Fall Shoe Preview 2015

Fall Shoe Preview 2015Yes, I know it’s still summer and I plan on soaking up every last minute of it! But, I can’t help and take a look at some of what fall fashion has in store for us.

Let me begin by saying the “classics” are always in style especially for women over 40. I am not going to throw out my classic wardrobe but I do think it’s fun each season to add a few trendy pieces.

This fall, it seems like we are going to see a lot of 70’s inspired fashion. So for those of you who say you wore it once, and you won’t wear it again, the fashion trends may not float your boat. 🙂

Today, I’m going to do a Fall Shoe Preview. Truthfully, I think there is something for everyone. Whether you like heels, flats or boots, you will find some cute fall shoes.

Fall Shoe Preview 2015
1. Over the Knee Boot-These are definitely 70’s inspired and they were popular last fall and it looks like they will be making a comeback this year.

These boots I wore last winter were over the knee boots. They weren’t the extremely high ones.

2. Studded T-Strap Heel-Heels never go out of style but these studded heels are going to be a fall favorite.

3. Men Inspired Shoes-These shoes are hanging around this fall. I’m not a huge fan but I think some people can pull them off.

4. Mary Jane Heel or Flat-The Mary Jane style shoe is typically a lower or flat heel and I think they have a vintage look.

5. Fringe Boots-Fringe is going to be popular this fall whether it’s on your handbag, your clothes or your boots.

Of course boots in general will be in style. I’m seeing fur boots, booties, and western inspired boots too.

What do you think of the Fall Shoe Preview? Would you wear any of these styles?

Beauty for the Heart~~I snapped this picture with my iphone this morning while I was having my devotional time.

I have never seen clouds like this and it was amazing! I think God was showing off, he can do that because he is God!

cloudsYours, O Lord, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty. Everything in the heavens and on earth is yours, O Lord, and this is your kingdom. We adore you as the one who is over all things. 1 Chronicles 29:11

  1. Beautiful pictures of the clouds. I’m always taking pictures of the clouds, too. Of the fall shoes, I like the Mary Jane type shoes, but not with pointy toes.

  2. I love your fashion ideas and you look great in all the outfits!

I am only 5’1″ Can you suggest fashion for petite women? I am also in my 50’s

    Thank you for the inspiration

    ?

  3. Ok – those clouds are A-MAZING!!!! I would have taken a bunch of pictures too – SO beautiful!!!! I always love boots – we here in the Midwest have a lot of colder and winter months, so boots are a really big deal here and a great way to accessorize any outfit, short bootie style or long. I too see a lot of fring on boot, shoes, purses, vests and I think that will continue. I do tend to prefer more classic looks, and am not a “shoe” person, but I have several family members who are, so I know I will be seeing more of the fun, trendy styles – for my taste, the men’s inspired shoe is too severe looking, and I never did like the Mary Jane look, but the t-strap works for me.

  4. Just came back from Buenos Aires. The women there are very stylish and beautiful. It was their winter and most of them wore very cute and stylish boots. I saw a lot of the fringe look. Also saw a lot of red boots. They wore mostly the ankle high type. Made me want to buy several!

  5. Oh my goodness, I already have a pair of fashionable shoes?! That never happens, but I bought oxfords just like the picture last Fall and on sale. Cyndi, it must be your influence!

  6. Hi
Love your cloud pics! It looks like they are coming down to say hello. Our God is an awesome creator!! I think I may need to do some fall shoe shopping love the studds n maryjanes. Hope i can find ones that are cute n comfy. I got my second stitch fix box today. Loved everything but everything didnt fit. Its fun getting clothes delivered to work. Thanks for the suggestion!
    Blessings

  7. Kentucky is so beautiful!!! Makes me want to live there. My relatives live in Owensboro. Those clouds are quite the sight. I like your Fall preview. I also prefer the more feminine looking shoes.

    1. We didn’t see clouds like that in Owensboro. wow! I love the men inspired – they remind me of saddle shoes. I have been looking for a mint color pair but they are expensive.

  8. I love the pictures you took of the clouds. I agree God sometimes shows off just how magnificent He is.
Thanks foe sharing fall shoes. I am always needed shoes, just never buy any until it’s to late and I have to settle. This will help me get it in gear to start looking sooner

  9. Wow! Those clouds are amazing! I love the men’s shoe…I have always worn these even bought actual men’s shoes in the past! Like them win jeans or corderoys with a girl top in lace or a twin set…worked on my feet so these were practical and comfy.

