Date Night Outfit-Red Paisley Top

This past Friday night Wayne and I had a special date night with a dear friend. She is a godly woman and mentor to us. Her husband passed away almost three years ago, and he was also a mentor to us.

When Wayne and I were young in ministry, they took us under their wings, and they loved on us. They have been huge influences in our life.

We had a wonderful evening sharing, laughing and we even shed some tears. Wayne and I are blessed to have her in our life.

I wore this red paisley top from Macy’s. It has an off-the-shoulder neckline with bell sleeves. It’s a polyester/spandex mix, so it doesn’t wrinkle, and it’s priced right at $20.93. (My light pink sunglasses are from Banana Republic, they have this color online.)

I’m so honored that you have taken time out of your day to stop by my blog. I’m also on FacebookPinterest, and my favorite one, Instagram.

  1. Hi Cindy! I judt start following you. Ehat a great taste you have. I am so uplifted by your espirituality and also fot your great advice om fashion. 🤗

  2. Love the outfit. The top is so pretty. I just might have to get my first off the shoulder top. I haven’t really been a fan but LOVE this one. You look so great in it. I was wondering if the knees in these Wit and Wisdom jeans are loose to begin with or bag out later? I love my first pair of Wit and Wisdom, as I love the waist band how it fits so comfortable but they fit good everywhere but the knees. Its like they made the material too big there. So, I haven’t tried anymore of this name brand since. These look so slim in the knees and tighter though. I might have to order and try. I just read your Sunday post today also and want to thank you for sharing your heart and it really truly helped me. I think we all as woman at one time struggle with what you mentioned…..I know I do and its good to know even when we see bloggers who look like everything is perfect, not to compare ourselves, as no one life is perfect and we all go through struggles and seasons in our lives. We just need reminding of this when we feel alone in our pain. God is good and I love the Helen Keller quote. I love her. She was wise. Will be praying for your days ahead.

  3. Thank you so much for sharing your insecurities and struggles the other day. Makes me feel less isolated and more “normal”. I guess most of us have those feelings as well. I love your blog. You’re very inspirational, beautiful inside and out, and a therapeutic for me (Lol). I feel like God sent you my way. I’m so glad I listened to him and started following you. God bless you my dear!

  4. I bought the same shoes from Target the day you posted them! (Black & the tan you have on)!! I really like them and are a great heel for comfort, not too high.
Love the colorful top from Macy’s…..looks like something that won’t go out of style too quick either.
    Have an awesome Monday Cyndi.😍

  5. You look beautiful as you always do. But it is not just the clothes,it is your inner glow. You radiate light, love and joy. Your Christian approach to life of giving God all the glory bears witness that you are indeed a child of God. May His blessings continue to flow freely to you and yours.
Grace and Peace are prayed for you and all your days to come.

  6. I already have a pair of full length Wit and Wisdom jeans from last year and love them, but I may need to add these cropped ones to my wardrobe!
They are so comfy, almost like wearing a pair of leggings.

  7. Love this outfit!! Times spent with friends, especially old friends who are like family, is the most precious time. I am glad you got to be with this lady. Keep doing what you are doing! I Love it!

  8. I love this outfit…. and your hair is beautiful! Can I tell you that I love your “date night” outfits for more than their cuteness. My husband and I started “dating” again a couple of years ago when we realized our boys would be heading into the world and leaving us behind. We had invested so much of ourselves into them we had lost sight of “us.” We make it a point to have date night at least once a week. It’s nothing extravagant; sometimes it’s drivig half an hour each way to pick up our favorite pizza and sometimes it’s a movie. Just tagging this times as date nights makes them special. I hope others do the same, it has strengthened our marriage and (lol) reaffirmed our belief that we will be just fine as empty nesters 😉

    1. Joan….you will be okay as empty nesters……we made it….. but its hard thinking about it I know. We had 3 children that we put our lives into and once empty-nested, we were lost. So, I’m glad we also started doing the date nights before they actually left. It really does help. We are like you….doesn’t have to be much, but just calling it “date” night changes it up. 🙂 Thanks for sharing,……I’m sure others have benefited from it.

  9. Great outfit Cyndi! After seeing black jeans on a lot of bloggers, I have added a pair to my wish list for this fall. Thanks again for keeping us up to date!

  10. Oh my, I love this outfit!
It looks just so refreshing and
perfect for a day out and about.
Cyndi, I’m not sure if you ever really
told us what happened in the church
community but I have a good idea it
was because you post fashion but we
all know you have put Christ first before
fashion, if this is what it is all about, they
have only blessed you in the process!
Stay strong and keep doing all you are
doing and I have said a couple times earlier
in your posts, I see Big blessings coming
    your way!!
    Have a blessed day!!!!

  11. Could you please style more outfits from JCP, Kohl’s, Target etc. , as many Christian women are not wealthy and can not afford Nordstrom’s, Macy’s and Loft. But, we as average income women would like to look stylish too. I don’t see any women in my church wearing Nordstrom clothing. Please consider this . Thanks.
