He Calls You By Your Name

He Knows Your NameI was going through some quotes I have saved, and this quote popped up. There is truth in these words.

Satan continually reminds us of our sins doesn’t he?? He tells us we are not worthy. He knows where we are weak and he will use our weaknesses against us every single time.

John 10:10a reminds us what Satan’s plan is for us, The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy.” It doesn’t get any plainer than that! He wants to destroy us.

But Jesus……..“I have come so that they may have life and have it in abundance.” John 10:10b

Jesus knows our weaknesses and our sins ( he died for our sins), but He wants to give us life in abundance!

Not only is He for us, but He calls us by our name!

I love John 20:16 where Jesus calls Mary (who was one of his followers) by her name and she immediately knows it’s Jesus.

Jesus said, “Mary.” Turning around, she said to Him in Hebrew, “Rabbouni!”–which means “Teacher.”

He called her by her name and can I tell you, HE CALLS YOU BY YOUR NAME. Maybe, someone reading this today, needs to know that He knows your name and He is for You!

I’m such a fan of Lauren Daigle. For a young lady, she sings with such passion. This song reminds to Trust Jesus. He’s got this!

  1. Thank you for this Cyndi! I ask for prayer for our mission team going to serve in Nicaragua October 17-24 . Satan has put many obstacles in our path. One of our team members was diagnosed with cancer. She passed away very unexpectantly yesterday. She was taking radiation and was doing well. Her husband is in Afghanistan. Please pray for her family.
Also as of Friday another team member is not going. Her son was in a horrible car accident. She will be taking care of him. These are just the 2 biggies; there are many others. My husband and I have been on numerous mission trips, but have never experienced this much opposition.

    1. Joan I am praying!! I would love to hear how the trip goes. It does seem like you are having opposition but that means you all are going to be used mightily!
      Blessings,
      Cyndi

  2. I needed this so very much today. Thank you for all you do God has given you a gift and a talent… you are so Blessed! I know in my head all the things you said is true. But somehow in my heart I stumble. I am also having challenges in my extended family relationships …. I pray that God will help and let his will be done in these struggles. My Hope is in the Lord! He is all I have …

    1. Thank you Rhonda. We all struggle at times, believe me. I write about things that I need to be reminded about too.
This is a journey and I want to finish well!
      Blessings,
      Cyndi

  3. love this song… I only had heard her song, “How can it Be”… now I added this song to my playlist too 😉 beautiful! have an awesome day Cyndi . thank you for sharing

  4. I get a blessing from the music video every week. Our son (53) has been recently diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer and so many times I am receiving the peace I need for the moment through the music you post. A friend reminded me this morning of a mesg from Charles Spergeon that said when believers are going through the fire it feels like we will burn up completely but God protects us with an insulated suit that keeps us from being totally consumed by the flames. That suit of course is Jesus. Thanks again.

    1. Pris thank you for sharing that quote from Charles Spurgeon. Praying for your son and for you too. I know it’s hard to see our children suffer no matter what their age.
      Blessings,
      cyndi

      1. Thanks Cyndi, God is faithful. It’s easy to give Him the glory when things are good but even better to give Him the glory when things are not so good. Pris

  5. Love Lauren Daigle’s song! Thank you for taking time to post such encouraging words. Thank God, he knows me by name.

  6. Thank you Cyndi! I needed this today. I’m not dealing with anything horrible, thank goodness. I am trying to do a better job at loving extended family members in the way I want to be loved, no matter how they treat me, but I’m not doing too good of a job. When my husband & I married, his son was in his early 20’s and in a serious relationship with a girl that made it obvious she resented me taking the #1 position in my now husbands life. Twenty one years later, I am really treated as a “step” family member, and that hurts. I just can’t seem to let it go! The wife really shows care ,d concern for my husband on his birthday, Father’s Day, and any time he’s sick. When I’ve had serious surgeries, not one once of concern has been shown toward me. Last night I vocalized a prayer to God about this. His love is most important, and I know I’ve got that! And He is always with me, no and’s, if, but’s, or or’s about it. So satan is attacking me, and I know it.
    God bless!

    1. Yes so true…
Today at church reminded of the truths about Our God!
He is El Roi the God who sees
      Psalm31:7 and many more!
Always remember his word is our
Source of comfort vs devils lies!

    2. Ginger I am so sorry about this. I know that it’s hard but hang in there. I often remind myself that I’m not responsible how other people treat me but I am responsible for how treat them.
      Blessings,
      Cyndi

      1. Thank you Cyndi! Right now I am not very proud of my actions over the years. Now is the time to do better, so that I am more pleasing to God.

        God Bless!