  10. Thanks for the Fall preview! The photo of the clouds is awesome! I love taking pics of clouds.
    God Bless!

  11. Wow, I just had to comment on those clouds! They are so cool and amazing, yet freak me out a little. Whenever I see odd looking clouds, it makes me worry about what weather is coming!

  12. I just bought a pair of suede booties from TOMS for fall. Do I need to treat the suede to protect it?

    1. Laura,

I would suggest just spraying a coat of protectant on it to be safe – especially if you live where it rains a lot or snows!

  13. I just bought a suede pair of TOM fall booties. Do I need to treat them with anything to protect the suede? What are your thoughts on this?

  14. God paints pictures that no artist can ever duplicate! those are beautiful clouds and thank you for sharing!
I will be looking for a pair of the fringe boots – looked at some last year but bought others, this is the year! I do like the “menswear” inspired shoes – especially in winter with work attire. Not a fan of the extreme pointy toed shoes though.
Thanks for your work – I appreciate you and look forward to my daily emails 🙂

  15. Last year I purchased the Sam Edelman Petty bootie in black suede and wore them with everything. This year I have added a second pair in black leather. They are a low ankle height bootie perfect for mild southern Ca fall/winters. Thanks for sharing the trends, verses and beautiful pictures. Not sure how I can add in fringe yet since shoes and purse are fairly new and fringe less. Maybe on a sweater!

    Blessings,

    Beth

  16. I love the over the knee boots and am sooo sad I didn’t grab some when I saw them on end of season sale this past Spring! They are so versatile.

  17. You captured some gorgeous pictures. Those really cause you to sit back and marvel at the beauty of His creation!

I am a fan of T-strap and Mary Jane shoes. They add such a feminine feel to an outfit. They are great when the temperatures start to drop because they cover the toesies!

    Blessings,

  18. Thanks for sharing the photos of the clouds! God never ceases to amaze me with His ability to make all things new and beautiful!!!

  19. Gorgeous, gorgeous clouds…the awesomel handiwork of our God! BTW Cyndi, you live in a beautiful neighborhood! I’ve learned to never say never to most things and fashion is one of them. I was in my teens in the 70’s and to be honest, it’s kind of fun to watch some of the past styles make a come back with an updated twist! Just sort of takes me back to my youth. I do like the fringe trend that is popular again…the booties are adorable!

  20. I love the studded shoes; have been looking for a (cheap) pair for a while now. I wear nursing clogs and scrubs to work five days a week so I do not feel the need to pay a lot for my “weekend” shoes. I might do the over the knee boots; had a pair once and liked them. If I can catch them on sale I would probably get them. I already have 4 pairs of boots and 1 pair of RED suede short boots that I will get a lot of wear out of this year. Keep up the good work; your blog is one of the highlights of my day!

  21. Yes, I would and I do 😉 I already have 3 pair of fringe suede boots, and a men’s oxford style shoe and over the knee boots. So i was ready before I knew it. lol

  22. It is so interesting that you mention 70s-inspired fashion today. Last night I saw a commercial on TV and two gals were wearing fringed vests. I told my husband, “that looks like one I had in the 70s.” I have always been one to say “if you wore it the first time around, better sit it out when it comes back.” But between the fringe and the bell bottoms (which I also wore and saw a girl wearing at a baseball game last week), I don’t know what I’m going to do. The over the knee boots are out for me because I am short with short legs. I have not done the booties yet and may finally have to try that trend this year.

  23. Hi Cyndi,
I’m not ready for fall though I did do some shopping at Nordstrom’s pre-Anniversary sale! I tried the Valentino studded shoes earlier this year. I have big feet for my height and the pointy toe just made my feet look ridiculous. 😉 I’ll have to find a shoe w/o that really pointy toe. I love the Mary Jane style! Thank you for the post!

  24. Those clouds are AMAZING!! We had some interesting clouds and sky last night in our corner of Iowa. My 4-year-old daughter got in the car and said, “God sure made a pretty sky for us tonight!” It doesn’t get any better than that!

As for the shoes–since I”m short I don’t think over the knee boots will work for me. This year I would like to try a pair of booties–really late for that bandwagon—don’t even know if I’ll be able to catch it!

  25. Wow, those clouds…….. in the first photo, I see a big dragon with wings and some white whales. God is showing his power and glory!

  26. I love the over the knee boots! I was wondering your thoughts on combat boot styles? I know they have been around a couple years, but I am just now liking them more! I really like the Steve madden troopas. Any thoughts?

By the way the clouds are beautiful!
