Congratulations Sandy!!
I’m convinced that Spring is coming although we did have snow flurries yesterday! 🙁
Mom made this delicious Taco Salad many times and I loved it!!
This special taco salad is served on individual plates.
For smaller children, use dessert plates.
Springtime Taco Salad is pretty enough to serve for a ladies luncheon on your patio,
or for special families, just like yours!
Best of all it’s super easy!!
SPRINGTIME TACO SALAD
1-1/2 lbs. ground chuck
1 package taco seasoning
8 oz. can tomato sauce
4 tomatoes chopped
8 oz. shredded cheddar cheese or Mexican blend shredded cheese
1 head of lettuce chopped or 1 bag of shredded lettuce
crispy round tortilla chips
8 oz. sour cream (I used the squeezable sour cream)
1 jar of salsa
Brown hamburger in large skillet over medium heat. Drain grease.
Add tomato sauce, water and taco seasoning.
Simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes. Stir occasionally.
Layer lettuce, meat mixture, shredded cheese, tomatoes on each individual plate.
Arrange tortilla chips (under lettuce) around the edge of the plate.
Top with salsa and sour cream.
Enjoy!!!

Congratulations to the winner! The taco salad looks yummy!
So neat! I’ll have to try this sometime. I enjoy your mom’s recipes so much! My husband are in Key West Fla., and I heard about those snow flurries at home yesterday. Hard to imagine when you’re in 80 degree weather! Gail
I love the way you plated the taco salad. It looks like a flower, perfect for spring!
