Mother’s Day Gift Guide

Good morning! Mother’s Day is fast approaching so I wanted to share a Mother’s Day Gift Guide with you. These are items that I would love to get for Mother’s Day (wink).

Most of you know that my Mom passed away in 2009 and I miss her terribly but I celebrate the blessing of having an amazing Mom and I’m so thankful for her legacy that she left her family.

Mother's Day Gift Guide

Monogram Tote//Coffee Mug//Cozy Cardigan (I was given this as a gift. It’s pricey but so so comfy for wearing around the house with your pjs.)//Drop Earrings//Pendant Necklace//Scalloped tote//Best Mom Ever Tumbler//Everyday Obedience Devotional (These everyday devotionals are my favorite.)//Monogram Necklace

Okay, I wanted to let you know that Macy’s is having their Friends and Family Sale! Many of the designer brands are on sale. You might find something special for Mom at Macy’s. They have a Mom’s gift guide and there are some really cute gifts under $25.

Mother's Day Gift GuideMichael Kors is even on sale at Macy’s which rarely happens! I took my sister shopping yesterday for shoes and she got these wedges and she could not believe how comfortable they were.

Mother's Day Gift GuideHang with me!! I wanted to let you know that there is a Faster Way To Fat Loss class starting on May 22nd! You all know I am loving this program. It really is a lifestyle change and if you are wanting to feel better and get in shape, I highly recommend this program. Go here for more information.

ONE MORE THING….

Many of you commented about the Differin Gel I mentioned in my Questions and Answers post. The link is directed to the right product, it’s Retin A which is used for acne BUT it is also used for wrinkles.

If you google Retin A you will find all kinds of information on how to use it. You only need a pea size amount on your face and neck.

Thank you for taking time out of your day to stop by my blog. I’m on FacebookPinterest and my favorite one, Instagram.

Beauty For the Heart~~Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good. Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other. Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically. Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying. When God’s people are in need, be ready to help them. Always be eager to practice hospitality. Romans 12:9-13

This week let’s live out Romans 12:9-13.

  • Let’s love big and work hard.
  • Remember we have a hope and never give up praying.
  • Help the needy and welcome people into our homes.
  • Be Jesus to a world that desperately needs Him.

Have a blessed day!

  1. Thanks for answering the question I had about Differin. I’m going to my first Kentucky Derby party tomorrow. I haven’t worn a hat since graduation! Lol! Enjoy your trip.

  2. I am sure you mom was an amazing woman. You and your sister have some great Mother’s Day picks! I love the totes! I bought totes for my mom and aunt this year (Sole Society). I hope they love them!

  3. I love Katie Orr’s Bible Studies. I have done Everyday Hope, Peace and I am now doing Everyday Love with some women at my church. I am so excited that Evetyday Obedience just came out! I have learned and grown so much through these studies.

  4. I’m on week 1 of FWTWL and love it! The 12-8 eating window has eliminated my evening snacking; the workouts are challenging but Amanda’s attitude of Progress not Perfection makes me push my 71 year old body…hoping to firm up the flab😬

  5. I am on the fence about the fitness program. Could u give an example of what foods you might eat in a day or examples of the excercises? Have a bad shoulder and can’t do a lot of push-ups..or if I can do the excercises at home.

  6. I am only on the first week and I feel a difference already! The fasting has really helped me control my appetite and eat better during the 8 hour window. I am doing the beginner exercise program and so far it’s perfect. It’s enough that I feel sore, but not to the point where I could injure myself, since I have never been a consistent exerciser. The beginner workouts are just what I needed. Today is day 4 and so far so good!

  7. I recently found your blog while looking for outfit ideas on Pinterest. I’m really enjoying your posts! I’m so sorry that you’re spending Mother’s Day without your mother. I appreciate your positive attitude and so agree with your comments about your mom’s legacy. My dad passed away this past Christmas Day. Lots of people have asked me if it was especially hard to lose him on Christmas Day. I think it’s hard to lose someone you love on any day, but I am just so thankful that I had such a wonderful, Christian dad. Have a wonderful Mother’s Day!

  8. I am doing FasterwaytoFatloss with Amanda Tress. I’m on week 5 and can see the results. I thought fasting would be hard but it is no big deal. I’m never hungry but I’m sore many days. The workouts are no joke. I will continue to follow this program on my own it’s a lifestyle that has taught me how to listen to my body and be healthy. I highly recommend anyone give it a try!

  9. My daughter and I both are signed up for the May 22nd class!! We are both very excited about this program and can’t wait to see where it takes us!! I’m happy to know for lots of women, it’s just not all about weight loss, but overall well being!!

Have a beautiful day and God Bless All!!

  10. What are the most noticeable changes you have seen using the Faster Way program? Would you recommend if muscle/toning is the goal not weight loss?

  11. Good morning! I am currently doing the FWTFL program and am in week 1. I love the exercise with it but am really struggling with the food and calories. I have trouble meeting my calorie goals, especially since I’m trying to eat fruits, veggies, and protein. I would love to get your suggestions on how you do it. I don’t really need to lose weight but want to tone and get stronger, kind of like you. 😉

    1. I’m on week 5 of the program. I discovered gluten free oatmeal, sweet potatoes on regular calorie days. Low carb days- raspberries for the fiber I eat a whole container at a time, nut butters and I detest protein bars/shakes but RX bars are delicious. The dark chocolate sea salt is so good. Those will help with the calories. I have the same problem with the calories and food intake in the feeding window. You will get it. Give it a few weeks.

  12. I recently purchased those Kendra Scott drop earrings and and Elise filigree necklace similar to the pendant one that you have but it’s just all gold. I absolutely love them. I have worn them so many times and the necklace is great because you can vary the length. They go with everything!

  13. In reference to the Macy’ Friends & Family sale – I have on 3 different dates tried to order or buy in store during this sale, but the coupon hasn’t worked on a single item! It’s beyond frustrating!!!

  14. Since both my mom’s already have so much “stuff”, we usually spend the day together instead. This year we hope to go to the Botanic Gardens as long as the weather cooperates!! I do feel very lucky to be able to include them in my blog, because I know one day that won’t be the case. Can you believe my mom is almost 80??
