Graphic Tee with Animal Print Skirt

Happy Tuesday, ladies! Today I’m sharing a graphic tee with an animal print midi skirt. I love to wear a midi skirt even if I’m just running errands. They’re comfortable, and you can wear them with heels or sneakers.

I styled this animal print skirt with a graphic tee that says COURAGE. The funny thing is I had this tee on the other day when I was doing an Instastory, and several women thought it said COUGAR (as in an older woman who likes much younger men).

They did say they thought that was off-brand for me. Umm, yes it is.

I think most of them figured it out, but after I received a couple of DM’s with them saying it took them a moment to figure out, I shared a screenshot and said my tees says COURAGE.

The COURAGE tee has a distressed neckline that makes it a little edgy.

The animal print skirt is 100% polyester, so it doesn’t wrinkle. You can wear this skirt when the weather turns cold with boots and a cozy sweater.

Let’s talk about my black wedge heels. Remember when I said I wear nude shoes 75% of the time? Well, 25% of the time I mix it up, and this outfit seemed to work best with black wedges.

It’s casual and fun, so I wanted my shoes to be fun too, I’ve also worn this outfit with my Steve Madden sneakers.

If you’re not into graphic tees, you can wear a plain black tee. I wore a black sleeveless tee with this skirt to church. I wore my denim jacket over it.

  1. Oh my gosh. I think that it’s hilarious AND disturbing that anyone would even think that you’d have a shirt that says “cougar”. I mean really???? 😂😂😂😅🙄🤦‍♀️

  2. Love the skirt, but not with the t-shirt. A more casual skirt like a jean skirt would look great wth the t-shirt and those wedges, but I am also not the biggest fan of rips in t-shirts, or words on them, as I think it is much better suited for the much younger crowd.

  3. Well, that graphic tee story gave me a great chuckle! Glad you had a chance to explain before folks started giving the side-eye to your hubby. I wore a graphic tee w/a black blazer and jeans and had about a half second where I wondered if I am too old, but no one batted an eye! Now that I have YOUR approval, I will wear them with confidence!👍🏻😁😉

  4. OMGoodness! I found your post via my Google news feed, probably because I wear tees with pencil skirts almost every day to homeschool. I didn’t realize until the next-to-last picture that you’re in Wilmore!? I saw the Barnard Law sign, and you could’ve knocked me over with a feather. 😆 I’m surprised we don’t know each other already! You look fabulous — much of it is the pure delight in your face (the rockin’ outfit doesn’t hurt, either, of course).

  5. I just can’t get into the tshirt/midi skirt look…but I do love that shirt! Especially because I was one of the people who thought it said COUGAR (which fits me, because I’m 7 years older than my hubby, but we’ve made it 21 years and going strong!)…and COURAGE I love because I just overcame Stage 3 breast cancer!!! You look cute in everything, btw! 🙂

  6. I have never commented before, but just wanted to say I love this outfit. The t-shirt and skirt totally work together. I’ve learned so much from following your blog. Thanks for all you do!

  7. Ha! I remember that Instastory and you quickly explaining that your shirt did not say “cougar” – LOL, that was funny!
Love the shoes! and BFTH speaks to courage appropriately. Thank you!

      1. To me the shirt does not appear to “represent the gay community” and so what if it did? Your comment was very odd.

      2. Yes, the word “courage,” with the letters in the rainbow colour spectrum could possibly represent the gay community, which has really come into the limelight in the last few years, which consists of 6 colours, and God’s rainbow consisted of 7 colours, and would never represent or celebrate sinful behaviour, according to the bible. Many countries have used rainbow flags for mission statements , and for political reasons, It is best to leave judgment to our Lord and Saviour. Amen. I think the t-shirt Cyndi is wearing simply represents “courage” in regards to her Christian faith.

      3. I’ve read comments on Cyndi’s blog before that have made me shake my head. But I’ve never read a comment that has left me speechless!

  8. Ok so I love the shoes but they look like they have an intersting/unique cut to them on how high up they go on the middle of your foot…..are they really comfortable to wear all day?

  9. I honestly thought, at first, that the tee said cougar. Lol
I say yes to the solid black shirt with the skirt and a big NO to the graphic tee with it. The graphic tee would look good with a Jean skirt or jeans.

  10. Hello, Cyndi!😃

Nice black tank top. No to the graphic tee, the skirt and wedge heels- the Whole outfit looks messy together… probably because the skirt looks too busy!
    Have a wonderful week!

  11. Love a graphic tee… What a funny story about the tee shirt LOL. I like the sweater your wearing in the pic with Wayne. I just purchased a light grey like it, and now I’m tempted to go back and get the burgundy color.

  12. LOL- love the story behind your graphic tee! I must say I can’t wait until your post tomorrow because I think I’m going to love that sweater from your sneak peek!
    Have a great day Cyndi!
