A Linen Vest: How One Piece Levels Up Your Look

You might have noticed that vests are making a strong comeback this spring. Today, I’m sharing how I like to style a linen vest from Old Navy.

A Linen Vest: How One Piece Levels Up Your Look

My vest is from Old Navy and is a linen blend, which makes it perfect for spring and summer.

I paired the vest with white trousers.

My woven tote works well with my slide sandals. My sandals are from Amazon, and they’re comfortable. I ordered my usual 7 1/2 size, but they felt too big, so I sized down to a 7.

I love the tailored vest look; this will be a great outfit for warm weather.

Beauty For the Heart®“These things have I spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.” John 15:11

Truth: In John 15:11, Jesus expresses his deepest desire for us: to share in his own joy. He doesn’t want us to simply trudge through life burdened by worries; he wants our hearts to be filled with joy.

This doesn’t mean joy is always easy. Life brings hardships and disappointments. But even in hardship, Jesus’ promise remains. His joy and a deep abiding peace can remain in us.

    1. Hi, I live in central NC but my husband travels there frequently and recommends the House of Heidelberg if you like German food. Also a Hendough for chicken biscuits and doughnuts. For a nice bath and body store, I really like Willow Hill in the downtown area. Wherever you go, enjoy and have a blessed Easter with safe travels.

  1. Hi Cindi, I’m from NC, and one of our favorite restaurants is Postero in Hendersonville. Hope you get to check it out while you’re there. Have a blessed Resurrection Sunday!

  2. I remember doing vests in the 80’s!! 😀

Enjoy NC!! I hope to make it to one of the Carolinas this year as well!! <3

    Have a blessed Resurrection Day!

  3. How is the quality and fit of the pants your wearing? I don’t buy much from Amazon but those pants look nice.

  4. Cute outfit. I like vests. I used to wear those back in the day. I tried the Target one but the extra small was too small. They didn’t have a small. I’ll have to try Old Navy. Hope you have a great weekend and good Resurrection Day.

  5. Love the outfit you’re styling today. So on trend and easy for hot weather. I just recently bought a navy and white striped sweater vest from Abercrombie. I won’t be able to wear it until May probably when the weather gets warm enough here in the northeast.Enjoy your trip and Happy Easter!

  6. Hi Cyndi, I am a NC girl and go to the our mountain towns quite often. Arabellas is a good little cafe for brunch. Brandy’s on Main and Shine are good places for dinner. There are some other really nice restaurants and shops in the downtown area. If y’all have time, I would also highly recommend going to Waynesville, NC which is maybe an hour away from Hendersonville. That town is one of my absolute faves. Enjoy your trip. Happy Easter✝️.

  7. We loved White Duck Taco Shop. There is one in Hendersonville and another location in Asheville on the river. Great food! We had breakfast at Kosta’s Frieside Restaurant. It is a cute diner with good food.

  8. Love NC! We have been to the Lake Lure/Chimney Rock park area east of Hendersonville several times, and the DuPont State Park is a great place to hike. Looking forward to hearing what you think.

  9. My niece and I did a road trip last year in October to Hendersonville NC. Downtown is so nice and clean. A definite must is McFarlan’s Bakery on Main Street. Won’t miss it as there’s always a line out the door.

    1. Hi Cindi, I live in Hendersonville. It is such a great place to live or visit. Our Main Street is very nice. There are a lot of good restaurants there. Plenty of hiking nearby. I hope you enjoy your visit.

  10. Hi Cyndi
Binions is a go to for the locals and out of towners for a good burger or steak in Hendersonville NC. On the other side of town leading to Pisgah Forest is Hawg Wild, a tasty BBQ place. If you continue the drive into the forest, you’ll want to head to the Blue Ridge Parkway, the restaurant up there is very nice. It gets very busy. I think it’s called Pisgah Inn. Beautiful hike at Triple Falls in Dupont State Forest. Can get busy there too, but worth it. Enjoy!
