Sunday Encouragement-Jesus Walks With Us

walk in it
This week as I was doing my Bible study, there was something Beth Moore said that has stayed with me all week.

“When life is rough, I feel unworthy because I’m invariably not handling it perfectly. When life is terrific, I feel unworthy because I know I don’t deserve it. It’s a maddening form of spiritual neurosis.”

I share her neurosis! Either way, I feel unworthy at times. I don’t have it all together. Some days it’s three steps forward and two steps back.

Life is full of rough patches, and deep hurts. I have some deep hurts that are too personal to share on a blog but my guess is that some of you do too.

On the other side, I have many blessings and I’m so thankful that there is joy on the journey. Amen?

The one thing I know for sure is that Jesus is walking with me. I don’t walk this journey alone and if you know Christ, you are not walking it alone either.

Jacob walked with a limp (Genesis 32:31). Some of you may be limping today but I promise you He will walk with you.

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego had to walk through fire (Daniel 3:25). Anyone feel like they are in the midst of a fire? Is life throwing some unexpected things at you? God is in the fire!

The two men on the Emmaus Road had lost all hope (Luke 24:15). Have you lost hope? God will meet you right where you are.

The good news is, Jesus is walking with us. Through the joys, through the pain, season to season, He is with us!

If you will listen, he is saying, “This is the way, walk in it.” Isaiah 30:21

I absolutely love this young ladies voice and her music! The lyrics are powerful. Know that you are loved!

There is a love that calls me by the name
Sure as the sun, the moon, the stars remain
Your love for me will never change
Jesus, Your lo – o – ove
Je – sus, Your love

There is a love that takes me by the hand
Guiding my heart to find its home again
And where You are is home to me
Jesus, Your lo – o – ove
Je – sus, Your love

Chorus:
So let my heart tell You again
When seasons change and stories end
Your steady love
It will sustain me through it all
Je – sus, Your love

There is a peace that stays though storms may come
I hear Your voice within the winds that blow
I hear Your song, it calls to me
Jesus, Your lo – o – ove
Je – sus, Your love

Chorus
So let my heart tell You again
When seasons change and stories end
Your steady love
It will sustain me through it all
Je – sus, Your love

There is a strength that rises up in me
To know that You’ve been here be – fore me
A strength beyond what I can see
Jesus, Your lo – o – ove
Je – sus, Your love

  1. This has been on my heart this week as well. Thanks for your faithful encouragement!

That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 Corinthians 12:10

  2. Thank you , Cyndi, for your inspiration. I have deep hurts and God has help me to overcome them on most days. Other days Satan knows how weak I can become.

  3. Thanks for the reminder. When life gets tough it’s easy to forget that we are not alone. We have a Savior who walks with us to help us carry the load. Have blessed day and a great week.

  4. I love her voice, what a great song…..I know if God hadn’t walked with me, held my hand, and many, many times carried me, I wouldn’t have made through a lot of things in my life.

  5. Cindy,

Thank so much for these words today. I lost my mother this week, I know that Jesus is walking with me through it and celebrating heaven with her. You are a blessing.

    Jana

  6. Beautiful song! Thanks for this message Cyndi. I know that without Jesus walking right with me I would not make it. God bless!
