It’s a New Year!

Happy New Year! I’m always excited about a New Year. It’s a clean, fresh slate!

The beginning of a New Year is a great time to get organized. I’m wanting to organize some things at home but I’m also trying to think of ways to organize my blog.

One of the things I’m implementing is a Gallery Page. You can see where I’ve added it in my header below.

Welcome 2013!
I’ll be adding more of my posts on fashion, beauty and hair tips so keep checking back. I’m hoping it will help you all find things easier.

Another thing I’d like to add to my blog is more video tutorials. But to tell you the truth, I don’t like videoing myself—AT ALL.

My sister always says I’m way too serious in my videos, which is not my personality. If you’re around me for very long, you’ll know I love to laugh!

Well, with the beginning of a New Year, I wanted to personalize my Happy New Year message. Instead of just writing Happy New Year, I tried to say it. But to say it was a flop is an understatement.

I also realized that when I say blog, I say it with two syllables, kind of like this, blo-og. It sounds terrible but it’s my southern drawl coming out! I edited that word out until I can say it with one syllable. 🙂

So as you can imagine one of my goals this year is to get better at vlogging. We’ll see!

  1. You are adorable! I have traveled at lot and I think everyone has an accent depending on where you live. So don’t worry it. Just be yourself. There will always be haters, and people who judge. But I think you will find the majority of people who follow you like me will just love you and your message! Happy New Year!

  5. One of my goals for the new year is to start a blog, but I have no clue about any of it, the technology, how to get started, etc. I would not have any idea at all how to do a video! Good for you!

    That was awesome love that your keeping it real.. Being in the North and from Alabama people think your a southern idiot even with a degree I have been here in MN now 18 years and my accent want go anywhere, but some love it and some don’t I love it cause it reminds me where I’m from and proud !!! Bless Your Heart!!! And they really love when I say that !!!

I live in NJ so I’m not sure what you would call my accent but its definitely not as great as yours!! Practice, practice, practice as they say. The more videos you do the more comfortable you will become and more of your personality will shine through!! I’m enjoying seeing you and your blog grow and looking forward to 2013 with you.   10. Happy New Year, Cyndi! I love that you showed us your video. It was cute. I love your KY accent! It’s way better than my “hick” GA accent. I try very hard not to sound so country, but it’s hopeless! Once when I was explaining something to a new patient, he looked at me like I was crazy. I just laughed and said “I know it’s hard to believe I have a college degree. I also passed two board exams for this. Can you believe it?” He smiled after that:) People tend to associate Southern accents with stupidity thanks to film & tv.

Hi Cyndi, I live one state over in Cincinnati, Ohio, right across the river from Kentucky and we don’t have a southern accent, but I always enjoy hearing one as it always sounds so friendly and inviting–just like your blog.
