures, we still have chilly days, and I love having a jacket with me in case I need it. This spring, bomber-style jackets are quite trending, and this one comes in three different colors – black wash, tan, and olive (which is the one I’m wearing).

Beauty For the Heart™It is useless for you to work so hard from early morning until late at night, anxiously working for food to eat; for God gives rest to his loved ones. Psalm 127:2

Truth: In a world that celebrates busyness, this verse whispers a counterintuitive truth: sometimes, the most productive thing we can do is step back and rest. The Psalmist isn’t condemning hard work, but rather the anxiety and striving that can accompany it. True success isn’t measured by sleepless nights, but by a life lived in balance. Rest is a gift from God, let’s enjoy the gift!

  1. I’m petite. I wear wide leg pants, but the denim ones overwhelm me. I will be sticking to my straight leg, flares and boot cut. I’m on the look for some cropped jeans that don’t look frumpy.

  2. LOVE me some leopard (never quit wearing it actually) so glad that I can be “on trend” again 🙂 – ha…..seriously in good sized doses only!

  3. My type Soring outfit. I wish I could wear the wide leg jeans but I’m 2” shorter and they always hit me at the wrong place. If I would hem them it looses the nice trouser hem.

  4. Cute outfit! I, for one, am happy that leopard is returning. In small doses, such as accessories, I think it’s classy and sophisticated. And, like Terri mentioned, I wear it in the fall and winter – or to an evening event where one might dress up a bit. I recently read another blog that stated leopard is OUT. So hard to keep up these days! But I guess it goes back to “wear what you love!”

  5. Cute outfit. I have to wear a small heel with my crop wide legs too. I heard about leopard print returning. It’s because of a silly trend called the ‘mob wife” look. I love leopard and still have my leopard clothes and accessories. I normally wear them in fall and winter. I don’t like colored leopard because it looks gaudy. It’s not found in nature.

  6. Love this look Cyndi! Our spring if we get one can be cold! So long sleeve blouses, and sweaters are a must! Can you do a post with more transitional options that start to implement spring colors ! Glad you’re feeling better 💕

    1. Sara keep your straight leg jeans. They’re the most classic. All styles are in style. Some styles like wide legs are trending more right now. Just my two cents.

    2. Yes Sara, keep your straight leg. I don’t think wide leg crop will last long. It’s for sure here for Spring and Summer. I prefer straight crop. You can find straight that are alittle wider but not wide leg. Cyndi styles them a lot. Wear what you like.

      1. I bought the pair of straight leg jeans from gap factory that Cyndi styles often. I was pleasantly surprised with how much I liked them. I’m not sure about the wide leg, flares, or even boot cut though.
